"Fixed an issue causing grass to move when a player was above/below the area"
Another change which is making the game even more flat. Yeah I know, it wasn't intended to be like that. But guess what, it added some kind of depth into the game by accident. People with game knowledge were rewarded for knowing this and doing the correct thing.
Killer with knowledge could punish a basement plundered, a survivor with knowledge were safe by just standing still.
I don't get all these changes rn. Do we really want an absolute flat game? The game is already low skill.

Why the ######### are you complaining about a bug fix?
Is this really how low we've stooped? It was useful, but it NEVER should have been in the game in the first place.
A flat game? Are you going off of the same logic that combos in Street Fighter were bugs but were cool so they kept it? Cause if that's your logic, that's dumb as hell.

I'm coming from games where bugs were creating some awesome depth and balance just by accident. For example dark souls. This gave dark souls such a high skill cap. The devs haven't changed it and the community was thankful for that.
And yeah, combos back then wasn't intended. But guess what, it created insane depth into the fighting scene is one of the games with very high skillcap.
Casuals obviously doesn't understand this, I'm not surprised that u don't get it. But if interested I can link you an interesting video about that topic.

I know it's not a primary concern, but I recently went to visit my mom. Went down to her basement to get some gardening tools for her, and, just out of scientific curiosity, I asked her to keep an eye on the grass growing on top of the spot, to see if it was moving.
It was not. She assured me, she double checked and it definitely wasn't.

Please, come back when you have participated in actual fighting game tournaments and not just a game like Dark Souls that can be rendered easy af once you are properly geared to full, or ring a bell and have your buddy carry you. Using glitches and exploits in Dark Souls to win makes you a scrub.
You're the same dude that is complaining about losing his fast vault from a standstill or close to the wall. Obviously you know nothing of "depth" because that change actually forces the survivor to not camp windows, forcing your gameplay to have more depth.
You're just someone that is upset they are losing things that give them an unfair advantage in certain situations. It isn't about depth at all.

U have 0 clue about dark souls 1 pvp. I played in several tournaments in dark souls back then when it was still alive. U probably can't even name some "glitches" techs from dark souls who turned out be adding a lot of depth into the game becoming fair, part of the pvp and bad counterplay.
And if you think "gear" is everything what matter than I challenge you. I will beat you up with a low level character and u can bring what ever u want. I will still lick your ass. But people like you would never accept that, to much fear to lose.

I'm glad it's fixed - it was kinda amateurish it stayed as long as it did to be honest.

I mean, this change does make the game more flat.
It was a cool bug that allowed for more strategic gameplay.
God, can you stop bashing anyone with an opinion?

"Strategic gameplay"
More like "bug that disadvantaged players and gave knowledge to the opponent when they shouldn't have said knowledge."
9 -
As survivor u could avoid that, stop moving. Simple.

It was for both sides of Killer and Survivor. Killers would know when someone was above or below, and vice versa.
I found it to be a welcoming bug, let's say. I didn't see anything wrong with it to begin with, and being honest I thought it was intentional all these years.

@HavelmomDaS1 There is a difference between having a bug that makes sense (combo attacks in DS1) and one that makes zero sense (this stupid bug).
Also abusing a bug isn't being "strategic" its exploiting.
5 -
It's a bug and didn't make sense so it's good that it's patched out
5 -
Exactly. Whether or not devs choose to keep a bug as a feature or not is up to the dev. This is clearly an unintended bug that never should have happened. Therefore an exploit.
Not every bug enhances gameplay. Some are dumb and should never exist. I never understood the whole, every single bug enhances the gameplay mentality. This isn't Street Fighter 2 or Dark Souls lol

How does it make sense that grass is moving when someone is walking in the basement? Oh that's right, it doesn't.
3 -
I like that it's fixed.
You're not supposed to know what's going on there from outside.
Whether you find that flat or not is irrelevant, it's knowledge you're not supposed to own at the time.

Explain how backstab escaping makes sense in DS1

This is a BUG FIX.
If we are going to make this stay at it is than we should not change the windows :)
