How to Fix Ghostface Easily (and make him more fun to play)
Instead of getting taken out of stalk when they see you, make the exposed status meter slowly go down when they're looking at you, giving you a chance to keep some "evil within" stalking progress and get to cover. Then, while in a chase, make it so the survivor completely pauses the "evil within" progress while looking at the killer during a chase, but when the survivor looks forward to see where they're going (such as scouting for windows and pallets), the "evil within" progress slowly goes up. This way it forces survivors to be looking at the killer during a chase and the more they look away, the more his "evil within" progresses until finally Ghostface reaches his exposed status (also the exposed status should last a minimum of 30-40 seconds). If the survivor breaks the chase, your "evil within" progress completely resets for that survivor. This is a rough draft, but I think it would make stalking more rewarding since you would gain "evil within" faster, and chases could be ended quickly if the survivor isn't watching you while running.
So basically to reiterate, you gain "evil within" faster when not in a chase, but when a survivor looks at you, your progress slowly dwindles away. When in a chase, "evil within" automatically progresses towards the exposed status when survivors are looking away from you, but when they are looking at you during a chase, the progress pauses. If survivors break a chase, you lose all the "evil within" progress you had on said survivor.
EDIT: Also I think stalk exposed should be 40 seconds and chase exposed should be 20.
Oh and for evil within to progress during a chase, the survivor must be in the killers line of site while looking forward, that way survivors can still look forward but only if they aren't directly in the killers vision. so when you go around a corner and he hasn't turned the corner yet, the killer wont gain evil within if youre looking forward allowing you to still look for windows and pallets, just in a smaller window of time.
What are your thoughts?

Please reply people of the fog, I think this would be amazing if implemented and fun for survivor AND killer. It would be a very unique killer with a whole new playstyle to the game.

How to fix Ghostface:
Play Myers

Also maybe the stalk exposed would be a 40 second exposed but the chase exposed would only be 20.

This would also encourage and force newer players to attempt to look behind them more!!!!

I'm not sure what you're saying, but I think it's like my idea, where Ghostface would be a proper stalker. Instead of him losing his ability, the stalk for the survivor looking at him would rapidly dwindle while in stalk, so if you're spotted you can chose to pull back and try a new angle, or cancel the stalk ability (stopping the evil from being lost, but giving back your terror radius) and rush at the survivor.

I'm suggesting two ways for the killer to get the exposed status on a survivor. One which would be acquired by stalking a survivor, where the exposed status lasts 40 seconds. The other, during a chase which would only last 20 seconds. Both being implemented together, not one or the other.
The stalking one would require the killer to stalk and fill the evil within meter tremendously fast, but it goes down when a survivor is looking at him so he must find cover and try again from another angle, go to a different unknowing survivor, or decide to chase and have a regular M1 killer chase. This exposed status will last 40 seconds.
The chasing one would work as follows:
The killer slowly gains "evil within" progress by chasing a survivor automatically if the survivor is looking away from the killer while running. If the survivor is looking at the killer while running, the "evil within" meter pauses entirely, but does not decrease. If the survivor breaks the line of site from the killer, but is still in a chase, they are allowed to look forward without the killer gaining any "evil within" progress. If the survivor breaks the chase, the killers "evil within" progress will reset back to 0 for that particular survivor. This exposed status will only last 20 seconds.
Does this make more sense? @AetherBytes

Maybe not reduce it to 0, since turning a corner, even with ghostface behind you, would instantly break LoS, but I get what you mean.

breaking a chase, meaning the chase music stops reduces it to 0.
turning a corner only allows you to look forward without him gaining "evil within"

breaking LoS doesn't end a chase..

I misread your post, sorry. I thought you meant it was enough to break LoS, not end chase.

Whatcha think overall, now that you understand it? @AetherBytes
you are the only person who has given any feedback so I'd like to know your thoughts?

I still prefer he'd just lose stalk instead of his entire ability, meaning the killer makes the choice to back off and try a new angle (stalk scary) or rush the survivor (rush scary).

during the stalk he doesnt lose his entire ability if someone sees him, it just slowly decreases the longer they see him.
it only disappears completely if theyre in a chase and break chase @AetherBytes

Also remove the global sound indication when he goes into stalk mode

oh for sure, the sound needs to be completely silent other than him walking through grass and shrubs, i dont even think he should have breathing like michael or the pig
