Perk that increase Map pressure for slower killer? i think it's time for a new meta
There are some killers like huntress wich imho could be just under nurse tier if they didn't lack map pressure, especially with the bigger maps we are getting.. they are becoming less effective.. so i tought about a perk wich increase map pressure, without influencing that much faster movement speed killer.
So i tought about a balanced perk, wich almost every m1 killer could benefit and become meta, so many killer could replace it with the inconsistent ruin instead.
Name: Hurry up
You get 1,5% speed bonus every generator is a completed, if all generators are completed, you lose all your stacks. Doesn't apply if a survivor is inside your terror radius.
So re-edited again, since the conflict with whispers and forgot about the chase exploit legion learned to all us and the numbers were too high, so a new idea

That kind of speed would be noticeable and they've made it clear they don't want to give any whispers like knowledge without whispers itself. Might be more viable if the speed applied outside of chases, but I think those numbers are a bit too high for it either way.

@Dehitay Yeah i tought about whispers problem, for this reason i gave a smaller range for this perk, but in some way works just like whispers.. that's a problem. Outside the chase you would still get too close to a survivor, so would be far overpowered.

I'll re edit

So, you want Hillbilly 12% faster? This is a balance perk?
2 -
@prayer_survivor only outside the case, but it wouldn't matter since billy moves with his chainsaw through map at 230% speed, so 242% wouldn't be a big deal.. This perk would be meta for killers like myers, huntress, trapper, clown.. in the original post, i made it work outside the 24 metres range from a survivor, for slow down before even starting a chase, but if the devs won't give killers any whispers perk like, i had to change it.. i don't know maybe, for some balance things inside the range of 16 metres from a survivors the perk could deactivate without giving information like whispers, it would be fair if it wasn't a way too big buff for nurse, huntress and spirit..

Another problem is that is way too easy right now to getting out of a chase, so killers will reach you quickly... for this i tought we needed some range where the perk doens't activate, but again the problem is the conflict with whispers.

How about we give survivors a 12% move speed perk. You like that?
3 -
Maybe...? Great for some killers, maybe OP for others.

Actually, the better solution to this particular problem would be to fix the broken as hell chase mechanics. But if Legion didn't make them fix it, I doubt anything will.
3 -
The solution to the problem shouldn't be a perk.
If you make a perk to help for map pressure for killers that lack it, killers that already have good map pressure will be able to slot it giving them more map pressure.
Making a perk to fix a problem is a band aid fix, the problem should be dealt with at the source aka the killers themself

@Dragonredking @Sairek Well they tried to solve some problems, implementing spirit fury against loops, so i tought about a perk who could increase map pressure. But you're right, i agree we can't implement perks to ignore some bad map design or weak powers..
@Mochan i know it could be op, because of the stupid chase mechanic, for this i tought to deactive the perk while in a certain range from a survivor, but again there is a conflict with whispers..

Remember Legion moonwalk to avoid the timer going down? Picture that but on every killer now to catch up in a chase

This perk + crouch tunnel pig...

I think it could work like this:
Bloodrush:
The thrill of finding your prey gets you blood pumping.
You start the match with 4 tokens.
When there are no survivors within your terror radius and you are outside a chase, you receive a 0.5%/1%/1.5% speed boost per token for a maximum of 2%/4%/6% additional movement speed.
For every survivor in your terror radius while not in chase, you temporarily lose a token. The token will be regained after the survivor leaves your radius.
When in chase, the perk is deactivated.
Every time you sacrifice or kill a survivor, you permanently lose a token.

2% would be fine, 3% is too strong.
But yeah, a very good perk design.

This.

There are some problems with this suggestion:
First, the kind of speed boost suggested would help but not by much, the Wraith is a good example of that. Killers with good map pressure are those with more than 50% speed boosts.
Second, it would allow to get into the "chase zone" faster, giving less time to survivors to react and giving an advantage (especially against inexperienced survivors who don't can't recognize and stick to safe zones).
Essentially it would be more useful to get the first hit than to have map mobility/pressure.

the perk doesn't change anything. now the fast killer's are even faster. Spirit being 115+ will make her near perfect.

I think is time to git gud. When u lose dont come here in the forum for crying, u are not supposed to 4k everygame. Watch yourself in mirror, and get better.
Cya, a random killer main.

I'm fine with this since survivors have BT, DS, MoM, Adrenaline, and a bevy of other ridiculous perks while killers get nothing even really comporable, most of thier expose perks are not as easy to get or activate as the survivor perks, as most of them require the survivor to do nothing to activate.

Moonwalking breaks this perk, and any perk that can be used to increase map pressure for slower killers can also be used for faster killers.

@xChrisx you dude shouldn't even deserve an answer. I'm just suggesting something to put more low tier killers into balance, i have no issues with the current gameplay balance but MoM, if i pick up viable killers
@Orion I now but how much nurse or billy could benefit from that? maybe wraith.. i'm recently learning huntress wich is very good, it's so unfortunate that she has no map pressure.
@StarMoral that's also a good idea
@Mat_Sella @White_Owl yeah some killers like spirit would probably get buffed too much, the idea behind this perk was resolve the viability for all the killers, putting so more trapper, wraith etc. in a higher tier, they did with spirit fury, it was a perk but also a buff for all lower tier killers.. i think the perk need some adjustement, but somehow, has potential to be balanced and meta at the same time

By moonwalking during a chase.

@Orionyeah the perk should eventually works like legion mending now.
Another idea would be try to balancing an eventual perk
Hurry up
You get 1,5% speed bonus every generator is a completed, if all generators are completed, you lose all your stacks. Doesn't apply if a survivor is inside your terror radius.
monitor and abuse + this would change the current meta.
I guess it's hard to balance things without making them unuseful or completely op, the recent perks are a demostration.

I personally think one of Ghost Face's new perks could turn out to be meta, don't remember the name but it's the one that blocks Gens that aren't being worked on.
Now think about this, if no one is working on Gens when you down someone then ALL GENS get blocked for 16 seconds. Technically that's map pressure because the those Survivors can't do their objective and are basically running around doing nothing for 16 seconds giving you time to spread the love.
If we get more perks like this then that's serious map pressure. Also Corrupt Intervention on the new Freddy with his teleportation ability sounds like it could be incredibly powerful. Both of these perks are Gen blocking perks and if Survivors can't do Gens they're trapped in the game with you with nothing to do but running around like headless chickens.
