Whiffing to success Question

Hey guys, was just wondering if activating dead hard (to make the killer’s swing miss obviously) and then going straight into a vault counts towards the ‘whiffing to success’ achievement?

That seems like it would be the easiest/quickest way to the achievement of it does count. Cheers 👍🏻
