My Opinion on The Legion.

So... I never ever EVER thought I'd say this one sentence in my entire time playing this game but: The Legion is now my new favorite Killer.

Pre-rework Legion was by far the worst decision I thought the devs ever made. He made all chases straightforward and skill-less, and even with that he was still low mid-tier.

Looking at him now, he has a fairly great use: using the Deep Wounds status effect to slow the game down. He has great build potential, with perks like Thanatophobia, Hex: The Third Seal, and other hit-based perks that would otherwise be mediocre on any other killer.

His ability to control survivor's health states is only on par with killers like The Plague, keeping everyone injured at once.

He also has one thing going for him which is great: he pips like a #########. This relates back to one of my previous posts about why I think the emblem system should be changed. In that post, It talk about how Hillbilly's chaser emblem essentially gets cut in half due to his instadown potential. With Legion, its almost the polar opposite. Good games will almost guarantee an Iridescent Chaser emblem. His Malicious is also through the roof due to his hit-and-run playstyle.

Legion's fast-paced playstyle is very, very fun for me. Might I add, his edgy "teen gone bad" aesthetic is one of the best the devs have ever pulled off. I love his design so much. His concept is great too, with there being multiple killers to choose from in one killer. Its so unique compared to every other killer.

One last thing. His theme is. #########. Amazing.

This right here ^. I unironically listen to this out of DBD. A first in my 3 years of playing this game.

Overall, Legion went from my least favorite killer to my most favorite. Is he the best? Hell no. He's mid-tier at best. Is he fun? Very.

@Shad03 I did in fact give Legion's first Feral Frenzy a try for a while. While I do agree it was fun to an extent, there was no real mind game potential. Though, in my opinion I would like the ability to get downs with FF. I really do like his new playstyle, it gives him a purpose of slowing the game down.

@almondbutter If you could down with Feral Frenzy then you have to nerf the speed of his normal movement. Lose Lose as people will claim Legion is toxic again.

The mind game potential now is the same as before, only this time Legion plays much like a Trapper who can occasionally run fast. I still play Legion, but given my history with the old Legion I feel cheated in a way.

@Shad03 Eh, I feel he's in a really great spot atm. His control of survivors health states and pressure through Deep Wounds is enough to completely make him better than your average 4.6m/s killer.

    @almondbutter

Don't get me wrong, I know the spot they are in is better now for the health of the game.

However, I've been with Legion since they first dropped on Live Servers, and let me tell you I had fun with being able to freely control how I used my power. Now that was taken away from me and everyone else.

Anyways, I'm happy you enjoy them now. Don't let me bring you down, as that isn't my intention. Have a good day :D

Legion had all of those things going for him, before the "update". If you were already playing him the way he's played now which most Legion mains were you didn't gain anything other than 115%ms. Outside of that you just lost everything addon wise and have to play with a character who was already not very effective to begin at an even weaker state.

I dislike his 4 second stun and the slow vault speed but I will say that his detection ranges with Frenzy is OP when it comes to injuring everyone, wasting their time and getting intel to where to find your enemy, I recommend Save the Best for Legion, that is an S tier for him/her in my book. He used to be my favorite but I am waiting for him to get a small buff and for his vault speed to be fixed. Anyone will recommend the Spirit Fury and Enduring Combo on him, I use Bamboozle for him all the time.

    your right but :

    • 1s its not even easy catch 3-4 people with ur turtle speed ff / assuming you play with good surv but you play legion so i guess you already cant be high rank / but anyway from the moment survivors see 1 person have dw on them they wont play together / they will just spread on a map . so doing that you will get only 1 dw and you will probably commit since you will see hitting 1 survivor on ff there is no one nearby / your just now a m1 killer who can be looped all day . so dw doesnt matter survivor is basiaclly just injured so yeah cool and all but whats the point if plague can easily do that on all survivors and if they dont cleanse they are injured all game .
    • you say survivors cant power through . well no but actually yes , assuming there is for some reason 3/4 survivors in same place and you somehow catch them all with ff / they dont need to mend ur 32 tr or even 38 with monitor abuse since you chase 1 out / there is no reason to mend . they should make gen and then mend together so it will be even fast . and the survivor you chase can buy enough time
    • also its not even that good 3 gen legion because if surv dont mend them self because dw is a joke and isnt a threat they can simply outplay you if they are all on 2-3 diffrent gens
    • not to mention thease all is so boring . imagine maining legion now i mean i guess i respect that because i got bored playing legion after 5 games which is weird because i dont get bored playing trapper or other m1 killers since i dont play nurse or billy

oh forgot also about addons . imagine having almost all addons useless

Oh,yes,on rank 20-15 they are amazing. Start getting into purple /red ranks and you'll see.

    Legion needs buffs,the end.

I've played Legion in red ranks. I'm currently playing him in high purple ranks right now. I think he's perfectly fine the way he is.

I main Legion but I started playing after the nerf so I have never experienced how they were before. FF is underwhelming for me, I sometimes only use it 2 or 3 times a match because it's so easily countered, a pallet, or a locker (jump in a locker, if Legion ends FF to get you out you have 4 sceonds of fatigue to get away, more than enough). If I had Thanataphobia I would Frenzy more but that's not unlocked yet.

I like the chases Legion gets into all the time and it's fun when someone forgets to mend and they fall over a minute two later.

I love Legion's look and story so I persist with them. My other Killer is Trapper so I seem to like mid-power Killers.

As I mentioned, I like Legion's look and story and I enjoy the chases, it's just FF that's not appealing to me.

I play legion at rank 3 I know everything about frenzy in and out and while it's okay to like legion how he is now. Frenzy is NOTHING compared to what it used to be NOTHING. I like playing legion now and I find him to be effective but nothing compares to the sheer speed and ferocity of the old frenzy. being able to vault windows and pallets like they weren't even there. and the freedom of his addons. the sheer quantity of good addons was astounding speed builds, duration builds, cooldown builds, and mend builds. now all you got is duration builds that's it.

    Addons definitely need a rework.

Legion is power is just an applicable Borrowed Time, as soon as a survivor is in the Deep Wounds they'll do either two things : work on a generator or start mending. There's no threat in Deep Wounds, it is just a lame excuse to buff Borrowed Time.

Plus after you hit a survivor in Frenzy, so what? Like literally, your only options are options, either you try to reach other survivors(which you'll rarely do) or you try to chase them as powerless M1 killer that gives them a 4 second head start.

The most Legion mains I have read (and also including me) are not happy with the patch because of the strength of the Legion.

We are unhappy about the patch, because he has taken the fun out.

I know that the Legion had to struggle before the patch - without purple addons + (then it was a real threat), but the Legion had make so much fun pre patch that you have not care for kills.

You have care for the chase. For the thrill to running wild stabbing behind someone.

I have often let survivors go by my own free will, because I was so happy with the match just because of the chase. That had sometimes end in funny scenes, how that I have carry them to the gates or so... :).

Its a pity that some new Legions will never know how it was before as a Legion and as a result also will never learn to know that feeling :(.

omg I know right! I'm having SO much fun on Legion now that dare I say it I'm practically a Killer main.

By the way it's cool to use both Filthy and Nasty blade add on's together now right? I used it for the first time since the nerf dropped and I downed 4 people at range due to bleed out timer

I know what old Legion played like. I played him for quite a bit back then, and I hated it. It was unhealthy for the game. It took everything you learned as a killer and threw it out the window. You don't need to learn how to counter loops, pallets, track, mindgame, none of that. His power did it all for you, and even then he wasn't even that good.

New Legion has a clear purpose of slowing the game down and controlling health states. The general tactic I use is FF when everyone is healthy and M1 them when they're injured. I've used this tactic at high ranks and it proved some great results. And if they heal, use FF again. FF is a great way to keep everyone injured. Its not cheap anymore because you have to learn normal killer's playstyle to down them.

You can grab a survivor out of a locker in FF you know? @shalo

Speaking of which, how does a pallet counter FF? He can jump over them?

he vaults so slow you can actually loop him in certain areas.

I thought I couldn't because the 2.7.0 patch notes say "Fixed an issue that made it possible for The Legion to search a locker while in Feral Frenzy. " I'll try next time I play.

You're right, I can open lockers in FF, what happens when you pull someone out?

@shalo Your Frenzy ends but it's like the Nurse interrupting someone with her Blink.

I don't know if you loose your meter though.
