Why the Dev doesn't play the game?
I am not talking like play to test same thing but rather play the game for 1-2 hours ( as killer and survivors) in high rank (7-1).

I would presume that it has something to do with the job, sure they MIGHT play the odd time, but when your job is designing the game, would you really wnt to pend several hours working on a game every day then to go home and play that same game, almost every day of your life with no real benefit, when they could go and get new experiences with other games, providing they choose to play video games at all in their time off.
Also do you not think that should they decide to balnce the game off thier own experience, that they would be liable to bias? wheres with a community it is possble to get feedback from those who my not be boased and put more time into the game.

Yea i think we can be very thankful that theyre working extremely hard improving the gameplay every day. And im sure in their freetime they are not that much interested in it to become a high skilled/high ranked survivor/killer. If they spent some freetime in playin their game Im sure they just wanna relax and have some fun ^^

I imagine most people don't want to go home and play a game they've been working on for the entire day. There are some Devs though that play the game casually and stream it.

I think the devs play the game a lot actually.
But they don't play your version of DBD.
I assume they mostly play their ideal version of DBD.
If all their games would be like Mattieu vs the Koreans they would probably alter the vision of the game.

They play the game for sure, I think I remember them saying they have dedicated time set to actually play the game but I could be wrong.
I know a couple of them do stream on twitch but yes they tend to be around rank 15-7 and balance the game around rank 10 I believe.

Yes I definitely think that the devs should have to play as survivor and killer all the way to Rank 1 then they can really see the problems and the unbalance.

Almo2001 is a Killer (Pig) main. I top out around Rank 6. I suspect I could get higher if I played more often. :)

They literally only play survivor, which makes a lot of sense considering the balance of the game.

They play the game. They just aren't good players and most play survivor. I've yet to see any of them tearing it up in R1 with Killers. I think I've seen @not_Queen playing Nurse, but I can't remember if it's R1 genocide. I doubt it.

Seriously, not everyone has the time to get R1 on both or any side.

It's not about that. They need to be in rank 1 to see a major problems with the balance for both sides.

They stream, well a bunch of them do.
However most of them are not that skilled. @not_Queen has the most skill of anyone working on the game. It's hillarious to see her as a killer when the devs stream playing together. (like at the legion release, she just smashed them)

I think what they should do is find some good survivor and killer mains and comission them for balance testing. Kinda like what Nintendo did on Smash Ultimate. It wouldn't solve every issue, but what does lol?

They are not the game designers. They don't develop the game.

Most are Survivor Mains. Though they play little amount of Killer except for Not_Queen and Horvath. They play a lot of Killer.

McLean is a game designer, he openly talks about ideas they thought about along with changes the are looking at/have made and crunches the actual numbers for a lot of things to give the viewers more facts about the game.

Third, of all the titles given in the list, yours (game designer) was most interesting. I could wki it, or fake that I know what's it's all about like everyone else. The issue isn't that they don't have people on their team playing at high ranks. They know exactly how unbalanced the game is at rank 1. They are just choosing to balance around low ranks because that is the majority of their player base. It isn't an issue of ignorance, it's just following the most dollars.

1) How you will test the thing you want to put in the game and see how they work with real people and no with the best case scenario?
2) The only rank that the game is "balance" ( according to the devs 2 for 2) are in 10 rank +-2 ranks, So in other workds5 ranks out of 20.
3) Most devs can't play the game but can "fix" the game so in order words, you try to balance the game with the stats that you use from very specific times and call it a day.

Haha I think the mic itself is ok. But its cable runs to a USB hub, and that hub also has the mouse running to it. My MacPro Trashcan only has 4 USB ports, and I've got about 9 USB things plugged into it. :D
I don't get the god/river/dist question. Sounds like an RTS reference of some sort!
