A Perk To Buff

Member Posts: 13,616

If there was ONE Perk that makes you think:

"It's so useless/too situational, this one needs a buff the most."

Which Perk would that be?

And even though you're not the one in control of buffing it, how would you prefer they buff it?

You're not restricted to just editing the numbers, you can add and remove all kinds of things, as long as the concept of the Perk is the same.

And i know some of you will probably completely redesign a Perk, WHICH IS FINE, but then it might as well be a completely new Perk, y'know?

I know it's small, but thanks for not ignoring the "concept" rule on the very first comment. 😋

Just to make sure: If you chase someone down there and they unhook the only hooked one there just before you hit them, it'll do normal damage, correct?

That would have to be tested, but in principle, yes.

With the whole endgame thing, definitely Left Behind needs love. I'm thinking that when you're the last survivor you gain a movement speed buff and a gate opening buff

Sounds thousand times better than the current one, even if it was without the Exposed bonus.

You don't have to, but did you have any numbers in mind?

I'm secretly a fan of this Perk cause the concept is good for a lone wolf. 😋

    Pebble:

Hold active ability button to aim the pebble. you will see a blue arc which will tell you the trajectory of the pebble. Release to throw the pebble. Also increase the maximum range to 20/25/30m

Also reduce the charge time for 45s to 30s

    OR

Every 45s you gain a token, up to a max of 3/4/5 tokens. each token is a pebble, and throwing a pebble has a 10s CD

The idea is that the basement is the Monstrous Shrine, where one can be closest to the Entity, and the Entity would reward the killer for recognizing that. Exposed in the basement would just make sense.

Left behind, this new """buff""" feels more like a quality of life, it needs a full rework to meet the requirements of the new endgame, otherwise it will keep being garbage

I agree. doing generators as the last survivor is completely pointless due to the new end game.

The perk should give an adrenaline bonus without the heal of course, along with a 50% speed boost to all M1 actions.

Thrill of the hunt. I'd make it reveal survivor auras working on totems, as well as making it consume a token to bounce a hex to a different totem, regenerating a totem if all dull ones have been broken.

Iron maiden- Open locker 50% faster, survivors who leave a locker are exposed for 15/25/30 seconds and have their aura shown for 5 seconds.

Buff it so that it has a long cooldown, but you can activate it to hook someone and they teleport to the basement.

Mettle of man because it’s underrated.

    ”meaning, relax”

    Detective's Hunch.

Now works when ANY generator is completed and lasts for 5/7.5/10 seconds

    Dying Light:

You become Obsessed with one survivor. Whenever your Obsession is unhooked, every survivor with the exception of the Obsession will suffer a 30%/40%/50% repair speed decrease for 120 seconds. While the penalty is active, the Obsession's repair speed is increased by 50%. Hooking the Obsession while the penalty is activate will cause it to be removed.

    • The killer can only be Obsessed with one survivor at a time.

    Boil Over?

I dont want to only put a pic of a horse on killers screen

Ruin (and possibly other Hex perks): no lit totems, instead, cleansing dulls gradually decrease its effect.

Well, I'd actually prefer that Ruin was not totem based but that would cause a rebellion :)

Flip flop: directly you start 50% wiggle if you recover 95% the 75% will transfer to the wiggle bar

Lithe:same the current 1 but you can vault faster

Ds:since its an anti tunnel make it that you can use it alm the time until the cooldown goes off this make so killers will be lesss tunnelers

Head on: reduce the exhaustion make it 30s

The DS one stands out to me here, doesn't seem too much.

    Boil over

  • Member Posts: 1,253

Left Behind. It got 'buffed' but you cant repair generators in the End Game Collapse. I don't see the point in using it.

I'd like to see Legion's perks receive some buffs. They're all very situational and don't compete well with the other perks that Killers have in their arsenal (except for Discordance, that seems to be the only semi-good one, but it's still situational).

Maybe change Discordance to have the ability to increase more difficult skillchecks for those who repair together? While still keeping the same values it had originally.

Mad Grit is VERY situational, and I'm not too big on that. I'd like for it to increase the speed in which Killers can pick up a Survivor, similar to Fire It Up, while still managing to keep the struggle restrictions when hitting a Survivor. Maybe just increase the speed by 5/10/15%?

Iron Maiden is a tricky perk...It's great against Head On users and Dwights, but other than that, it doesn't get much usage besides on Huntress for quicker reloading. I'd like to get rid of the expose affect it is given, and replace it instead with a broken status affect for 3/5/7 seconds. This would cause players to try and not hide so often and make immersed Survivors want to stay away from lockers when going up against someone with it, while still managing to keep an upside for Killers for anyone who dares to touch their precious lockers. (Looking at you, Dwights.)

Deja vu is such a garbage perk. Just make it so you see the aura of generators all the time not just after a generator is completed. It will be a really good noob perk.

In my opinion, all of Tapp's teachables are too situational to consider playing them in real games. Tenacity is useless when the Killer doesn't slug you, Detective's Hunch when you don't do gens and Stake Out when the Killer has small TR or uses perks to reduce it. All of them could see some love, especially Detective's. Stake Out doesn't need that much of a buff, but I think increasing maximum token amount by 1 for each tier would be fair for this perk

@Nick oh yes, it's so annoying. I'd say it should give you 15/30/45% bonus for 1/2/3 dead mates. Tweak the numbers to balance, but in general, it's such a beautiful concept that gives you advantage for other survivors dying, great for a selfish playstyle.

    No One Left Behind

For the whole trial, gain 5/8/10% altruistic action speed. When the gates are powered, this bonus jumps to 50%.
