(probably) a solution for camping killers
I thought up a system in which killers camping has no point to exist:
if the killer, after having hooked a survivor, remains within a 15 - 20 meter radius for more than 10 - 15 seconds, the survivor's hook bar will stop decreasing. If the killer carries a survivor within a 15 - 20 meter radius, the bar will not decrease. If the killer is in a chase within a 15 - 20 meter radius, the hook bar of the hooked survivor will decrease more slower.
I I think it can be a great deterrent for camping killers

Camping doesn't require a solution, because it isn't a problem.

The radius idea again?
This has been tested a LONG time ago, and the Survivors abused the crap out of it.
It was immediately scrapped.

"Camping doesn't require a solution, because it isn't a problem."
True, DC and problem solved

Hey it's the same new revolutionary idea that is posted to this forum every week 😒

For the last god damn time if you put a proximity bar slow down on hooked players survivors will do gens and loop within that radius of a hooked person. Let me spell out how god awful your idea is. I as an swf team will do gens close to the hooked survivor. The killer will have to hunt somewhere else meaning surrender the gen + save or chase the person close by have the timer slow down progress so now the killer is losing chaser plus slowing the kill process. Another player can then be in position to save with bt which means you cant even punish the save and because you have the killer in the hook proximity the hook pressure is massively reduced. Congratulations your asine idea has jut lead to a strategy that breaks the game. Think about both sides before you put a half assed moronic idea up.

The only way I can see that idea working is if it didn't happen while survivors were in a much larger radius, but then killers could use it to scout out survivors unless they made the bar invisible

This is only the millionth time this exact same idea has been mentioned in the forums. It was also tested long ago but the survivors abused it so it was dropped.
We do not need to punish killers for camping. The solution is to fix the reason WHY killers are camping.
Camping isn't the disease, it's the symptom of the real problem which is game balance. Balance the game and camping will go way down.

OMG how many more survivors are gonna post this same ######### idea so they can abuse it again?
12 -
They tried it and it didn't work because Survivors abused it. The best counter-play to a camping Killer is to apply the pressure right back on them by getting gens done.

Just start bringing toolboxes if you play SWF. If I get found first I can run them for a few gens and if they camp me (which is fairly often 😂) the last 3 can easily get out, most of the time they haven't even been in a chase yet.
Killer will 1k and hardly any bloodpoints. I see this as a win for me.

This exact idea was tried out in a PTB and it was ABUSED BY SURVIVORS.
Stop suggesting the same ideas over and over again.
8 -
But how else will they someday get too abuse it again if they ca'nt convince the devs too try it again by reposting it again and again?

How about increasing the time that gens get done or discouraging blatant hook camping by survivors? The more this happens, the more tents get pitched to slow the game when you're not top tier killers.

Simple if the killer its camping all survivor get a buff of repair speed and thats it

How about a penalty for survivors for camping gens?
No one came up with that yet!

yeah lol

I never camp in all the time from after the hooked survivor dies right until I get to hook another survivor

Ye, idea is great, but if killer is out of this radius, time needed to kill survivor is decreased to 1 minute.

Ok then I will counter this change by having when a survivor is within range of a generator it can't be fixed.
See it makes no sense to punish a killer for being around their objective.
They are there to kill you, and in guessing you just made this post because you got camped out a few times.

ohey.
its yet anotherone of these.
cant ppl come up with a different idea?
maybe a rewarding system for not camping instead of yet another punishment?
gosh im getting tired of this idea... the answer is always the same, but there is always someone else coming up with it .-.

What about the idea that if the survivors repair a generator within the killer’s terror radius, the generator’s progress slows down or stops altogether. And then, quite insolent, repairing, right under the nose)

Guess all the people bitching about it being tried already forgot the OP might not know that.

The solution to camping is to rush gens, instead of all crouching near the hook like a bunch of idiots.
4 -
The solution is to put pressure back on the Killer by completing gens.

Why make it so that if the killer is in a chase the bar is slowed? Why not if the killer is in a chase near the person the bar continues as normal, this would prevent players from abusing the timer near the hooked person. Basically, if another survivor is NEAR the killer camping, the hooked person's bar continues as normal, otherwise it doesn't. This would force the killer to leave the person who's hooked, otherwise they can do gens while the hooked person's bar who's being camped does not progress. The killer would then have to look for the survivors doing gens, or he just gets screwed over big time. If something needs to happen about camping killers, the solution isn't to screw over killers completely if there are survivors nearby.

That's a solution for the other survivors, not for the one being camped. So the other survivors get to rush gens and stack up a bunch of blood points and escape but what about you, the one being camped? What do you get? Nothing. 6000 points if you're lucky and everybody else, including the killer, gets more blood points than you. Meanwhile it took you 10 minutes to find a game only to receive pennies.
The problem is as a survivor you are rewarded based on your individual performance, not on the team performance. So as a survivor if you get camped it sucks big time regardless if everyone else on the team wins.

Why should you get anything for failure?
4 -
So you're basically saying that you failed in your attempt to not get caught and still want to get rewarded. xd

Eh, I think the solution is to just teabag the hooked the survivor and throw a pebble at them then get downed by the killer for doing their job of being a wanker for them.
1 -
I mean, as most people said, survivors should just do gens instead of all sitting behind a rock next I the hook. Killers get less blood points and fun if they camp. Let them derank.
