Seriously survivor disconnections need to stop

Ok I do agree that if you do less toxic things you're less likely to encounter DC.

However there are a large group of survivors who will literally disconnect over nothing.

Trying to be toxic at loop but mess it up and get downed = disconnect

Encounter x killer that you don't like = disconnect

Killer has a Mori even though they don't mori people on first hook = disconnect

Killer has x add-on you don't like = disconnect

Killer is running x perk that you don't like = disconnect

Run around like a headless chicken after being unhooked managing to run into the killer only to get downed by them again disconnect then whine about tunneling.

Honestly nowadays when I'm playing killer I have literally no clue what will trigger a survivor into disconnecting.

I can't play my two favourite Killers Amanda or Legion because people disconnect more frequently with them. I can't play with specific builds because people get pissed off and disconnect.

Also Lord better hope I don't bring in mori because someone is going to disconnect straight off the back.

I've even had somebody disconnect then message me that I was running a try hard sweaty build during an event

I was running

Amanda's letter and video tape

Play with your food

Enduring

Ruin

Bloodhound

Hell Amanda's letter the one add-on that is supermap dependent and even then if you get a good map it's basically mediocre

This coming from a survivor who was running.

MoM

Dead hard

Self care

Adrenaline

With a purple flashlight

But no oh my Amanda's letter build was super toxic.

once dedicated servers get added hopefully that would fix the issue with players that dc:)

incoming survivor mains who will try and argue that lobby dodging is the same as leaving a currently playing game even though a lobby ahs nothing to do with an actual game match going, and ofc the excuse that a bug is somehow making them d/c just as a killer downs them...

It's bad behavior that goes unpunished and honestly it's ruining the game. Why they haven't cracked down on DCs is beyond me...

DCs have reached epidemic levels, I was the lone (and dead) survivor still in the game.

DC epidemic can be easily solved - bring back -2 pips and item loss on DC, no matter was it by bug or by killing process.

Sooo..... you want the game to punish people for the game itself not working correctly???? right.....

    I have frequent disconnects.

Use legion + shroud = Instant dc + the dumb feel to dc against legion without addons and a shroud.

So, I've been playing a little survivor due to long killer que times the past few days, and I've been disconnected from host at least 10 times in a little over 6 hours of play. Once was with a killer who decided to farm with us after only 2 of us loaded in.

I know there are lots of rage quits, but I'm convinced many are not. These game drops are at all times too. I'll be in a chase and it drops, or working on a totem. Heck, it even dropped me as I was escaping.

I know it's not my connection as my wife is still connected to her game and my net speed never changes.

I've also been having these issues like a lot. The game will just DC me from the host.

It's incredibly frustrating as it let's you keep your item and BP, but it also de-pips you and you lose potential BP.

The very nature of a multiplayer game is that there will be good matches as well as bad, and a good player accepts these possibilities and plays the game for the challenge and excitement of the variation in difficulty, because its fun, more rewarding when they win, and a learning experience when they lose that helps them develop skills to become a better player. Our DC'ers however, are opting out of every match they find unfavorable, blaming the game for not being "fun", and repeating to DC until they find a match that is "Fun" because their opponent is easy for them to win against. In other words what our DC'ers are doing is none other than setting themselves up for an easy win every match they actually play, while screwing over everyone else in matches they find unfavorable because they don't want a challenge. This behavior goes completely against the spirit of the multiplayer experience, good sportsmanship in general, is unacceptable and deserving of punishment. There is NOTHING more toxic than a player rigging the game in their favor, especially when doing so hurts the experience for others, and quite honestly, I see no difference in our DC'ers behavior and that of someone who hacks the game... except hackers get punished when caught.

There are a few major bugs that are causing DC's, but in comparison to the Toxic DC'ing, these bugs are in the minority. While these bugs are being addressed by the devs and fixes are coming soon however, the devs have stated that they won't be doing anything to punish habitual and toxic DC'ers until the Dedicated servers are up and Disciplinary committee has been established. Unfortunately for us, this means another few months of watching the game dying painfully due to fed up players leaving/uninstalling the game until this issue gets under control, and who can blame them? My only hope is that, by the time this does get under control, there will still be enough players left to save the game.

There isn't a good way for them to fix it right now. If they just punish players for disconnecting you will have fewer people playing the game. People DC when they get incredibly frustrated at the game. If they are that frustrated, they aren't going to suddenly become good teammates/opponents if they are punished for leaving. They will just suicide/troll teammates/be overall toxic in game. It's not going to make the gameplay any healtheir. Also, people who get punished/suicide/play a game they can't just quit out of, might just decide to not play any more games afterwards. This would drop the player base down a decent amount and would just make queues even longer. The only two solutions that I see working are providing rewarding incentives for people not leaving, or eliminating the aspects of the game that cause that much frustration. The 2nd one is very unlikely to happen any time soon. So, the only viable short term option imo is to come up with good rewards/incentives to entice people into staying in games even when they don't want to.

you CAN NOT punish dcs until the dc issues are fixed. I dcd out of 2 games (never even loaded in), and randomly dcd from 2 more in my 20 games today. This is a known issue, its unfortunate other survivors are abusing it by dcing on purpose

As you know, the intentional disconnection happens during a match in most cases. On the other hand, disconnection by system errors happen while a loading. I think we can do punish rage quitting if devs have a little of smart brains.

As I've stated before some survivors will disconnect over the slightest been they don't like.

    you can't you certain Killers.

you can't run certain addons or perks.

They got hit because they were camping a pallet instead of putting distance between them and the killer.

You got a map you didn't like

All of these are several things that can make survivors disconnect if your plan is to put a limit on all of that then you're just going to make the game incredibly unfun for Killers

No one wants to encounter DC 90% of their movies suck. We have Marvel that's enough

    Don't @ at me

Not saying they don't however because matches are four survivors vs one killer, I encounter a lot more disconnecting survivors doesn't matter if I'm playing a killer or a survivor

    I just ask 1 thing.

Can I have your pig build?

Because I use only 1 build as pig main, because I hate the RNG from the RBT.

If you're talking about the Amanda's letter build

    It's

    Add-ons

    Amanda's letter video tape

You could also use combat straps instead of video tape but since the base crouch buff it's not really necessary anymore.

Play with your food: helps mitigate burn slower than nurse movement speed do you have when crouching

    Ruin: no explanation needed

Bloodhound: This will help you with your tracking if you want more of an aggressive stance rather than a tracking based one sloppy butcher could be a good replacement

Enduring: you're going to be eating a lot of pallets so this is a really good thing to have.

    And how is the playstyle?

Btw "Play with your Food" works with the crouching movement speed?

I though it didnt work, because it doesnt affect the ambush.

    Play with your food

Is really super finicky however it does work with things like Billy's chainsaw so it should affect ambush even though I don't generally notice the difference
