Have you ever been blamed?

I just had a game where this person was on a hook and I tried to rescue them but me being stupid decided to try to save them while they were being camped but I failed. I ended up getting killed by the EGC.

Then I got a message saying “I had d strike and borrowed time u suk”

I replied ”how was I suppose you had DS?” But never got a response. Like ######### I’m not a mind reader.

Anyways send me stories as long as you want because basically I have nothing to do all school day due to my schedule.

My friend and I were blamed for not rescuing a guy who was hooked after the EGC had started. The killer had NOED, so we decided to leave instead of feeding.

Got removed form the Friends list of someone: guy (some competitive minded youngster from Romania) went back to troll Huntress a bit, got promptly downed, climbed under the pallet. There were only two of us left; I tried to help him up and then stun the Huntress to give the guy a few seconds to escape, but failed. There was indeed a bit of potatoness on my part, but I couldn't help laughing at how mad he was afterwards, when honestly the real mistake was by him... he could have just escaped instead of trying to pretend he's the lovechild of Ochido and Noob3 :)

Almost every time i play against an LF, there is the genius who thinks they gotta loop around the basement and teabag. You can guess what happens next. I get flamed for not saving them of course.

I actually had a friend that told me to save him in the basement while the killer has Leather Face. I was like “Okay, but he’s just going to come back and chainsaw us to death” aannnd then we died.

Playing against a Hillbilly, I'm injured and working on a gen next to the exit gate, and two guys get downed and put in the basement. I don't know what the fourth survivor, who's uninjured, is doing, but if someone's going to go for the rescue, it has to be him. Anyway, it turned out he was also working on a gen. Last gen pops, I'm still injured so I go to open the door, and then the other guy gets caught going to rescue the two in the basement. He brings the killer my way, the two in the basement are now so close to death I couldn't save them if I tried, and as soon as the third guy gets hooked, the Hillbilly chases me out the gate.

After the match, I got a message from one of the guys in the basement.

    Him: Coulda helped us

Me: I was injured. I thought the uninjured survivor was gonna go for it.

Him: No he needed gens so we told him to finish the gen then get us but the killer found him

Me: I couldn't possibly have known that. I was working on a gen, then I opened the exit gate. By the time I saw the other guy get hit, the two in the basement were down to a sliver of life.

Seriously, what is the correct response to, 'You should have saved us. Also, we told the other guy to finish the gen then get us.'?? Why was it cool for the uninjured guy to work on a gen but not the injured one? Plus, they messaged me after the fact even though they could see that I was working on a gen.

Considering the second guy was downed going to saving the first guy in the basement, and the Hillbilly didn't interrupt me or the other survivor while we were each working on different gens, that really suggests the killer was camping the basement and any attempt to save those survivors was a suicide mission, but maybe I'm overestimating Billy being able to check more than a single gen in a 30+ second timeframe.

I've also had a survivor message me after I escaped because I didn't rescue them off the hook when they had Adrenaline (how would I know that?), even though the killer was a Hillbilly with NOED on a wide-open corn map.

I was playing Dwight on one of the farm maps. The Killer was running Tier III Ruin, so rather than be unable to do gens, I went looking for the totem. Finally find it after two others have already died (I went for a few saves too, but the totem was my main goal), hiding in a corner by a blue barrel.

I die, Kate ends up escaping. Claims I didn't do anything the entire match.

I was thinking about something similar yesterday, it's a killer one because even though I've played survivor longer and got like 3 salty messages from teammates the killer ones tend to stick with me more. Anyway, it was back when I was a new killer (on one of the coldwind farm maps), even more so new to Mikey (I ran dying light as my best perks if that's any indication of how terrible/fresh I was)

I downed 2 survivors in quick succession as I caught them going for an unsafe unhook in front of me while I was chasing one of them after the last gen was done. The 3rd survivor got the person off the hook and the king had tenacity so he speed crawled out the open gate while I was hooking the other downed survivor, the rest ditched and she died.

That one that died then messaged me and, with the utmost salt, asked why I killed them when they had done a majority of the gens, unhooked people and opened the gate (basically how dare I kill them?). I asked them how I was meant to know they did all that and suggested maybe they should enquire with their "team" why they died. They didn't reply after that...

I just remembered a survivor one too, there was a min that was literally running everywhere when the killer was a hag and triggering all her traps. Not much to say she died first, I was using urban evasion at the time because it was a staple when I was moderately new and they messaged me basically saying "Is your entire controller just R2/Crouch kek" Even if it was about running closer to the hook then using urban for the last few seconds, isn't that the right thing to do against a hag??? She's the one that literally ran the second she was free and triggered everything...

@TragicSolitude I recently made a post about being a solo survivor and whether or not I should be selfish and worry about myself. There's been too many times where I've been let down by my teammates so now I'm starting to just worry about myself and only myself. If my teammates go down too fast or if I determine that they are not worth saving, f*** them, I'm going to get my points and (try) to escape. I'm tired of being nice and helping out randoms only to potentially die in the end.

You've did the right thing not saving them because if you did, you would have most likely died trying. Sometimes it's beneficial to think about your own self-preservation, especially if you're playing by yourself.

Sometimes I play selfishly, and sometimes I play altruistically. It depends on my mood and whether or not I have an objective that requires me to survive the match. Both times I mentioned in my post, I had an objective: I got the Adept Jeff achievement for the match with the two guys in the basement, and I escaped with a Vessel during the Lunar event in the NOED match.

Sometimes I get bored with just playing to survive, and I'll play super-altruistically and throw myself on the sword to get another survivor out. But yeah, in the two matches I mentioned, I'm pretty sure I made the right call.

    I had a game vs Hillbilly. 1st Feng, 2nd David, 3rd Feng & me

1st Feng after get taken down for the first time, disconnected.

    David get hooked in basement.

I got hooked outside near the basement, 3rd Feng secured me, but taken down by Billy.

He grabbed 3rd Feng to the hook, I tried to destroy the hook, he dropped 3rd Feng on the ground and chased me. I made a mistake that run into the dead end corner, he body blocked me & just wait there doing nothing. After about 3min or so 3rd Feng bleed out to dead, then he started to mori me.

Post game chat: Enjoy it? Enjoy take down that hook?

    Yikes, the bad stories :O

    Bad Story:

Talked about this already a couple of times, but basically I was Meg and was crouch walking to avoid the killer seeing me first chance, but then a Bill literally began running around me in circles, and whenever I tried to do gens, he would get on mine and blow it up. When I tried to throw a pallet on him, he would fast vault it again and again. Same thing with lockers. He kept on following me even with Sprint Burst and Using Corn of Rotten Fields. Tried to signal him away from me, but continued being the truly toxic brat he was/is. At least I got more points than him for using Adrenaline to get to Exit Gate. I assume the killer was friendly(?) since no one died and all that noise notification caused by Bill never got him to me, but then post game chat was something similar and like this:

Bill: Useless Meg, crouching all the time doing nothing.

Me: But you literally ruined my game for me. :(

Killer: Yeah, you were really useless

Other Survivors: You did no gens at all

Me: But that Bill prevented from doing anything?

    Killer: Worst Noob Player

    Bill: What a Useless Person

Me: But that Bill literally blew up every gen I did!

    *Killer Left Chat*

Went something like that, just more harsh and that Bill convinced the other survivors and the Killer that I was at fault for doing "Nothing" and being "Useless"

It was this incident that did led me to this forum though, and did report that guy. I hope that guy gets Perma ban or rots down there suffering from the face campers and Disconnecting Survivors.

Hopefully No one suffers from these truly toxic people ever again @.@

I've had a few. Mostly about not getting unhooked. Funny thing I would always get those when the killer camped.

Yep, Campers deserves Genrush. Just remembered I was on SWF with two others including sibling, and they left me on first hook all the way to the end. And funny part? The killer was literally on the other side of the map (Plague) and I had Kindred sooooo....

I dont remember which killer was, happened before EGC patch. It were 1st Kate, 2nd Clau, 3rd Clau & me Jack

All other 3 keep getting chased & downed, when I finally remove Hex ruin, Killer found me & started to chase me. Honestly Im not good at being chased, but I dont know how in that game, I think I being chased for solid ~90sec or so, without taking hit. In those 90sec, a hooked Clau is rescued & heal by 1st Kate and the other Clau.

After that Killer gave up on me and leave. I continued on the 4th gen, then soon later the 5th gen was finished, I ran to a gate and open it. Kate got 2nd hook. 2 Clau stood behind me. I pointed to Kate mean to tell 2 Clau to help Kate. They didnt go.

West gate is opened, I started to run to North gate near Kate and open it, 2 Clau followed me and continued to stand behind me. I abandoned the gate and ran to Kate to unhook her, but 5sec late, hook timer is out and Kate is dead, I ran back to the North gate and the gate didnt opened. I wonder why they didnt open the gate.

Since North gate didnt opened, 3 of us ran to the West gate, enough time for Killer to took down a Clau, it was her last hook.

Post game chat: dead Clau: noob Jack.

Killer camped Kate, but honestly 3 of us can tank a hit to each other, that would be more than enough to escort Kate to the North gate.

I wonder if you got the same player as me. I played a round using Dwight (first time I've tried him out) and it was down to me and a random player. The random was hooked on the other side of the map and I was hiding from Myers as he knew the vicinity of where I was and was preventing me from running. Hooked survivor dies and Myers closed the hatch. Me being thick went the wrong way to find a door and got caught in EGC, I laughed, thought no more of it. The random however messaged me (in Spanish), just one message after another (8 I think). I don't know Spanish so had to translate it all; needless to say, it was full of insults, such as "I'm a cancer on society' and 'I'm so slow my hands should be cut off'. There was something about my parents but I couldn't translate it all. I think they were even more salty because I wasn't responding to them initially. I eventually told them 'thanks for the spanish lesson. Grow up' (which I painstakingly translated via google) then reported and blocked them.

I mean, it's just a game! Why the need to get so salty?

They were indeed Spanish, but the only way to confirm would be to share names, which is against the rules.
