Who ruins Ruin?

And if you don't, do you run NOED?

Two perks that counter genrushing, I want to know who runs which. Or do you run both together?

Or neither?

I personally don't run either, but that's because I like to feel punished when I get rushed or mess up, idk why though, NOED wouldn't be a bad pick, but my build, STBFL, Sloppy, Thanatophobia and A Nurses calling (same on Hag and Spirit) allows me to slow the game down and easily get Thanatophobia stacks with STBFL's reduced cooldown.

I run NOED on my M1 killers.

NOED is the best hex in the game for the reason that the survivors don't even know you have it until the game is at an end. A much safer option than any other hex because the survivors have to expect it and if they don't they get punished.

I do not run Ruin, I do run NOED.

    Kind of the trade off.

Billy: Nurses calling, BBQ (obviously), NOED...I switch out Lightborn/Franklin's Demise/Thanatophobia

Alternate build for fun: Distressing/Overcharged/Unnerving Presence/Stridor

So yeah, I guess sometimes I don't run either. But....I'm only rank 7....so, don't need perks for try hards.

HAD to edit....my favorite set up of all time was: Huntress Lullaby/Distressing/Unnerving Presence/Overcharge I had an amazing amount of success with this build before the game started announcing to survivors that there is a totem out there to find. Then maps got even bigger, making protecting the totem they were looking for almost impossible to last. Although, within the last week I did get a 5 stack on the PTB....it was shown in my bug report video.

I run Ruin on my killers if they have it unlocked but I'm planning of replacing it for something more useful and more chase oriented.

For NOED i don't run it because I don't like it, it's cheap and I could be using something that worked for the entire game instead of just at the end.

NOED has changed the entire game for me more than once.

Sweaty try hards, no doubt. MoM, flashlights, body blocking...all of it. I use their arrogance against them. Even had the gates open. BBQ with NOED on Billy...just back and forth across the map. The totem was right behind the first guy I hooked.

I understand the "grimy" feeling of it...and survivors call me trash all the time for being a Billy with NOED. I'm like, come on!!!! How many perks are off limits? So now...I ignore it..if they don't DC first.

I never liked running ruin. Its extremly strong vs bad players but against them you dont need it and just get used to having too much time which hurts your preparation for real games. Against good survivors it mearly does anything besides removing the bonus progression since they can hit the great skill check and even then it can just spawn in an obvious spot and get taken out before it does anything.

I used to run NOED because i had no other perk i really wanted and its good if you get genrushed but i replaced it now with Infectious fright which i just love as a perk.

the only killer i maxed and still use ruin on is the Doctor, as his ability to increase skillcheck difficulty works wonders with that perk.

besides him, only on killers that are not maxed out andd dont have a better choice. currently sloppy butcher took over ruins spot in my builds.

also, no. i do not run noed unless i am meming.

    I never liked either.

    NOED is an endgame Perk.

I never run an endgame Perk.

Ruin always makes them go for my Totems.

And that's definitely not a thing i want with Devour Hope, which i always run.

I run Ruin on everyone. I kinda want to get Corrupt Intervention to stack with it, along with Overwhelming Presence and Distressing, or swap one of those with Overcharge.

Pig is (soon to be: was) my main killer for testing various perk builds, and I've been enjoying Ruin, Bamboozle, Spirit Fury, and Enduring. I just don't find anything as effective overall as Ruin. It gets cleansed quickly a lot less than it has a serious impact on the matches for me.

I run ruin, gens finish too fast without it and I hate NOED so I'd never run it. I'd try Pop Goes the Weasel but seeing as how I would have to level Clown and then get lucky with the bloodweb, I think I'll stick with ruin.

I run neither generally. I run NOED on Trapper and Leatherface if I want to be sweaty. I run Ruin on Hag, because I have nothing better on her.

Other than that, I run neither perks. I don't play these 3 killers that often either. I main Pig, and occasionally Huntress/Spirit/Nurse/Trapper without NOED.

I run pop goes the weasel and overcharge.

I don't like to use ruin or noed when i play killer. Im all about trying to make the match fun for everyone.

I know how boring it is to vs as a survivor every game.

I don't use either a majority of the time, ruin may still be on my hag bc I'm too lazy to change up her build. I like not using them because if I win a tight match I know the survivors have nothing to blame at that point and it shows me my own skill/shortcomings and I can learn or use other perks (as above PGTW). I can see why people feel it's necessary to use ruin at higher ranks but it gets broken so fast it's basically like wasting a perk anyway and I prefer other hex perks that survivors don't instantly know are in play (like DH)

I don't find Noed useful since it only works at the end (if it still stays which is rare).

Ruin gives me enough time to at least find one survivor and start the chase (if they don't spawn on it).

Neither, both can be countered and force you to waste perk slots , on my billy I currently run pop goes the weasel, BBQ, spirit fury and enduring , it's been working out pretty well honestly, I use to use ruin to slow the game down but it's pretty much a 50/50 on whether it stays active longer than a couple minutes

Haven't been running either of those perks. I'm sick of depending on them tbh.

I use Ruin because it is needed to have a chance against efficient survivors.

I don't use NOED because it punish survivors for doing their job and reward killers who do poorly during 90% of the game duration.

I run both ruin and noed, depending on the killer. my favorite loadout is currently

    Doctor

    Yellow range addon

    Calm addon

    Overcharge

    Pop goes the weasel

    Distressing

    Unnerving presence

Some people have said Pop goes the weasel is better than Ruin. I can totally see it working on Spirit actually, I'll try it out.

The 2 perks just don't have the same scope. Ruin slown down all the gens unconditionally as long as the totem stand. PGTW will set back a single generator that you kick provided you hooked a survivor within the last 30 seconds.

PGTW does nothing until you manage to hook someone and even then it can be wasted if there are no progressed generators around or if you have more important things to do than kicking a gen.

If I'm going to kick gens, I'd rather use Overcharge. It can be applied unconditionally and provide extra regression and a notification if the skillcheck is blown. And because it is unconditional it is actually great for keeping survivors from swarming a near finished generator.

But Overcharge, jut like PGTW is not a substitute for Ruin. Because Ruin work on a global scale and not a single generator at a time.

I use Ruin at higher ranks on most killers just so I can have a more chill game. It's like almost mandatory even though very VERY good survivors aren't even phased by it.

@Decarcassor PGTW is a very strong perk on certain killers. Specifically Billy, Nurse and Spirit because they can hook someone, see you on a gen and get there quickly to kick it. Not as good as Ruin no, but it can be really good sometimes. But I will say it's better than Overcharge because it actually adds time to survivors. Overcharge doesn't add time and if they are good at skill checks it's worthless. PGTW has tangible effects.

Only with Trapper mostly but if I run Ruin then it's always combined with Thrill of the hunt and on Certain killers and builds only .

I enjoy Combining Ruin and Thrill with Trapper Ultra-Rare add on that injure survivors when disarming a trap . But it all depends on totem placement and luck .

Otherwise I never Really depend on Ruin it's a weak perk IMO vs Good survivors.

I mostly go with Thana + overcharge + Surveillance + play with your food

    Or

    Thana + overcharge + BBQ + Ironmaiden

I only Run NOED on killers that I don't have these builds on it gives me a second chance while Leveling up these killers and get all the perks I want

I mainly play hag, pig, and wraith, and I use ruin on all of them. wraith and pig because they don't traverse the map quick enough, and hag so I have time to set up traps

I haven't used ruin in a while. It never last. Most the time they will be so focused on gens they wont be paying attention to the three gen setup they are putting themselves in. Then if you applied enough pressure throught the match it will all fall in place for you. No noed neither if they ever get all the gens done they deserve the escape but I dont give up. I've gotten 4ks after all gens been powered plenty of times
