Survivors getting nerfed again.
Is there a point to playing survivor? It's already a ######### show.
Comments
-
It's just making pallets mindgameable. It's fine.
29 -
What happened?
0 -
They're reducing safe loops and making more unsafe/mindgame loops.
And they're reducing infinite/long loop windows.
30 -
They are getting rid of longer 'safe' loops and replacing them with more mindgameable smaller loops.
So maps will end up having more loops by the end of next year. Not exatcly a survivor nerf. It's just they will all be mindgameable now.
This is a good thing. Especially for the low tier and non-chase killers who struggle with loops.
12 -
and if your actually a good survivor this could be a buff...
19 -
It's a good thing, There will be less safe loops but more loops overall.
12 -
@KaoMinerva they're making the massive loops turn into mindgameable loops to nerf it. Check out the stream.

Anything that makes killers stronger, I'm all for!
5 -
Survivor side is overpowered, if you're not aware of that you're simply not an experienced player.
15 -
They're making pallets unsafe and removing long loops. This is absolutely horrible because only bad killers let survivors escape at unsafe pallets.
2 -
Good
5 -
I wouldn't mind unsafer loops that can get mindgamed, but I guess most killer will just rely on bloodlust and don't even break the palettes then..
5 -
You're getting more loop locations, why are you complaining? Also just because being a survivor is a ######### show for you, doesn't mean it is for everybody else.
5 -
Baron is back?
Anyway, this is a buff. Not a nerf.
So the save loops get removed. BUT there will be more loops.
Of course, we need to see more, but it sounds solid.
4 -
Que the rank 20's shaking in fear. Soon killers will be in controll *EVIL LAUGH*
4 -
The point is that you now have to think instead of run in a loop and eventually drop the Pallet.
5 -
dude ######### its a horror game. They shouldnt be able to do anything but run
7 -
To me, it sounded like the devs would replace a low number of big safe loops with a high number of small safe loops. Not replace safe loops with unsafe loops.
But that's just my impression from the stream, I might be wrong.
6 -
@NoShinyPony The devs actually said that the smaller ones will be more mind gameable. "More skilled play" is what they said they were aiming for. I got confused there too XD
1 -
Sidegraded not nerfed. I'm for it
4 -
Quit your whining you forum troll and go git gud. I play both 50/50 and I'm excited for all these changes.
7 -
Sadly it's only for badham preschool.
0 -
Looping pallets has never been good for the game and it's a change likely for the better.
That being said, Survivor side has been hit very hard over the years with very little to show for it. While 4 man SWF at Rank 1 may still be OP, all the other ranks are getting very 4K heavy.
4 -
Survivors getting balanced again.*
6 -
@Ihatelife I think that was for the "Map Variations"
0 -
They're not getting nerfed they're shortening loop distances and this means the true survivors will now play at high ranks.
Sorry, you'll need more than long loops, windows , and SWF to survive now.
I welcome this challenge.
(Except against nurse and spirit, I'll probably get ass slapped by them lol)
5 -
Yo, all maps with infinite windows will be reworked in mid patch? 😲
3 -
As I understood it they are starting with Bedham. That's not the last map, just the first.
1 -
@Ihatelife Most likely
1 -
If all you could do was run nobody would ever play this game, that's basically a free 4k at that point and would make gameplay super stale for survivor, that being said super excited about all the changes coming!! I literally can't wait to go play when I get off work even if the changes aren't there yet @not_Queen @Patricia @Peanits and the rest of the dev team Thank you so much for caring about us as a community and keeping this game alive for many years to come!
4 -
@Ihatelife Not at all. There will be 2 map reworks in year 4. The first one is going to be Badham.
1 -
Which seems kinda slow...
I mean, they have a whole team dedicated only to maps.
0 -
@Tsulan The team also has to do 2 new maps per year.
But I totally get you. It would be nice if they could do something about the most unbalanced windows as well. I simply wouldn't count on it happening.
Badham has been announced. The most urgent map to fix is probably Haddonfield and I think it has good chances of getting chosen. But that would also mean no changes to a lot of other maps like the Disturbed Ward for the next year... arhhh...
1 -
They could speed thing a little bit up. I mean 3 months for a single map rework? 40 hours per week for 12 weeks? Thats awfully slow.
2 -
They said they're reworking 2 maps, which will change layout for how the map looks and plays, but all infinity vault loop windows are getting removed apparently. I'd say it's mildly dangerous because you won't have anywhere to hide should the game extent past a certain point but I guess we'll have to see how many money loops will be added to compensate it.

I just hope they rework totem spots, like whose idea was it to put totems in front of generators or totems in like obvious iconic buildings like Shack. Over 9000 IQ thinking process.
0 -
They're removing infinity loops in general and I hope they rework totem spots, like the ones next to open area with generator nearby or shack totem.

Also this is a big nerf for plague
She's already suffer with loop spot but they gave us even more loop?
0 -
Omg... the basement/garage loop! I hope they smash it!! Itll be so good if they do!
0 -
@Tsulan By "A whole team" you mean 3 people right? Because that is literally the number of map designers they said they had.
2 -
Less long loops, No more abusable windows sounds good to me.
More short loops and pallets which can be mind gamed also sound good.
I am a bit scepticle about the amount of pallets with the best way to combat pallets still being via certain perks, I also hope they have more LOS breakers for mind gaming at them for killer and I also prefer to try and lose the killer rather then play ring around the roses until downed when playing survivor.
0 -
Your point is?
0 -
For 3 people yeah, a map like that takes a long time to make and modify. That's not an unreasonable amount of time.
0 -
Honestly i never liked the long loops anyway, so i see this as more loops i actually like. I nice buff / QOL change if you ask me
0 -
For Full timers or Part timers?
I´m honestly asking here. Because the team that releases Skins seems to be much bigger.
Or at least they have a bigger priority. Same goes for the community team. Not_Queen said something about 30 people.
EDIT: cause i don´t want to spam posts...
So just that you understand what i mean. We are talking about Map reworks. Not new maps. That rework shouldn´t take that much time. I mean, all the assets are already there. They don´t have to create them from scratch. Just move those assests and test if its an improvement.
Seems like an awful lot of time.

Even if this is true survivors will still have more loops overall, so even if you don't get a large X amount at pallet A you can use both B and C without "wasting" your overall pallet count.
0 -
This is fine, it's the correct direction to take the game. Loops need to be nerfed so that they can revalance the game around play that doesn't involve 5 minute chases.
0 -
Finally nothing worse then having 2 infineats next to each other a bunch of swf who all abuse it and swap 1 person out to heal and do gens repeatedly and using body blocking to lock u in is gonna be gine
