A Practice Mode for Chasing in Tutorials
While the current tutorial helps teach new players the basics of the game, I feel like new and old players could benefit greatly from a practice mode, mostly focused on chasing. This is arguably the most important aspect of the game and what separates good players from great players.
Ideally, players could choose whatever map, survivor or killer they want to play as/against, and their loadout. Another feasible option could be a small custom map with some common structures on it, like the current tutorial. Obviously, this would be a lot more limited compared to what you experience in an actual game since you can't really program AI to mind game. But players could at least practice the basics of how to run an L-wall, T-wall or the killer shack for example.
Both sides could benefit from this, but I think this would also be most helpful for console players who want to get better at more mechanically difficult killers like Huntress or Nurse. I feel everyone could be much better with these two if we could just focus on throwing hatchets and blinking without having to worry about gens getting done. Likewise, survivors can practice juking hatchets and blinks as well.
It's plausible the devs purposefully don't want this in the game because without a practice mode, all you can do to get better is keep playing. If so, that's completely fair.
I hope the community likes these ideas and that the developers will consider it.

I agree with you 100%, a friend of mine quit playing killer for a while cause he said he didn't have any of the good perks. I told him you need to learn the base mechanics of the game, finding chasing survivors etc. I know I can only speak for myself but alot of the content creators helped me out. I watched panda, tyde, and true for about two months before I bought the game on ps4. When i jumped into my first killer match it kinda felt like I had already been playing for a while.

I'm glad to see other people are liking these ideas! Hopefully more people see this and give their opinion on it. I'd be really curious to hear what some of the devs think too.
@Scgamecock86 I watch all of those guys too! They're all really good and they have their own playstyles. I try to learn something from each of them and improve my own gameplay.

This would be good, even if all the killer did was moved directly in your direction constantly it would give you a chance to learn loops under pressure, then practice mind games later

That sounds like a good idea. Some players on both sides give up on the chase too easily and just DC due to the frustration level they might have. A practice session to sharpen up on the basics of the chase would be a great addition to the tutorial.

In all honesty I'd love to be able to play in a custom lobby with just one or two survivors instead of forcing a full team. Have a friend help you practice as killer or survivor, learn all the maps, where gens and pallets tend to spawn, etc.
