Closing hatch should NOT start EGC

I think that the hatch closing is ok starting the end game collapse. The only thing I do think is kind of lame is how exit gates can spawn right next to eachother. In these situation, it's almost imposible to escape as a solo survivor.

Completely agree, there is no solution for a solo player when the hatch is closed its so BS. High mobility killers can easily get you. I've had this scenario about 10 times already and I've been caught and eventually downed at the gate every time because there is literally nothing else I can do. The hatch and gens gave OPTIONS. When the killer knows you only have one option its easy to guard two exits

Why not, if survivors find it first, during a chase don't get the killer to that area, and jump in the hatch when available. If you don't find it, just go camp the exit gate and wait for the killer to close it, EZ counter play.

"EGC currently offers no counter play" - ok so not closing the hatch just like before the update and when there's a survivor sitting on it, killer can do nothing instead of waiting for that toxic survivor hold the game hostage.

    >the survivor should be at a major disadvantage.

Why? Because you want it so?

What if I play solo and the game gave me three potato teammates, why shouldn't I have a real last chance?

Right now, the only thing that can save the last survivor is the key. And I have a suggestion, one 🗝️ in one of the chests in every match.

And prolong the game unnecessary? EGC was added to prevent situations like hatch stand and boring searching. The first one that spot the hatch have the advantage now, how it always should have been.

And btw you already got the entire match to change your fate and not end having to open a gate with the EGC timer. Why you should get a 100% guaranteed separeted gates to give you even more chances of survival? And not let the RNG decide it?

I don't know how I feel about this. There are pros and cons to both sides for EGC starting after hatch close.

Totally correct but devs didt take that into considering when doing endgame. They once again favored one side over the other without balancing it out. Oh lets just do random spawns of gates and have the hatach spawn in middle then killer just has to stand there. its ridiculous and defeats the entire purpose of the game in and of itself. After release of endgame their player numbers overall dropped drastically and if they continue on this bad path with drop even more.

show me these player drop numbers

the entire purpose is to and i can't stress this enough to TRY TO SURVIVE the game is called dead by daylight not i hid in a locker while my whole team died so i got 5000 blood points

your team already failed to do the one and only objective for survivors which is to do the gens in a timely manner AND THEN you were given ANOTHER chance to survive by finding the hatch first but you failed that one too AND THEN you were given another chance by trying to open the exit gate which if you get the far gate spawn is practically a guaranteed escape even against the most mobile killers if you don't play like a potato... oh and all of this is moot if you have a key

It is possible to get out when the killer closes the hatch (I did it multiple times myself against different killers, even Billy/Nurse). It is difficult, yes, but when there are nearly no gens done the killer has basically won, I think that starting the EGC is OK. But maybe make the time for the exit gates in this case only (!) 15s (instead of 20) and let the gates sporn across the map.

    Or (more complicated) :

When the hatch closes, don't block the gens, make EGC timer 4min, (so the last survivor has to do something but has enough time for it). Every completed Gen removes 10s from the gate timer which is 30s. This would make Left Behind more valuable, because now it is completely useless for EGC

I see that you just like to have your easy fourth kill. But this game is made for fun. And where the fun when one of the sides has almost no chance? But I see that you like to play with a huge advantage, right nurse mainer?

I'm fine with being a free kill as long as it isn't dragged out. Just go to a hook and move on to the next game.

That sounds like a totally different game. Not much fun either. This was a game of run and hide before your killed, not try to be the first to open a gate. o.O

    I don't play Nurse.

If the killer kills 3 survivors and ends up in a 1v1, that was the result of the killer's actions. The survivors didn't just hand themselves over to the killer.

Easy would be forcing the killer to open the gate for you and letting you go, since you won't stop skulking around the map otherwise. It also happens to be this suggestion you seem to be supporting.

What I like is an asymmetrical game where the numbers role isn't being made stronger as more of its members die. I like an asymmetrical game where the power role is actually rewarded for wiping out the numbers role, instead of giving second, third, fourth, nth chances to the individual members of the numbers role so they can 1v1 the power role. But hey, I get it. Asymmetrical games aren't for everyone. Not everyone understands that 1v1, the power role is supposed to crush you.

One's again. This is a game.

The game which is people playing.

And not everyone understands but they playing it for Fun!

This is not some cybersport game with millions money prizes. So it should not be balanced as you think it would be fair, just because you want an easy last kill.

And btw, even having a key, you have to run like a headless chicken to find the hatch and hope for luck, because two minutes is not enough to comb through the entire map in search of a closed hatch. The most fun when the hatch spawns between two close to each other gates.

And of course, you use Nurse avatar just because it good looking🤡

    this is a game

and not everyone understands the killer is also playing for fun

so it should not be balanced as you think it would be fair , just because you want and easy escape after your team failed

2 minutes is more than enough time to run the entire map almost twice, and if you were in the terror radius when the hatch closed you have a pretty good idea where it is to use that key

While you will run through the map twice, you will be met by killer with activated Noed. How about trying before writing? I was in this situation, on Léry's Memorial Institute against Mayers, and found the hatch at the vary last moment, between gates... And I saw many survivors who had a key but Noed found them first. So what are you talking about easy escape? I just want to the last survivor to have a real chance, not this joke.
