Remove Mettle of Man

Perk is overpowered as hell for any killer that doesn't have a chainsaw. You want more Billys? This is how you get more Billys.

I wouldnt be against MoM and noed recieving nerfs. In noeds case remove the ms increase but retain the instadown. The difference in tiers can be number of living survivours affected. 2/3/4

MoM i have an idea to make you earn your health state. Make the survivour exposed after being healed and there aura reveals there position until a certain time elapse the survivour will be instadowned and lose mettle if they are downed but if you prove your mettle and hold out until the time elapses you get an extra health state that works against all downing hits.

@yeet I disagree with this the only op thing killers really have are a few add-ons and mori's none of which can be changed.

As Mom nerf, Hillbilly should have to hit 3 survs to be able to use the chainsaw, and only 1 time. Then, as killers says... adapt

Personally, I wouldn’t mind the perk so much if it didn’t reward terrible gameplay. You’ve already been hit how many times? So you then get a free hit for being so awful you’ve been hit several times to begin with. I’d even be ok with it if it were disabled once the gates are powered. Survivors have plenty of tools to make it out safe at endgame. They’d don’t need another one.

    Survivor perk changes:

    • Mettle of Man: We have changed the condition for getting stacks from being hit by a Killer's basic attack 3 times to perform a combination of safe unhooks and / or protection hits a total of 3 times to activate Mettle of Man's Endurance status effect. Survivors no longer have to be injured to receive Mettle of Man's Protection. This means that Mettle of Man will work similarly to Borrowed Time and will require more work from the Survivor to trigger Mettle of Man's Endurance status effect.

Removing comment asking for info on it in 3.0 PTB because this thread is childish and full of bias, should have expected it tbh. Ask for help and non biased information get downvotes, you’re all so constructive.

I just played against an Ash with predictably MoM equipped.

After MoM propped he healed up, he was the last one alive on map so I chased him down and hooked him for the 4k

    Big deal.

It's always funny being able to spot the obvious survivor mains simply by them whining about stuff that isn't OP. BBQ can be countered by distortion, closets, hiding behind gens, being within 40 m, and simply running one way for those 4 seconds and then running a completely different direction. But of course, "bBq Op". And then they complain about the 3 strong killers because it means they actually have to put in effort in order to win, and that's not fun for them.

They will never remove it because they nerfed ds. I am still trying to find ways to play around it but there are none. ;(

Why are people so butthurt about MoM? It's one extra hit. If that makes THAT much of a difference in your match, you've already lost.

Have you not played against old DS? It's actually worse than old DS. Old DS required everyone else to wiggle 2/3 of the way to use their DS. Everyone immediately gets a Mettle. Mettle is a free escape no different than DS.

Stop thinking about it in a vacuum. Yes, one extra can make the difference in a match against good survivors. The margin for error is that thin on low or mid tier killers like Trapper or Wraith. Also, there's usually more than one MoM in a trial nowadays. Even if you think one extra hit isn't a big deal, how about 2 or 3 extra hits? That can be the difference in a generator, which then brings Adrenaline and a free heal into the equation. The issue becomes multiplicative at that point, which is the major issue with MoM to begin with. It was designed, implemented, and continues to be discussed without context. People are still only talking about it in a one survivor per trial sense and completely ignoring synergy with other perks.

This DS MOM BT DH and medkit meta is way too toxic, there are only few killers left in my region. You should wait a LOT of time in a queue to play as a survivor because of this 'killer-can-do-nothing' meta. so I think changes should be made to those perks, at least one of them.
