I think it's a non-issue, since you can just pop them open. I wouldn't say no to being able to kick to regress the way you can with gens, though.

I thought that at some point it used to work like this:
Each of the three lights was a point of progression: 25%, 50%, 75%.
If you stopped pulling the level before the next level was reached, the progress reset back to the last point of progression, e.g., if you stop at 85%, it resets to 75%, etc.,
I guess I was wrong though.

Open it yourself. Survivors are adapting.

Just open them yourself. The EGC isn’t supposed to be a killer buff, it's supposed to be an anti-griefing mechanic.

You can always open the gate yourself if you want to use it to your advantage. For example, if you have Blood Warden and the survivors are leaving the gates at 99%, you can always open a gate by yourself to force it to start. You actually have more control in that scenario than you used to.

Good survivors already 99% gates to play around bloodwarden before EGC was introduced. If you want to start the EGC just open the gate yourself.

Wait the killer can open the gates now? How do you do that? Do you just walk up to the switch panel and press a button and boom it opens?

See I think I've tried doing that and I didn't see a prompt or anything. Is there some special condition?

A survivor did this once to try to get a save and it ended up killing her. She would have made it if she didn't have to run over to tap the door.

If EGC will started after repair 5 generators it will hard fight between killer and survivors

EGC is there to prevent hatch standoffs and hostage situations.
It is not there for your convenience Killer.
99% the gates is a tactical option and not one without it's drawbacks. When in a chase for.your life that second you waste going for the lever and opening the gate can cost you the escape and a down.
If it's really a big deal for.you just open the gate yourself.
This is 100% a non-issue.
