Mettle of Man Rework

Original:

After getting hit 3 times by a Killer's basic attack, Mettle of Man activates.

Once activated, the next occasion that would put you into the Dying State from the Injured State is ignored.

The next time you heal back to full health, your Aura will be revealed to the Killer when you are farther than 12/14/16 meters from the Killer.

Mettle of Man will deactivate the next time you are put into the Dying State.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.


Rework Idea:


After getting hit 4 times by a Killer's basic attack, Mettle of Man activates.

Once activated, the next occasion that would put you into the Dying State from the Injured State will put you into the Deep Wound status effect for 10 seconds (Note: timer for Deep Wounds no longer regresses while in the Killer's Terror Radius).

Your Aura will be revealed to the Killer when you are farther than 12/14/16 meters from the Killer. (Regardless of whether you are fully healed OR injured)

Mettle of Man will deactivate the next time you are put into the Dying State.

Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.



So, the main differences are:

from 3 ---> 4 hits

from damage ignored ---> Deep Wound status effect

from Aura revealed while healthy ---> Aura revealed regardless of health state


It's still gunna be powerful, but this will help


Alternate idea:

Keep Mettle of Man how it is now, but make it if the survivor ends up being hit and the damage is ignored, they become Broken for the rest of the trial

    If it's not 3 protection hits, then 6 is the only acceptable amount of hits. These survivors need to work for their crutch.

    Yea. It'd still be as annoying with the 4 hits + dw. Since dw stops in chase it's still an easy get away, unless the killer decides to waste more time on them. Don't really know what to think about second, just know there'd probably be more complaints.

    the perk is literally pushing me to quit. Its FAR worse than the old DS. They need to formulate a new idea and rework it completely. its unbelievable that a perk like this is in the game. Its a perk that shits on you for playing fair too... (as killer)
