I am asking players who play this game a little bit longer. I cant belive people DCed since beginning on this kind of scale... I somehow cant belive that at least 1 or 2 people DCed in everymatch

@tomikomPL well, I've been playing since august 2017, and I can tell you for 100% certain that it's always been that way.

@tomikomPL This has always been a issue since the beginning of the game.
Anyone from 2016 to 2019 will say the same thing if you ask them this question "Is DCing a common occurrence in any of your matches?"
Everyone you ask: Yes.

An interesting question. DC's have been plaguing the game for a very long time. However, this most recent extreme DC epidemic I feel started around the time DS got its rework released I believe. Whichever patch number that was.

@tomikomPL To answer your question, the game was launched. DCs have been an issue since launch. Oh yes, I have been playing the game for a while. I started the day of PS4 launch in 2017.

DCes have gotten worse as of late aswell but not because of the players but a bug. Almost every other game i play i am disconnected from the game through no fault of my own. It will say the match has been cancelled because i have been disconnected from the host. I have seen this happen to other people aswell where the game just randomly boots you for no reason. Extremely frustrating for everyone.

I've played since the day it launched, and i can honestly say I don't remember DC's like the way they are now. I mostly remember black, infinite loading screens.

It's always been bad but I think the release of Legion really opened the flood gates for it.

Since 14/06/2016.

This matches my experience. Not only did people start DCing just to avoid having to play against Legion (it was broken with little to no counterplay originally), but around the same time there seemed to be a sharp increase in DCs during match loads.

When the game first came out, it was pretty much only killers that would intentionally disconnect which ended the game immediately in favor of the survivors so it wasn't that annoying. But as more of the craziest crap got removed (like that triple window infinite on that one autohaven map), disconnects were actually rare at one point. But as the game became a bit more balanced, survivors started rage quitting, but on a rather small scale when it first began.
But then there arose the popularity of a few select streamers who played that way and actively encouraged intentionally disconnecting when things didn't go your way. That's when it first became a problem. Then some started intentionally disconnecting not out of rage but to purposely derank and it became a bigger problem.
However, if you're wondering why it is as bad as it is today. That would be a result of how the same type of streamers reacted to the Legion release. They told their followers to intentionally disconnect purely upon seeing Legion and their followered did as they were told. Disconnects ran rampant. And then the worst possible thing happened. Instead of cracking down on intentional disconnects, the developers went and nerfed Legion without doing anything about the spike in disconnects which just wildly encouraged that behavior. So now even after the Legion nerf, we're stuck with the mass disconnect problem of the pre-rework Legion era. More survivors feel vindicated to disconnect whenever something doesn't go their way.
