Legion add-on rework Idea

Legions update brought a lot of good. Overall they are a better killer and not as low tier as they once were. With that praise I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the laziness of the devs in terms of the add-ons. With the power change you are punished for hitting a survivor as you experienced a painfully long 4 second stun along with that survivor getting an additional speed boost. A dev even told us not to hit twice as advice. Yet, add-ons like Franks mixtape and Stab-wound study were allowed to stay mostly the same. Although Franks mixtape does decrease the deep wound timer it does not down. Which is utterly useless. The update brought many good things to legions kit. Counterplay, speed, first hit. With that said, deep wound is just an excuse to not let feral frenzy down you. Mending is too short to count it as a serious time waster. Deep wound is guaranteed to not down anyone and wont waste any useful amount of time. Because of this, not only do these two purple add-ons punish you for using them, but they also do nothing beneficial. Neither one of these will increase the chances of a survivor bleeding out, no matter how many times you hit them. This is because Deep wound was literally nerfed into the ground. Legion did NOT die, deep wound did. So here are some ways these add-ons could become useful.

Fuming mixtape: Dark beats, violent shreds and unfathomable vocals from another world fill the mind with a vibrating rage.

  • Tremendously increases the speed while in feral frenzy
  • Slightly reduces the Feral Frenzy's duration
  • Moderately increases the cool-down duration of Feral Frenzy.

"WE. ARE. EVERYWHERE." - The Legion

This would make this the speed of old legion. Unfortunately this would either increase the stun or decrease the time you could run. So the player would have to decide if they wanted to counter the stun or the run time nerf with other add-ons. They could not use both. If this seems OP remember that old Legion went SO fast that it was easy to get the average legion to miss at LEAST once. Obviously this wont always be the case. The way fuming mixtape is now makes absolutely no sense. Wraith stays invisible for long periods of time for map control. Legion runs to get a first hit or to link his power and rarely uses his power for purely getting around. This add-on was probably a last minute lazy decision or the devs couldn't think of anything else. But there is no excuse for this add-on and the other 3 listed to have stayed the same through the rework. That's just lazy.

Frank's Mixtape: Never go on a kill mission without your tunes. A track list of massive distortions and loud percussion that stabs at your eardrums.

  • Considerably increases the Feral Frenzy's Pallet vault speed.
  • Slightly increases the Feral Frenzy's Window vault speed.

"Nothing will stand in our way." - The Legion

This would make it old vault speed. I feel like this could be paired with Fuming mixtape to sorta get a feel of old legions feral frenzy. This add-on would be a nice nostalgia paired with Fuming. But I can also see it being used with other add-ons! Which is what I'm trying to do with these add-ons. I don't want them to be pair reliant. I want these to be usable outside of builds again.

Stab-Wound-Study: A printed medical article stolen from Ormond's public library, vulgarising a study on lesions and stab wounds. A study that Frank insists the legion carefully memorize.

  • Mending No longer pauses the deep wound timer.
  • The deep wound timer ticks down Slightly Faster

This add-on would still be unlikely to down anyone but I think Legion could still use the pressure.

The three button add-ons should be a one hit. It shouldn't require two hits to apply the status affect that just doesn't make sense. The add-on bio is also very misleading.

Well that concludes how I'd like to improve the legions add-ons. This is from a legion main thats been with this edgy boi from the start. With those improvements I think the legion could genuinely be a high tier killer. The Fuming mix tape has always been a joke and purple add-ons shouldn't punish the killer for using them. I really hope this gets put into consideration because a killer shouldn't have a bunch of unusable add-ons

I can see what you mean, nobody uses Fuming mixtape, Frank's is actually worthless, and deep wound study is a joke. I think you had some good ideas specifically with the mixtapes (but if they decreased the time you had in frenzy with the Fuming mixtape it would be pretty bad just because of the new terror radius people get a headstart to split up) but for the deep wound study I think the least it could do is let you see the timer, more specifically when it pauses. Since the timer pauses when mending the quicker drain means pretty much nothing. I don't need to beat around the Bush, Legion atm is at most C tier and I got up to rank 3 with him using no addons or offerings, at those ranks your power means nothing and you will be gen rushed to a 1-2k consistently, these changes wouldn't make him op at all unless you're playing against baboons who don't know how to loop let alone make distance from eachother.

Right. I don't think this would be OP at all. I don't any reason why these add-ons wouldn't have been changed.

I like the ideas. Specific, too. Using Fuming Mixtape would require a counter-balance of using a very rare add-on to keep the cooldown at 4 seconds (honestly why so long lmao) which stops it from being OP in my eyes; stab-wounds study, idk? I don't think it should be able to down you if you're mending when it drops down to 0, although I do agree it needs a use and relating it to the DW status is a great idea.

I don't use any addon's on Legion any more so that when they do fix their totally garbage addons that affect bleed out timer I'll be god level legion XD
