About banning people (concept)

I remember that in Overwatch I got a disclaimer after sign in telling me that someone got banned because I reported him.

Could be very good if you could actually know that your reports are useful by this way.

Disagree. Let the Mod staff just do their jobs and not worry if someone was banned or not. I see no usefulness in knowing you got someone kicked out of the game.

I get called infinite things out of pretty at least every month, just for being spanish, died, killer everyone as a god, used a mori,... (I get insults just for playing legit)

Blizzard was smart with that, because that disclaimer makes you feel better of playing overwatch.

If i get xenophobic/13yo insults and etc just for playing better than them, then I just get done with this game, and I'm pretty sure that many many people left for this.

I've seen this idea implemented on quite a few sites and a few games, and it apparently pretty much universally improves the community and increases the number of people using the report function for what it's intended for. I'd support this, even if it's just "Action has been taken on a report you've submitted," without any additional information or even what kind of action was taken. At least then people would stop saying that nobody looks at the reports.

You get insulted, racist comments made to you, report them and be done with it. The support team is good at their jobs and those who behave in that manner are dealt with. I do understand where you are coming from, as I get deal with a ton of homophobic bs and my wife gets tons of misogynistic garbage sent her way. I just report it and move on. I would not feel better about playing a game if I got an alert that someone I reported was banned.

Actually devs really wants to make people use the report system, they updated it many times and makes disclaimers about to report (for example the infinite mending)

In League of Legends there's the same, but it doesn't says the nickname of the banned and I don't care about it, only in get a report feedback makes me better. It could be in DBD as well.

We don't normally see the action of the ban, therefore we don't know if our complaints are being taken seriously. Allowing people to get a bit of feedback makes that person more trusting of the system.

some people love to use slurs when they die as if it didn't make them look like the worst sore loser ever...those people need to chill.

calling me and other people you've never even met on the internet racial and homophobic slurs will not make the game experience better for you
