Ebony Moris sabotage your chance to pip so why use them?
They look cool but they don't help you pip in any way, on contrary you will either black pip or depip if you use them. So my question is what is their purpose in the game if they don't help you "win"?

Most people don't like the look of a survivor team. I.e, they got a full flashlight team so they assume they're SWF and bring a mori.

you win against the guy that teabagged you when you put in a bps last game. dont you know?

I don't care about those silly pips or rank. I enjoy the mori and it makes things things easier to get rid of one survivor

Because of this bs:

The majority of people don't give a damn about emblems.

Noone cares about pips cuz there is no point. So the only real goal is to have fun, kill as much as possible or survive with as much mates as possible

It's EA Games-levels of gay getting chased, hooked, and then tunneled just to be killed 15-30 seconds after coming off of your only hook. Ebony Moris are also typically an auto-loss for survivors. They aren't fun, and killing should be a basic part of the killer's gameplay path (with more killing animations on top of it, imo). Sadly, it's tucked away behind Devour Hope x5, or items that are incredibly unsatisfying to play against, or even use as a killer.

Pip? Why the heck would I care about a Pip or a rank? I don't. Not one bit. I Mori because I want to. End of story.
If I was inclined to begin caring about Rank again (which, I am not) there are far better games out there to play Competitively.

I use mori when you are SWF or have many items. I don't care my pips and whether SWF can enjoy the match or not.

I don't find ebonys fun no matter which role I play. Guess I am in minority.
Some of them look nice but that's it.

A win is different for each player.
Or some it's to kill as quick as possible, some like to multi hook, some like to let every one go, getting that one click survivor etc.
Emblems put conditions on pipping but that's not always winning for the players.

I don't think people care about pipping or ranking up when they use a mori. All the people I know use mori's cause it feels good. It's a fun things to do, to mori everyone. Should it be possible to delete survivors after just 1 hook? Don't know, that's another discussion, but damn does it feel good to do.
Even if I play a survivor, I'm in a way honored when I get moried. I might have a weird look on it but I actually like it(lol). It's cool so why would I be mad when I experience it? Sure, if I got moried every single game it would start to be annoying, but that not really realistic.

Why use them?
Cause i like my kill move, i like to kill and i don't care about pips.
In fact, i still don't like red ranks after 3 years, so i guess this is a good way to avoid those.

To do a daily or just to get rid of a really annoying survivors very quickly

A mori is good for one thing: Crippling a survivor team. If you know one survivor is particularly good as evading you and you manged to catch and hook them, you don't want to give them a chance to get away again.
Another good use for Mori is the mid-game when 2 or more gens are done, axe off one survivor you hooked right away and that's one less to worry about doing gens.
Mori's aren't meant(at least with the current emblem system) to be spammed after one hook, you hook them twice, THEN mori them for max BP and emblem points.

Interesting post.
If you get more points for using them after the second hook and saving some time too, it seems pretty neat. I rarely saw people using moris that way tho. I will give it a try.

You equip an ebony if you either:
Want to be toxic OR kill toxic a toxic SWF squadette with strode key map, BL, and purple flashlights

Most people use them to early which results in forfeiting those additional points. Waiting allows you to gain the points first but also forfeits the advantage of early game pressure. Results are dependent on your timing.

There is no reason to rank up. You are just making queues longer for your self and limiting what killers you will see or be able to play effectively.

I don't care about pips at all. I usually use mori to have a lot of pressure on survivors early on.
Getting a person out means only one person can do gens since one is chased the other is going for unhooks/heals.
Getting pips/rank 1 means nothing to me but longer wait times for more difficult matches.

Let me stay at the ranks the game is balanced for. I don't mind.

Rank is worthless

Not everyone cares about rank.

Mori's are an exception of the monotony of sacrificing survivors with hooks akin to getting astral finishes in blazblue or fatalities in mortal kombat.
As with certain addons for certain killers, the mori scoring simply hasnt been adjusted to the changes in the ranking or emblem system.
