What's the most wiggling that a wriggling wiggler can wiggle before wriggling and wiggling is wasted

On console I don't enjoy damaging my controller's analog stick in an effort to escape. How much movement on the stick is needed for maximum wiggling efficiency?

move it in a steady and consistent rhythm. On PC some people think you have to mash A and D as fast as possible. It makes no difference.

I've damaged about 3 controllers already because of the stupid wiggle mechanic. And I don't even wiggle back and forth, I do circular wiggles at a steady pace.

Wiggle free mechanic is almost always guaranteed to be a waste of effort because hooks are always, ALWAYS spaced too close together even if you've applied an offering to shorten the distance it'll never be enough for it to matter.

Even with Boil Over which doesn't actually shorten the distance or make the wiggle bar go faster it only makes your wiggle motion more dramatic so it's completely pointless.

And FlipFlop is dependent on being neglected on the ground by the Killer so the ONLY reason to wiggle is to stop the Killer putting you in the basement.
