Rebuild pallets?

Rebuild pallets! What do you think about it? During the game you can build or rebuild only one pallet for each of the survivors, but it takes a lot of time about 40 sec with toolbox. Also, some aisles and windows are boarded up and can be broken or rebuilt.

    Sabo as a concept certainly needs adjustment. I could see something like this as complementing it.

    Pallets are a limited resource for a reason. I don't think that could ever work as a balanced interaction.

    It'd be probably similar to Sabo, which has to be kept very weak otherwise it's unhealthy.

    I think this is in balance. 4 survivors will be able to build 4 pallets for the whole game. 4 pallets of equals 160 sec is the time for the repair of 2 generators, in this situation time is working for the killer. am i wrong?

    I don't think it'd be BS. I just think it would be similar to sabo, in which it's either not worth the survivors' time or OP.

    I don't think the concept is inherently bad, I'm just not sure if it would be worth doing.

    You are wrong, but not about the numbers.

    You're assuming that every player will rebuild a palette, which is an unhealthy design idea, while most players don't do anything that isn't going to push gens to completion. You'd be adding a time waster that if someone does it it hurts the survivors in the long run.

    Also killers don't have many ways to deal with palettes so the game treats them as important objects that need limitations. You've also not taken map layout into account as the ability to freely build a palette would mean that sections that should be unsafe can become safe. You could have people resetting double palette spawns, creating loops where they shouldn't be naturally due to how the map spawned.

    That breaks the majority of killers from being able to properly play through the game as it would be incredibly difficult to gain ground. You have to think around what exists in the game that could pose an issue.

    Do you build palettes with normal toolboxes or do you have to add an ultra rare toolbox? Toolboxes don't have 40s of charge by default so you need to use charge addons then do you make an addon so the box have a prompt to build or rebuild said palette? These are game design questions you have to have answers to for an idea of this scale.

    Sure, and killers can break generators that have already been repaired.

    if think deeper about it,

    - rebuilding pallets can be where they were broken.

    - very rare toolbox with description "Unlocks the rebuild action".

    I agree, 4 pallets of the shack is too much, the pallets of the shack cannot be restored for sure)

    What do you think about the windows? what If 10% (maybe more, maybe less) of all the windows are boarded up and can be broken by both the survivors and the killers, it can be restored again. Time to break them just like pallets, time to build more.

    Make this a perk like you can repair 3 pallets but it takes like 40 sec honest

    This would not really be able to balance.

    I mean, it will be either too strong or too weak. But even if you put like 40 seconds, which is a lot - just imagine you give back a really good Pallet to a competent Survivor. This will cost the Killer more than 40 seconds.

    Just imagine Jungle Gym into Cow Loop into Jungle Gym. 3 Survivors rebuild the Pallets at the same time, while one Survivor is looping the Killer. He will easily waste more than those 40 seconds. So it would be something where SWFs would benefit more than Solos, because as a Solo Survivor I cannot simply repair one Pallet for 40 seconds, without knowing if I or anyone else will ever come to this spot to use it.

    And sometimes, even one Pallet would be enough to waste over 40 seconds.

    So yeah, it must be incredible weak, basically pointless to rebuild Pallets, to be balanced, because it would need to be balanced to Top Tier Survivors.

    40 seconds for a survivor wasting their tim on a pallet if they go work on more pallets that even longer while you can go and chase a survivor and end dow the honestly wastes alot of survivers time assuming the killer is not a boosted and resepcts every pallet and never mind games tbh

    i do agree that the devs could make this idea if killers hooks can spawn again if you destroyed a hook why not a pallets xd

    That's a poor example of why to add it, that was a change for balance as once all hooks were destroyed the basement was the only hooks left and you needed iron grasp, and agitation to get there.

    want to rebuild pallets? make it so that the killer and survivor both corner at their normal speed. In other words, remove looping.

    TBH i feel a lot of people, killer and survivor alike, would appreciate that change. give the rebuild a modest time and it will both distract survivors from gen rushing, while also giving them something more proactive to do. and since survivors NeEd LoOpS it would replace one tactic with another.

    If you want sabo to be better I have a suggestion here:

    - Activates sabo action on hooks, Bear Traps and Lockers without a toolbox at 50 % of the normal sabotage speed.

    - Sabotaged hooks and traps stay sabotaged for an extra 40/50/60 seconds

    - Cleansing dull totems is 35 % faster

    - When a Killer opens a sabotaged locker the locker will break and stun the Killer for 3 seconds.

    - The locker remains unuseable

    finally they did it! it's not rebuilding but almost the same with perk "any means necessary" also some doors are brokenable!)
