So We Buff The Endgame, Logically Let's Nerf Pig
First time back on the killer section after getting flamed in the survivor forums. Oh well.
Pig, an already good endgame killer, is being nerfed pretty hard in the new patch with the collapse, and although it's being perceived as something "terrible," it kinda makes sense. So hear me out, the new endgame means the killer can force the survivors out or they die within 2 minutes. Simple. Pig, however, with her RBTs able to kill you as soon as you step a certain distance into the gate would mean you either risk being killed by the beartrap, the pig, or the entity, so it's a dangerous triple already at that, so pig would be basically OP if you played her well enough. So, this new nerf to the RBTs actually help to keep her from a constant endgame 4 man, so she stays balanced. If there is to be an equilibrium for the survivors and killers, then this new patch keeps it "perfectly balanced, as all things should be."
TL;DR: The pig nerf is reasonable.

I do some math for you.
Endgame collapse timer start after opening 1 gate.
Endgame collapse timer : 2~4 min
RBT timer: 2,5 min
Bloodwarden: 1 min
If the pig catch you after 1 min in the endgame, then the RBT will kill you before the entity can do it in the endgame.
Same thing with Blood Warden.
So the pig must catch in the endgame and the EGC timer must be end in 1 min.
Then you can still find the right key and escape.
But with ~50% you can die,too.
So the pig change is not logical, because the survivors should be punish,
if they stay too long in the endgame and get caught vs a endgame killer.
This "logical" pig changes destroy 1 playstyle and make all RBT in the endgame useless.
This is why I called your discusion bait.
Because this "logical" change is nerf for a low-mid tier killer.
And it force player for 1 basic playstyle, because they destroyed the endgame pig playstyle.
This is not good.
Conclusion:
If this "logical" change get life,
then enjoy nurse in every rank.
Because nerfing non-viable killers is just dumb.

Then not understanding amanda young. This is not another original killer where her traps aren't important. I can only say these changes would be reasonable on a different pig. Cause those who love saw franchise got ripped off with this change. Forcing a suicide for 1 survivor is a way to cheat her trap. She never played by the rules so to balance 1 fair game playstyle for a single survivor. Most pigs will manage 1 bear trap around endgame since not so hard to get off. The trap is only deadly when an exit gate opens. Just more incentive to not screw around and let trapped person take the hatch escape. Its outstanding when people think there no escape to pig trap in endgame. They just wanted a 4 survivor escape for pig. Instead of letting her be Amanda and get only 1 survivor.

Here's the thing: I think "The Pig needed to be changed for the EGC" and "The proposed Pig changes for the EGC are reasonable" are two different arguments, and what you are saying only really covers the first one.
I think it's more than possible to believe both that the Pig needed to be changed in light of the upcoming Endgame Collapse and that the proposed change is a bad one. I think a good change to the Pig would be one that keeps her from being problematic during the Endgame Collapse without making her weaker or one that gives her an appropriate buff as compensation for making her weaker during the Endgame Collapse. A bad change is one that just flat-out makes her weaker during the Endgame Collapse with nothing to make up for it. I believe this proposed change falls into the latter camp because it takes away a tool from a weak Killer (IMO) and cripples her in the one area where she was decent (the last leg of the trial where the Exit Gates were powered) while giving her nothing in return.

I mean that was the aim of this patch and previous patch with the introduction of MoM.
Make genrally crap killers worse. Legion and pig got annialated and the dev team is too frightend to buff the killer alongside the nerf.
Its never give and take when it comes to killers its always either a buff or a nerf. Maybe they think its ok now to nerf them both and buff them later but personally they should be looking at tweaking amandas dash or make her traps require two keys so rng dosent screw you on the first box.
Amanadas traps are weak and the developers should have coped further nerfing the traps would generate this outrage. If you gave us any form of buff there would be a silver lining but its just a straight up nerf no positives.
This entire patch is a disgrace hitting a large amount of weak killers and doing nothing to address the actual imbalanced killer and survivour issues. I can't deny the egc is impressive and cool while some nerfs seem reasonable i.e. Some of the legion changes and pigs overall rbt changes.

Amanda already needed a few buffs to get her where she needed to be. Then she got nerfed. Now she needs some strong buffs.

There was no endgame buff it was all bs its just an anti troll bandaid. This endgame collapse in now way helps killer in endgame.
