Guess Freddy's Add-ons
So the rework will effect all of his add-ons and even though we don't have numbers I thought it would be cool to see what everyone thinks he'll get or would like to see.
Me personally I think one of his Ultra's or a Very Rare will hopefully stop the husk and blood from appearing when Freddy teleports to a Gen. I know the Devs specifically said that power is meant to be used in chases and for map pressure but we play the way we want to play and his ability would be SUPER hardcore if he didn't have that handicap of everyone knowing he's coming.
So what about you guys? Any type of add-ons you're hoping he'll get? Most add-ons will be typical percentage changers for his ability but all Killers get extra add-ons for extra effects and that's what this thread is about. And really the sky is the limit because tbh who would ever have guessed that Myers would have an instaKILL ability when he was released?

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 I know it's hard man, we're all hurting, I was listening to a podcast about the rework and all the streamers were laughing at everyone who said Freddy was good. We're a minority and with the rework we'll be irrelevant because suddenly he'll have more fans but they won't be true fans, not like us. We're the true fans and followers and we have to stick together, I'm not leaving Freddy because he'll be different and I will miss him dearly, it's really hard.
When the rework comes we'll be the ones criticizing him the hardest, we'll just have to get used to him. I know for a fact I'm going full sadist when he comes out, I want those Survivors screaming.

Legions add ons where completely left out of the re-work leaving most of his top tier add on's completely useless.
I really hope they don't do the same to Freddy.

The difference is that, with Legion, they just tweaked numbers. Freddy, on the other hand, got a complete overhaul. Looking at this add-ons, there are only 3 add-ons (the ones that decrease skillcheck chances) that could work with his new self. Maybe the block add-ons as well, instead of affecting dream transition they affect passive sleep times (in that sense, they are the same). But all his ultra rares, all his very rares and most of his more common add-ons will require and entire mechanic change.
My guess is that, if their intent is to keep the spirit of certain add-ons, Pill Bottle will modify his invisibility/glimpses. Like, you are still invisible from the range at which Survivors would normally see glimpses of you. For Dream Snares, if they end up adding it as an add-on instead of base, it will definitely be an ultra rare.
If Generator Teleportation has a range, Im guessing the drawings or movement speed after pulling someone to sleep will increase the range of it. Or if it doesnt have range limitations, then a decreased CD for it.

Lol same I'm actually working on a killer that has the tracking Freddy had but more balanced. more effective just harder to achieve (because it actually takes striking a survivor) ill be posting him when I'm done just look for "the tracker"

@TrueKn1ghtmar3 Oh cool that sounds awesome, I was actually thinking they should make another Killer that has Freddy's tracking abilities because it's badass.

Yea I'll keep working on him jus need to come up with two perks and a backstory (thinking huntsman or bountyhunter..)

I think some of them will stay the same... like the dream transitions, just greater numbers... and the skill check ones.
I'm hoping a few of the crappy brown add ons get reworked and become more powerful, like what happened with The Wraith.
I've been dumping most of my points into him hoping that will be the case.
He'll probably get ones to increase the teleport range... maybe one where people can't see him appear as he gets closer, or the range gets smaller.
Should be interesting.

I had the same impression that one of his ultra rares will remove the blood and husk from teleporting. unfortunately the devs like to butcher every ultra rare with over the top downsides, so I'm expecting it to also increase the cooldown as well as make the channel time much, much longer. This would essentially ruin its strength and turn it into an addon for the memes.

The thing that hurts me the most about this rework is that it's a sign of the gamestate, as it were. There's no room for unique gameplay or killers who have powers that don't help in the chase, because the chase is all there is. Generators finish too fast to dally, and survivors have too many advantages in the chase over m1 killers. The only things that matter in the current gamestate are pressuring gens and downing survivors, which leaves all killers who can't do either of those things to the wayside, no matter how unique their style of gameplay should be (Doctor, Freddy, new Legion). It's just what the game has become and not everyone is going to be pleased about it, and especially not the killers.

Honestly, as much as I don't want the rework to come, as much as I hate the fact that they sacrificed his rather unique gameplan for stalling with hit and run for a boring trap killer, I know it's coming. Might as well throw out what some new addons might be.
If they make Dream Pallets/Dream Snares a case of only one and the other can be obtained via addon I wouldn't be surprised to see more Dream Power addons.
100% They'll have to have ways to reduce Dream Transition, 60 seconds is far too long to be of any use.
I imagine he'll have an addon to remove some of the new desks. Hopefully they'll also reduce
I have little doubt that he'll have some addons to reduce the cooldown on his Generator TP.
