Pig's playstyle is being completely flipped.
I'm still relatively new to DBD, so feel free to correct me. However, as a Pig main, I can't help but get a little defensive after seeing what just dropped on PTB. Keep in mind that everything I'm about to say comes from my own observations and playstyle. Again, feel free to challenge me on anything.
RBTs, on live, are a way to effectively remove a survivor from the game temporarily. If they focus on objectives or get too carried away with altruism, the trap will pop, and they'll die. This forces them to do boxes. Chasing somebody with a trap on their head pauses the timer, so you're encouraged to chase and interrupt other survivors in the meantime. The timer pausing in Pig's terror radius, however, means that coordinated survivors can lead the killer towards teammates that have RBTs in order to give them more time. There's a decent chance, depending on the map and the box spawns, that this can even happen on accident. RBTs aren't abusable in the same way that Legion's Deep Wound is, so this nerf seems somewhat unnecessary, and excessive besides.
I've also found that trap management is important with Pig. Using all of them before the gates open to slow down objective progress is a totally viable strategy, but if the survivors are being particularly quick about generators, you could use one or two traps in order to give yourself that second wind during the endgame. While I can understand how it's frustrating for the survivors, and this might be just fine as its own change, it makes the other big issue with this "rework" that much worse. As far as traps' interaction with the endgame collapse goes, I think the timer slowing when a survivor is trapped while keeping their old function would work well enough without gutting Amanda.
Traps pausing in Pig's terror radius also, intentionally or not, allows them to function as built-in Whispers. Considering how much weaker they are as slowdown or second wind tools, a lot of Pig players are going to see this as the most effective way to use them. In order for them to function as Whispers, Pig needs to be standing up while she rotates around the map, forfeiting her stealth ability. This added tracking ability encourages and enables Pig to focus, or in some cases even tunnel a trapped survivor. This compromises Pig's entire identity, and drastically changes the way she'll be played. Not to mention how frustrating it would be to play against.
Amanda's identity is being lost, or at the very least, changed. As a Pig main, I don't think it'll be for the better. She's being changed from a stealthy killer who can either slow down a game, or turn fast games around... into an alternative Wraith.
Again, feel free to challenge me on anything I say. I'm still relatively new, after all, so I may not even be justified in bringing this up. Hopefully I'm not the only one who's concerned about this, though.

Update: Apparently this faux-whispers tunneling strategy is the PTB Pig meta. Watching somebody play it confirms that it's even more disgusting than it sounds. Here's hoping this doesn't make live, holy hell.

If this changes go from ptb on live we start see dc against pig...

Tunneling strat?
You mean just tunneling in general

I believe OP means the specific idea of using the timer pause to find a Survivor and then crouch tunneling to chase a survivor with an RBT while the RBT timer still counts down because 0 terror radius = timer does not pause.

This is exactly why killer's should not see the progress of their powers, ala Plague, Legion. Give them stronger, healthier options to kill, not ones that encourage tunneling (even more).
3 -
Pig shouldn't not be able to see whether or not her traps are ticking, she just shouldn't be nerfed like this in the first place.

That makes no sense. Not thematically or mechanically.
People seem to think that not seeing these things makes tunneling less likely when it is the exact opposite. No one likes to guess especially when you can't waste much time. So when you have less information about your own power what do you think people resort to doing? They tunnel you down because that way they know exactly what is happening with you. Killers need certain amounts of key information to actually play in strategic ways, but people keep wanting killers to have less information. Then they complain when they just get tunneled because it is the only sure way to have any sense of whats what.
If everything reads the same info wise you're just going to get treated as if one is as good as another. That means even if a better more strategic target is available if you happen to be the one there and your timer looks as dead the next timer you're getting attacked no matter if you kobe'd got unhooked or ran a marathon with jukes for days.
Speaking to the theme of Saw, Every Jigsaw Killer knew EXACTLY what was happening to everyone in their "Games". Everything was meticulously planned down to literal seconds and they knew exactly how much time someone had left and where they were. It was a very methodical process. The only difference for Amanda is she cheats people out of a fair shot to survive. So why would she not know the time?

Amanda dont play by rules but devs dont know that or just got his own idea...

I think you're misinterpreting what I meant by that. My issue isn't Pig seeing whether or not the timer's ticking. My issue is that it stops within her terror radius instead of in a chase.
In order to prevent the main effect that I (and many others) are concerned about, the PTB change would either need to be reverted, or she would need to have even less information. I would highly, HIGHLY prefer the former over the latter.

I still don't actually believe that the Pig seeing the death timer would promote tunneling (if the change to the timer pause did not exist; with the balance change in the PTB, it totally would). That's sorta off-topic-ish, but eh.

Sorry. Do Plagues not tunnel until broken?

So the killer shouldnt have informations about the own power,
because it could be to strong.
Thats..... dumb.
Both sides should have the same informations.
Now the survivors have tons of informations and killers have no informations.
Here is a list:

This is my biggest concern. It basically reduces to almost zero the lethality of RBTs and as a consequence the pressure they put on survivors: they could even repair gens in the killer's TR without worrying about the trap on their head. It also doesn't punishes tunnelers, since they can just crouch to keep the timer going on just as now, with the difference that in crouch mode the chase can still start.
I'm ok with the endgame change since you just need to use the last traps when 1 gen remains

I would accept this stuipid change if the pig was john kramer or other pig mask killers.
The fact it is amanda is stuipidest ######### ever seen that it semi melts the brain away.
She cheats so having traps during endgame is perfect cause she can push a single survivor to kill themselves. Her following what her character is in movies is amazing. She definitely for revenge would kill them and also make her traps go off on her own terms.
Kramer is straight by the books and probally wouldn't hook anyone as killer but this change would be understandable. Cause he is following rules that him and survivors could agree too. Play the game only 1 way and if survive deserve to live.

Timer aside, the new terror radius thing encourages tunneling. You dont have to crouch. You simply go to the person when their timer stops because it tells you they are in your radius. You can hear the trap timer and read their scratch marks and then proceed to knock them down and hook them again. Its disgusting for a killer who is antithetical to tunneling.

Plagues have the same ######### playstyle. And they don't even have a choice NOT to tunnel. They literally have to stay on that one person because as soon as they leave that person gets a free botany infused med kit. Some could say "Well that just lets you use her corruption to down people 4Head. But in actuality it just wastes your own time picking up fountains, starting a new chase, and then hopefully landing 2 shots to KD plus the sprint after the initial vomit. You're damn near NEVER going to run into a situation where you can mass vomit multiple survivors with it. So she turns into a huntress with less range for a bit, and god forbid you need to block a gen with vile amid any of this.
Meanwhile other M1 killers just KD the person and move the hell on. Her chases without add ons are better done without vomit....just due to time.

After qna they said they understood and fixed the one thing noone cared about.
She should play like amanda again and not an original killer.

Yeah. That was kind of my point lol. She can't see the progress of the sickness so she tunnels anyone she sees so they don't heal and so she can get them broken.
Which is kind of opposite of what Mat_Sella was saying. Even if the Plague saw the progress it wouldn't matter, she'd literally play the same.
