Freddy's Mains that stuck around before his Rework should get a Reward
[Introduction]:
Hear me out, Freddy is in desperate need of a rework since he was launched out of the PTB (I hear he was good a few days out of it but don't quote me on that) so its no surprise that he finally will get one after 2 years of him being in the game.
But anyone who regularly uses him (like myself) know hes not easy to use on skilled survivors especially in red ranks. His base powers are horrible to use and the only viable solution is to use the add-ons we're presented with. Z block and Unicorn block make Freddy insanely scary to go up against, but these two add-ons are both Purple and Green meaning they don't show up as often on the blood web, so we're reduced to using just Unicorn block and Cat block.
None of his other add-ons are really useful to use since transition time helps tremendously and is suicide to play without.
(I'm aware there are way more issues Freddy faces above the rest of the M1 killers but these are a few off the top of my head)
[My reason behind a reward being given to P3-50 Freddys or anyone with the Freddy DLC]:
Now let me elaborate on this one cause this part of the conversation can be tricky to explain. People that stuck around with Freddy know about the issues I listed above and there are many more to discuss that I left out, but what i'm making this post today is to discuss something that I think is fair for anyone who stuck with Freddy for so long and put effort into even P3-50ing him.
For me I P3-50'd Freddy as one of the many killers on my list that i'm trying to P3-50. My goal is to have every killer on my list P3-50 before moving onto survivors, so he was my 5th since I liked his gimmick and play-style, he was a breath of fresh air like when I first played Myers in my earlier days.
What i'm trying to say is that people know these issues, and we know he's getting a rework. So I want to propose something that I think would be neat for anyone who has his DLC or people who put effort into him and stuck with him
(It would be easier to just have anyone who has his DLC to be rewarded this since its easier to manage rather than just a minority.)
[Getting to the Point]:
Anyone who has bought his DLC before their scheduled update of Freddy should be rewarded something for sticking around with him before his rework, think of it as something like with the old blood-webs from 2016 NOT to that much of a scale but something a long those lines.
And no i'm not asking for lEgACy FrEDdy!?!! i'm asking if something neat should be given to anyone who stuck around with him before this rework gets pushed out, I have no idea what it could be people could suggest it down below. A skin? Blood Points? I have no idea.
(Most likely not a skin since Freddy is a licensed character and it wouldn't really be possible to do something like that with him, these are just suggestions.)
[Conclusion]:
Think of it as something like "a pat on the back" for anyone who stuck around with him before this rework gets pushed out, this is just a suggestion so I don't expect it to even be considered but like most things its worth giving it a try.
[TL;DR]:
This isn't a demand for anything to be given after Freddy is reworked, but I thought about this as something similar to the old blood-web rework back in 2016 where players were rewarded with going through that mess.
Not on the same scale of course as that, but something around that regard, maybe reward people who had his DLC before the rework. What should the reward be? I have no idea, hes a licensed character so I don't expect a skin maybe BPs? I don't know, discuss it down below though.

I mean i doubt we will get anything but it would be nice but when you think about it behavior could simply say the rework is your gift so idk

Why is it that I thought that same exact thing while writing this up, (The rework is your gift) I thought that exact thing.
I thought about it for a bit and came to the conclusion that they didn't think that way for the Blood-Web rework, they could of simply said "The rework is your reward, enjoy." but no they decided to reward anyone who put up with it before it was reworked.
So for this same scenario I thought of it as the same way, but not to a massive scale like that one was.

Yeah we'll see i mean it would be nice to get atleast something for playing the worst killer in the game and putting up with a lot of bs that is freddy but at the same time i wouldnt get my hopes up but we'll see
1 -
Well of course i'm not here to change hearts and minds in an instant. I just thought of it as something like... a suggestion if you will.
Who knows, maybe a dev will see this and give their opinion on the matter.

Honestly I wouldn't mind getting something for being a Freddy main, especially since I'm going to have to completely re-learn him, so getting a little something for learning pre-rework Freddy would be wonderful, especially for the dozen or so of us that are dreading the rework.

Its a mixed bag to be fair, it could either be something amazing... Or worse than what we already have.
I feel they've had enough time to make it not become the 2nd option so i'm optimistic about it.

I don't think that would be a good idea just because would wan't for every change they make in the future then. Also it was your own decision to play Freddy the old bloodwebs had to be done to level up. If you liked Freddy you shouldn't get a free goodie just for playing him

First time i played freddy used an ultra rare thingy that allows you to play Freddy with 0 perks i actuelly got a 4K and 1 dc i remember it was actuelly really fun tbh

Yes I agree let's reward the tunnel mains.

I think a Propeller Cap would be a fine testament to the last 2 years of derp:

That's fair, but people who bought his DLC when he first came out when he was good should get something at least.
And its a different situation since Freddys been the same for literally 2 years... That's 2 years of people raging on him, people saying hes the worst killer. Like think about that.

Or a shirt that says "We're sorry" on it.

I want freddy with sunglasses as the reward
1 -
Exactly...
0 -
You get a handsome quentin as your reward.
0 -
Not even surgery can fix that face.
0 -
Paper bag head cosmetic it is!
0 -
Maybe just having no head would fix that altogether.

Rewarding enough.

I can only dream of a perfect reality.

Give them a complimentary 1 blood point
1 -
Yes please! I got my Freddy to P3 lvl50 last August, and I've mained him ever since, along with Wraith. If the rework completely changes him, I want some sort of cosmetic that says "I played this character before the huge rework".

I know why you think so but the amount of work them would be insane. I doubt they have a tool to check when a account bought a DLC, so everyone need to prove it with a screenshot they need to check manually. Also if the do this once they need to start doing it for every change they ever do to a DLC, because they can't satisfy everyone.
As much as I understand you and everyone else in this thread I just see too many drawbacks for Behaviour and so the game in the long turn

Well they could do it off of the old system when it came to the old Blood-Web.
When they were handing out Legacy skins they had a set system that checked who prestiged what character to what rank, that being l ll or lll.
Now if we take into account that DLC isn't a plausible solution THAN this one should be since the framework is still there from when they overhauled the Blood-Web. They could even set it to say (If you're Prestige lll you will receive this skin or set blood points) the possibility of that working is there, it just depends if they even do this which I doubt.

Complimentary 1/2 blood point.

I doubt that what they recorded for Legacy is similar in anyway to what information they would need for this. Also not everyone is prestiging characters. before we talked only about a general "reward". Checking on which level a character is and checking when you bought the DLC are really different. They could check if it is bought with auric cells from the store easily.
And as mentioned isn't that the real issue with that

Well that's why I said if the DLC one can't be done than the other suggested should be able to.
Who's to say they can or can't do it we can't really say for sure, we're not developers so how would we know. This is all speculation, so it could be a possibility or it could very well not be. But what I suggested is whats been done in the past VS the DLC suggestion which... hasn't.

You are not entitled to anything and the rework will more than likely make him worse.
2 -
I never said I was entitled to something, its a suggestion.
I guess entitled and suggestion are the same thing now?
1 -
Well, it's not that they forced you to play him. I played him with splinters, didn't like him and I didn't buy him and used the shrine to get his and Quentin's perks, it's really that simple.
If you played him it's natural to think that you kinda liked it, so why should you be rewarded for something you enjoyed?
1 -
I mean, that's a fair point.
But like I said, its a suggestion. I know most people DEMAND these things, but think of it as just a suggestion to reward people who wanted to go through that.
Like I said above though, its HIGHLY unlikely.

And I explained why both ways aren't that good to do for them, no assuming from my side at all. They never gave something for free just because they changed something. Legacy isn't a good example for that
0 -
Isn't that the definition of what i'm saying of "They never gave something for free just because they changed something."
Legacy was given for free? And this was from a massive overhaul to one of the core mechanics to this games progression system.
