What do you guys think of Pig's ambush ability?
I am by no means a good Pig player but I get better results mixing some perks and using crouch than when I am "ambushing" people. Dunno if it is because I play on console but controlling it is not my issue and my sens is always on 100. I can hit people with it but I can hit people without it too and I can ambush them more easily using something like nurses and crouching.
Do you guys like using it? Is it more good than I think it is?

It’s only good at loops IMO, you’re usually better off uncrouching and swinging at them.

It's pretty #########.
All of the Exhaustion perks completely invalidate it and the crouch mechanic; while cool, is rarely that useful unless you're trying to counter a loop.

If they gave it a little buff I don't think survivors would mind. Pig needs some love, she is an interesting killer but kinda underpowered.

It would be good if they either removed the screeching sound warning or the delay before attacking. As of right now, it's use is so incredibly limited which would make sense if reverse bear traps were more than a game length extender (and as weak as that was, the new patch is going to bring a hard nerf to them). But since that's all they really accomplish, her ambush being weak just makes her a low tier killer.

It's not very good. Occasionally useful at some loops, but usually, as you said, you are better off standing up and trying to grab someone off a gen (or just hitting them).

Crouch / Ambush is pretty good as it gives you 0 TR on demand while allowing you to move. The main downside I'd say to using it is the field of view you have does not actually represent the height of your character and should be slightly higher (For the killer vision) but that's really about all I'd change with it. You need to understand when you can use it and it's pretty much all about mind games.
I hate how an option for Pig is being taken away but what ever at least the TR change was reverted. I'd personally prefer a compromise of Traps activate past 5 gens but heavily slows down EGC while active but I don't know how appealing that sounds to anyone else. Whole point of the traps late game were being able to prevent people from leaving. At best you get 1 survivor maybe 2 after 5 gens.
Personally I'd only save 1 trap at most if I thought the game would go that far but usually never have to resort to that. I just like having options on the table you know what I mean?

The ambush is good.
Maybe you get stealth attacks.
And in short loops in works perfect.
But RBT are useless.
Because they slow the game down, but only for 1-2 min.
And thats not much for 4 RBT.

The fact that pig mains going for uncrouch to hit the survivors rather than ambush attack tells us everything about her ability.
They need to do something about her RNG and ambush. It would be very sweet if they could increase her crouch walking speed and camera point as well.

I agree. It won't be too much work and no one would complain since it won't make her broken. If most of us agree on this what is stopping them to give her a few buffs?

Isn't it listed as the same ability? Either way I think the ability as a whole is good but I use it for mind games more than expecting an ambush attack to land each time. My only expected change would be a slightly higher camera for The Pig but that's all I'd really change.
Not going to complain if it's buffed either way though.

After learning and watching psychoscopion on twitch that man is beast with his ambushes and one of his clips is trending due to his ambush style.
I wish I could do half the things he pulls off but on console it's alot harder but love watching the guy he's really good and such a nice person plus fog whisper to boot.
Really worth checking him out tho! Regardless

It's pretty trash. The only time it's even semi useful can be at a loop and even that's not much. Only an idiot or low rank is getting hit by her ambush. It just isn't good enough. 99% of the time you are better off just uncrouching and going for the hit, which in itself tells you it's pretty bad.
