At red/purple ranks is okay I think, I'm rank 5 as killer and I get ranks 4-7 every gane

Yes.
As a killer, at rank 8, I would constantly see rank 4,3, and 2 survivors. ONLY with a SWF would I see a survivor with a rank conversely lower than the norm. Like, I'm an 8, and getting 3s, that's 5 ranks higher, I never saw rank 13s on a regular basis.

Matchmaking is a failure since they disabled the new ones they have tested. The last one to date was disabled because of queues and rank disparity and, then we still see disparity with the old one. I won't talk about queues being unbearable as survivor for me.

That's not so bad - you need red/purple ranks sprinkled in there. Wish I was kidding. Happens to survivors a lot too. You might all be in the green ranks and a red rank killer is matched, which is stupid as well. How are players supposed to climb the ladder when being over matched unfairly? Red rank will probably safety pip but the other side gets de-pipped.

Rank means nothing in this game @hashnine depending on your "skill" you could get purple or red rank players that play like actual potatoes with legs.
Most of red rank has pretty bad players, they just know not to fall for horrible tactics that rank 20's do. But most of them kind of play like rank 20's sometimes.
The rank system is pretty bad in terms of displaying who's "skilled" and who's not. So you tend to get pretty bad players that're high up there mainly because its not hard to get one pip from survivor every match, you just do some basic things like rescue hooked people, do some generators, etc.
In your case I have no idea how you play, so I can't determine if that was a hard match for you or not. But trust me, what you experienced is just a normal thing that happens occasionally. I think it has something to do with how the matchmaking for this game works, and it picks people of any rank if that Survivor has been waiting too long for a lobby.
I don't know the full details but these are my two cents.

Rank means nothing because it is based off luck way more than skill.

before you complain about this, think about that killer waiting like 10 minutes+ to get a match... there are some cases where you get something like that , but because there are still killers that are waiting for a long time in the queue... i've got rank 2 nurses when me and my swf team were rank 13-15... all of us (3 or 4 )

rank means nothing because it's too easy to rank up, they listen too much to guys that complained about being hard to rank up... for rank up you have to grind a little , that means repair/save/be chasesd/survive (destroy, hook, chase, kill). most players not ranking because they are only chased, or they don't save ... and that's why ranks are nothing.. my oppinion

The Plague is not too good in stomping teams with the builds of those, you seemed to be low level, just change up your play style a little.

It could be considered normal. The game will start by trying to pair you with people in your area and around your rank. Over time if you are unable to find a lobby, it will progressively broaden the search and start accepting people from further ranks and regions.
Depending on when you're playing (if there's not a lot of people playing in your area at that time), you might get worse matches. This is because the game would rather give you some match rather than have you wait around all day for a slightly closer one.

Rank matters, imo. I am in the yellow ranks 2d month cuz of the bug with saving of progress. There are many new players, noobs, campers etc. And I really miss the purple ranks. When it was PTB 2.7.0, where this bug was not, I rank up from 14 to 7. Then the game brought me more pleasure in those 6 days.
