Season Pass suggestion from BVHR: Ideas

In the recent survey, y'all likely seen something about a season pass (I think that's what it's called). I wanna give some of my ideas on what it could be and ask you, the community, on what you'll like to see in the season pass! 😋

If I made a season Pass:

Will cost 2,000 ($20) auric cells to purchase and will include the following:

Cost will decrease by 600 auric cells on every chapter release for reasons below. Whenever the 4 chapters have been released, a new season pass will be made and the cycle continues.

  • Higher cosmetics discounts such as a permanent 50% off until the next 4 chapters are released. Discounts do stack if BHVR decided to add a discount to a certain cosmetic group.
  • Next 4 chapters are free if they are not licensed and you'll be able to get one cosmetic set from both the killer and survivor for free. Licensed chapters are 50% off and if they have cosmetics, you can pick one cosmetic set for free from both sides.
  • Paragraph chapters are 50% if they are licensed but otherwise, they are free. This effect will expire whenever the next 4 chapters are released.
  • Get an exclusive cosmetic that has BHVR on it. This will be included on every season pass so everyone can have their chance to get this exclusive cosmetic.

Buying the season pass after some chapters had been released will not grant you the previous chapters for free (or with the 50% discount for the license ones). You also won't be able to get the 2 free cosmetic sets from both sides from those chapters. In other words, the season pass won't work on previous chapters.

Now it's your turn, what would like to see in BHVR's season pass?

    Some iridescent cells.

    @JawKnight

I'm 50/50 on buying iridescent cells because then you can use them to buy BP to get good perks which at that point, the game enters pay to win territory.

    Shirtless Michael tier 100.

Well it depends on what they put into the season pass. If they went with my idea, you would save more money than just buying everything individually, so really you're benefiting yourself, not just BHVR here.

I was honestly quite surprised when I saw them even mention a season pass on the survey. I really don't think it's a good idea, as season passes have become somewhat controversial in games over the past few years. I say leave the content release style as it is. The chapters aren't that expensive anyway, but you would save money buying each one separately even if there was a season pass.

60,000 Iridescent Shards, $21 worth of auric cells, or it slightly disconnected DLC for $20 with 25,000 Bloodpoints.

It comes with a new EXCLUSIVE survivor that's worthless, and easy to spot. the ONLY point to have him is too flex you have them. They're loud, tall, bright colors, no teachables. Perfect example I made is Mascot Max, someone trying to make a living in a hotdog suit. A large hotdog suit. And is used to being really loud to attrach customers.

You get them early, and level up for cosmetics and emotes for all the survivors (excluding license, including Mascot Max) and killers.

With the pass you gain bloodpoints 10% faster for each 10 levels you pass.

Final Tier is level 100 (Legacy for the exclusive survivor).

These are not the only ways to level up your "bloodpass," but here are some examples:

    • Pip up 3 times total with the killer.
    • Successfully escape a chase as survivor 3 times.
    • And many more I can't think of...

Or, ya could just put 50,000 BP for 1 level of the Bloodpass.

I spent way too much time for something that isn't even confirmed real.

EDIT: What was I thinking!? 125,000 Iridescent shards is WAY too high!

    I have a long idea:

100 levels, pretty hard to tier up.

When you purcahse it, you get a FREE, EXCLUSIVE SURVIVOR! That's useless!

They are really tall, with bright colors, no teachable perks(starts with no perks), and loud. Example: Mascot Max; He wears a hotdog suit. other outfits include a huge lobster, a T H I C K burger, huge instrument, giant banana, prestige hotdog, and mention later.

Once you reach level 100, you get the big boi prize, LEGACY EXCLUSIVE SURVIVOR (As if a large hotdog wasn't noticable enough, now it glows).

The Pass of Blood (Named this so it isn't Bloodpass so Bloodpass and Bloodpoints have the same abbriviation, making it confusing) will last for 6 months, with only 100 levels. Because of this, it's hard to level up, gotta do a lot.

The NEW survivor isn't the only thing this is about, each survivor can get new emotes (in which exclusive survivor gets 2) and cosmetics.

Also, after a season PoB ends, the survivor can be bought for ($16 worth of auric cells), and the outfits cost $4 extra dollars then regular purple skins, and legacy can't be baught. This is only because they could make more profit by keeping them here.

That's an idea I had, any thoughts?

All I want is exclusive cosmetics and that's all there should be. That's what every other season pass does.

Pay 20$ to get cosmetic discounts...ok...

Can't say "free" when you just paid cash...

How about we fix the core game mechanics before we go down the EA rabbit hole...

Some people are confusing season pass with battle pass.

I'd buy a Season Pass if you got a good discount over individual chapters, but then would it include licensed content? Probably not, right?

You'de need enough auric cells to buy the pass again.

There would need to be seasonal cosmetics.

The latest DLC should be included in it.

New emotes. I'de rather a survivor drop a dance after a pallet, instead of t-bags. Cause there will never be an end to BM.

New Killer Emotes: See above reasoning.

Blood points to help the horrible grind

Blood Shards for more customization options

Generic Mori's any killer could use would be a nice touch

And it shouldn't take playing DbD like it's a job to unlock it all.

edit: Also challenge leaderboards for both killer and survivors. So people can compete to be the best Hag, trapper, Jeff, or Claudette. Ect.

Also: I hate the seasonal pass/ battle pass/ paid for progression rewards in a game i've paid so much for already. Most of this could/ should be implemented for free.

Any comments above mine are irrelevant as I now improved my season pass to be more worth it. Finally, if you don't like the idea of a season pass then that's okay, just don't buy it when they make one.

For a season pass I would much rather it just follow a similar formula as other games. Level it up and as you level it up you get different, exclusive cosmetics. That's the appeal of season passes for me. I want to more reason to play the game and I want to get cosmetics that are exclusive to the people who play enough to get them.

What I would like from a season pass is the ability to purchase cosmetics that normally cost Auric Cells with shards instead. Even if the shard cost is higher than usual. Also bonus BP/shard earnings, maybe early access to new content.

That said, I think their store model is in a good spot right now.

I know emotes are super popular but I despise them. I think the makeshift crouching is the worst thing we should have. I don't want to see people dancing and rubbing it in your face every time they drop a pallet. Yeah, good job, pallets exist. You pressed a button and now I have to press a button.

"Season pass" pretty much sounds like some EA style bs. If you wanna throw money at BHVR, keep buying cosmetics, there is a lot out there. If you prefer to pay only for actual content, buy chapters. BHVR, if you guys want more income, just raise the prices for new chapters. I sure wouldn't pay for some vague "voucher" or "coupon" or "pass".

I think the season pass needs to have exclusive cosmetics in it that can only be obtained from the pass. After the pass ends, they can't be obtained again. This would give me and other players a reason to purchase it and a reason to continue playing the game. Would also discourage DC. If the items weren't completely exclusive to the season pass/could be gotten at a later date, I wouldn't care about it and would likely play a lot less because of it. The cosmetics don't have to be super fancy or anything, just decent exclusives. Decently exclusives with a handful of quality cosmetics.

That's the entire purpose of adding cosmetics. It costs them money to make and they need money to fund updates to the game. I would love if every item in the season pass was exclusive. Buy it and support the devs and get cool, exclusive cosmetics. Or, you can choose to not purchase the pass and it has zero effect on your gameplay.

    @se05239

Y'all are overreacting, you don't have to buy the season pass if you really don't want to support BHVR. Also, they have to make money somehow so why are y'all bashing them for trying to run a business?

  • EqMonkVeeshan
    EqMonkVeeshan Member Posts: 416

I think a pass would be stupid for them to implement. it would also push a lot away from the game. just keep the cosmetics locked off behind auric cells if people want to then they can spend the money to get them. you try to force a pass on people it will not end good for BHVR.

  • EqMonkVeeshan
    EqMonkVeeshan Member Posts: 416

they make money off DLC and cosmetics in the store. i would much rather see them do away with buying cosmetics with iridescence shards then add in a pass.

A season pass isn't really that bad in my opinion. It has its pros and cons, but for some reason people really hate the idea of it. I get that it's locks cosmetics and other stuff behind a pay wall but it's not like EA where it's pay to win. You don't need the season pass to have a balanced game because cosmetics don't affect gameplay (unless you're talking about camo-claudette stuff but that's a topic for a different discussion).

    Colorblind support.

    Performance on consoles.

Fixes for bugs that have been around for a long time.

All those before any kind of season pass.

I know is an unpopular opinion but I don't mind season passes for games I really like.

I'm already gonna buy all the chapters / paragraphs, and they normally offer a discount on it when you buy it.

Moment this game goes the "pass" route I will finally distance myself.

The cosmetics are already a major ripoff and I think actually hurting themselves. I mean I could buy some cosmetics for a few dollars. But 10 dollar outfits? To have a "bonus" in purchasing auric cells that they blatantly deny by making the 10 dollar outfits technically cost MORE than the 10. How more people aren't furious about that is crazy to me. I can't even SEE myself as a killer ######### I wanna spend over $10 on outfits for. I swear some of the more elaborate skins actually hurt the framerate as is...

They already should given Auric cells for devotion levels. You get NOTHING for a devotion level much like rank. Give us some actual in game rewards before anything else and then you people can do your " PLZ I WOULD LIKE TO PAY U FOR BONUS XPZZZZ DURR"

The season pass would be cheaper than buying everything from it individually. However, nevertheless if we do get one, it should be more about the player rather than a cash cow.

It would HAVE to include licensed content for me to consider purchasing it. I also don't like the idea of giving BHVR any sort of excuse to half ass chapter releases.
