Plague’s Iridescent Seal: How to Fix It and Make It Worthy

Right now Iridescent Seal goes as follows:

  1. Moderately decreases movement speed while holding Corrupt Purge
  2. Tremendously decreases duration of Corrupt Purge
  3. Vile Purge becomes Corrupt Purge every time a generator is completed.

It’s two major weaknesses for 1 semi okay benefit (that once again is in the hands of survivors’ control) that ultimately makes this a trash add on and certainly not worthy of the 7k price point. Especially when you consider that every other killer with pink add ons has something that’s truly game changing and highly beneficial for them, Iridescent Seal is laughable. It’s almost like (once again) Plague’s true potential is held back in apology for past killers’ impact on survivors (ie. Fountains healing as an apology for mending, Iridescent Seal being worthless as an apology for Iridescent Heads, Tombstones, Kings etc.)

I propose Iridescent Seal be changed to the following:

  1. Vile Purge permanently infects objects (like literally every other Seal in her arsenal, except better because pink.)
  2. Moderately decreases movement speed while holding Corrupt Purge
  3. Tremendously decreases duration of Corrupt Purge
  4. Vile Purge becomes Corrupt Purge every time a generator is completed AND a survivor drinks from the well.
  5. Corrupt Purge inflicts dying on the victim
  6. Moderately increases the speed at which survivors can drink from a well.

This would make it a worthy add on that costs 7k and won’t be worthless in builds.

Plague could use some decent buffs and qol changes but this is a start.

    I don't have that much of an issue with this add-on. Seems powerful enough already with the right set up.

    You have to consider that good survivors will probably be already Broken from vile purge. Put on Bitter Murmur and extra duration time, you can easily snowball.

    I would rather just "moderately" reduces duration of Corrupt and remove the Corrupt Purge speed penalty. That would make it really powerful but still fair.

    Honestly the speed penalty isn't that bad as long as you don't hold the vomit at max charge. I barely notice it.

    It literally doesn't deserve either of the negatives attached to it. Simply remove those negatives and now it's decently strong. That's all it needs.

    In its current state it feels like crap and I'd rather just use good green addons that I actually have control over.

    I suggest a complete overhaul and making it like Iridescent King, the longer you're infected, the more ailments you fall victim to.

    Things like: Exhaustion, Hindered, Blindness etc.

    i dont see why this isnt baseline, (how you can use physically exhausting perks when you're so sick you fall in one hit is rather lame) but i suppose i'll take it at the Ultra-Rare rarity over not at all.

    Oh god, Plague being the killer to play when you’re so gosh darn sick of exhaustion perks would be AMAZING.

    That really should be baseline. It really honestly baffles me how a killer can make survivors sick and it’s pretty much just a fancy color effect with no real downsides outside of broken. Meanwhile Doc has everything that makes sense with his power. Plague COULD be Doc’s more regal, beautiful cousin if she had any actual impact on survivors.

    She can make them Broken in mere moments and down them in one hit because she moves faster than they do. Sickness can tell you where a survivor is or what has been touched based on what you've recently vomited on. It can also prevent stealth with the gas cloud. Not everyone is a godlike survivor who can last through several gens while also in the Broken status. To balance around R1 players would be to the detriment of the game and the majority of its playerbase.

    Plague secondary here, play her so often she may be my second main.

    Quoting this points:

    Do you have any remote idea of how broken this would be? With this change The Plague would end up being a tier 3 Myers with an Irihead incorporated in the first minute of the game with having little to no counterplay. I want IriSeal to be good but not to the point of being a fun-killing machine of doom.

    But there’s also 3 drawbacks:

    1. Slow speed
    2. Tremendously short duration (so like she would only have Corrupt for between 40-20 seconds at a time (whichever tremendously means.))
    3. Survivors have moderately fast healing speed on wells that already have fast heals.
