Shouldn't Rancor work in the EGC (1 survivor left) too?
Recently I played with Rancor and closed the hatch when there were still 3 gens left. But when I wanted to mori my obsession, I couldn't. Is it intentional that Rancor does only work when "all gens are done"? Perks like noed/Adrenaline still work in this scenario. Is it because they activate when the exit gates are powered? I always thought that "all gens done" = "exit gates powered"... But now with EGC I don't know if it's intentional.
Does anybody know about this?

it is intentional because adrenaline and noed works with EGC so they had to purposefully program them differently, i assume they just didnt want rancor's tracking part triggering

Rancor seems like a drastically unfair advantage to the killer. You are essentially taking whomever is chosen, and handing them a death sentence without their last meal. I get to see the killer for 5 seconds? Big. Deal. Make it the survivors worth while for such a big advantage to the killer. Make them be able to always see the killers aura when they are exposed. Make the exposed timer finite or something. Nerf it somehow because its drastically unfair at the moment. To date, the only perk I have ever complained about.

I wouldn't say Rancor is broken currently but it WOULD be drastically unfair for the last survivor to get hit by it since they would have 0 chance of survival then. Same with why Bitter Murmur doesn't work.

It shouldn't. But I also don't feel Noed or Adrenaline should happen either.

The only situation this would affect is when 1 survivor is left, and the hatch is shut.
In that case it doesn't really matter at all if the killer can one hit down them or not, as they're INCREDIBLY unlikely to open an exit gate and escape in the time between hits 1 and 2. The killer has NOTHING left to do but chase you so they aren't going to stop and let you heal or open a gate or anything.
All this change would do is let you mori them for a bit more of a cinematic end.

Oh I don't think that effect should apply, there's a difference between the "when a gen is completed" effect and "permanently after the gates are powered" effect. A gen is not being completed, but you are in the end game.

The perk text is very explicit "Once all Generators are completed" in case of a hatch closed the gens stay incompleted.
NOED and Adrenaline state "Once the escape gates are powered" which do power when EGC starts after closing the hatch (I do believe both perks shouldnt activate after a hatch closing but its the way it is right now).

I don't think Rancor is unfair, because you see it coming. It comes only as a surprise if used by a Freddy.
It is only a problem if you are in a chase when the last gen is done, because you can't prepare.

@anarchy753 don't forget the tracking aspect of the perk

I was so sad I couldn't do it with Freddy yesterday. It would have been so cool.

I think it should work in EGC too. While it has a huge downside for the Survivor, they can at least see the Killer's position for 3 seconds so they can get a head start at the exit gates.

Yes, perfect, 10/10.🤗 If all gens go off sure, if they don't and it's close hatch activated then no, none of these should go off.

I would like it mostly for the consistency honestly.
