What Would Happen if The Entity Becomes a Playable Killer

With the New End Game changes comming in, is almost comming clear that The entity is becoming stronger, Lore Wise. From the beginning of DBD only being able to eat up survivors when sacrificed, then latter helping killers by blocking windows, blocking exit gates and breaking pallets.

Now soon he'll be able to kill survivors in the end game. Maybe soon in maybe a year or two The Entity might become a playable killer as time goes on and he gains more hope from the survivors the Killers sacrifice. Time is drawing near people of the Fog.

But how would he be? Would he be an even bigger monster (in terms of viability) than Nurse herself? Or will he be like one of my favorite powers. Being able to Hook a survivor, pulling them at face value and then downing them. Making him a very feared killer against those survivors who try and tebag on the exit gate.

Basically, what kind of power would you think The Entity would have if he ever becomes a playable Killer?

Okay, this is gonna be a long comment...

To make it more easy, i'll simply call the Killer "The Entity".

Sacrificial Hooks is the name of its Power.

You have 4 Sacrificial Hooks in total.

When there's enough space in front of you (taking length, width & height into account), you can place a Sacrificial Hook in front of you.

It'll be all fleshy & a bit glowy-orange & Entity spiderlegs stick out of it.

This SH (Sacrificial Hook) will stand here permanently, but can be removed by The Entity if they're close enough to it.

An SH will automatically grab a Survivor that gets too close to it (like 1-2 meters max.), unless a Survivor is already taken by it.

To avoid getting grabbed, move past it while crouched.

Once grabbed, it'll be EXACTLY as if they're on a regular hook: They can struggle, try to escape, get rescued or die.

The amount of times you are hooked synergises with SH, meaning that, for example, if you're hooked twice on a normal hook, you'd die on an SH.

Rescuing a Survivor will put the SH on a cooldown for a few seconds, allowing both Survivors to run away from the Hook without getting grabbed again immediately.

Sabotaging an SH will destroy it permanently, but it'll come back to The Entity, allowing it to place it again.

Only sacrifices reduce the amount of SH permanently.

I made this up in, what, 5 seconds.

I just saw that new sacrifice animation and thought: Huh, that's almost like a mobile hook: They can get sacrificed anywhere.

Entity shouldn't be playable as by logical reason.

    • Can block windows
    • Can destroy pallets more easily
    • Can change maps tiles
    • Can block exit
    • Can call crows to his side
    • Can block Gen
    • Can sacrifice faster

In fact the entity control all trials that means pallet , windows blocking everything since he/she is the one that created those realm. the only one that can put a fight against the entity is killers themself.

Entity's power should be to alter the RNG of an area of a map.

So basically when she stands on a tile and uses her power things swap around. A jungle gym might be backwards or a different version. Totems would move to another spot on the tile. Orientation of small structures change (eg. shack). But then if a gen is running it keeps running just moves around to a new orientation on the tile.

I also imagine her to look like a shadow-person version of Nurse, with Wraith's Hallowed Blight head, and Hag's hands, and with spider legs that walk (but it still kinda looks like a floating Nurse).

@xllxENIGMAxllx What about a killer created by the entity? A son/daughter with less power?

Entity's version of Jesus or something.

A child sent to the real world then brought back eventually

@SurgDexil The Entity has always been all powerful. It just never interfered because it never felt like it. That's the lore. The Entity can kill the survivors at any second but chooses not to as it wouldn't give it as much energy as playing with its food. This is the Entity's realm. It can do whatever it wants. It's just deciding to act more now.

But what would happen if he decides to try a bit harder by acting as a killer and playing with the survivors himself?

Wouldn't be a bad idea. Like a small aspect of The Entity.

The entity will only be playable through the use of a splinter.

Entity has no access to perks but his power makes up for his.

The entity is the creator of the endless escape. His power comes from where he builds the world therefore he can destroy it.

The entity moves at 105% speed his power seals off windows and pallets (only one item can be sealed off at a time vaulting/using/running through the blocked off area puts you in the deep wounds state, reapidly going through the sealed of area will cut your timer down 20% each time

The entity passive abilitys are: all interactions are quicker, Gens broken will be blocked for 15 seconds, searching a locker will bring any one survivor that is in a locker within the 15 meters to that locker, entity breaks pallets much faster as well as vault window, once all gens are completed the Entity becomes agro and speed is increased to 117% with instant down at the cost of its power

Now entiy can't be this boss without his weakness: For every generator completed the light shines ever brighter slowing the Entity interactions, light is very harmful to the entity light flashed at blocked off area will go away, entity gets blinded quicker and stuns caused by flashlight will stun longer

during the collapse phase survivors can work together shining a light on the killer slows the entity to 113% and removes instant down for 60 seconds, if the survivors run the entity through all 7 light up gens then a special event will happen where 4 ultra rare flashlights spawn in the basement. Survivors must then wait till the last 5 seconds of the collapse left at that time all survivors must shine there light at the entity having the collapse turn on itself ending the Entity

Reward would be getting the ultra rare flashlight

It has enough charge to get 3 instant blinds (item cannot be found in bloodweb)

He would be a standard Killer who's power gives him the OG ebony mori.

IF he uses an actual mori then he kills them TWICE.

I don't want to be that guy but The Entity is actually a woman.

This was taken from the wiki article that was made by @DocOctober

Who correct me if i am wrong, is also fluent in French. Just feeling the need to correct some of you for thinking that every Antagonist in a video game is automatically a man.

Geeze, no wonder the strongest killers are usually female killers.

The Entity has like a Feminist side to her.

The Entity: Anything male killers can do, female killers can do better.

    Entity would be OP.

maybe as an event thing but nobody actually plays the entity. Other than that, it would not make sense whatsoever for the entity to be a playable character since they literally control all of DBD

"It" and It would personally be really cool though, even if it was for a limited time.

Killer power: Devour souls. Triggers a Collapse and immediately kills all the survivors.

Dont throw stones at me but i guess there are "lore friendly" ways the entity could be implemented as player in the trials or as interactive factor for the trials.

    • I dont think making a "The Entity"-Killer would fit the game, the entity is not the ACTIVE thread of the survivors but an onlooker.
    • A more fitting role would be that of a RTS commander supportive element. similiar to the AI director of the L4D series or the aforementioned RTS-shooters' commanders (Natural Selection and "etc" since i dont know any others lol) Though i dont know WHAT actions would be not considered OP or too killersided. Also If the entity should be neutral or killer sided ("Entity player" gaining BP based on ALL performance or just killer performance)
    • ALSO HUGE TROLL POTENTIAL IF NOT DEFINITELY ALLIED WITH KILLER
    • It would need to be a seperate gamemode as the normal trials arent "balanced" for killers with an additional helper.
    • Not to be confused with a 2v8 mode.

The entity shouldn't be a playable character as it controls the trials. You can't win against the entity. Lore wise it would make absolutely no sense for the entity to be a killer itself since they are basically the god of the realm where the trials take place.

  • Bongbingbing
    Bongbingbing Member Posts: 1,423

I think the Entity being a playable killer wouldn't work. The Entity controls the trials, If you put it in the trial to run around playing it's own game of torment it seems silly.

Not to mention the entity would most likely have to be the strongest killer if they were to be in the game and no way in hell will the devs ever make a killer stronger than nurse.

Now an Entity possessed survivor or plant-like killer that the entity has brought to life sort of like the ones in the hallowed blight event could work since it wouldn't exactly be the entity itself.

I really love that idea. I could imaging, that this could be the final last update for DBD. To include a splinter from the entity herself.

The Entity is Almighty God in her Realms, so she cannot be balanced or defeated. Just imagine a bad player who gets 0k with the Entity: should they get the "Entity Displeased" result? O.o

A kind of Entity's apprentice or child would be amazing, instead.

I could see the entity as a fun game mode. Where the goal would be to survive as long as possible and try to take the hatch.

A bit of a Battle Royale against the entity.

    Truly monstrous and powerful.

The entity on itself has no active powers or perks.

She just has all the entity helping perks as base:

    Bamboozle

    BBQ

    Blood Warden

    Corrupt Intervention

    Monstrous Shrine

    Spies from the Shadows

    Spirit Fury

    Whispers

Ruin and all Obsession perks can be arguable, but even without them it would make a terrific m1 killer.

Survivors get BP for how long they survive, how many gens they manage to do and a massive bonus if the manage to escape. Maybe something between 20-30k total.

For the entity hook twice then absolutely brutal and cool Mori them. Survivors cannot die on the hook and the entity can Mori the last survivor.

But you would get more BP if you manage to hook every survivor twice before devouring their hope.

Edit: if the entity Moris the second last survivor before they could unhook the other, all the hooks automatically breaks/drop the survivor who can run for the hatch.
