    It got nerfed to prevent holding the game hostage.

    Lots of complaints about killer blocking it for EGC in particular. Hostage situations were bannable, blocking basement for timers to expire were not.

    The devs put in a countermeasure to prevent the Killer from bodyblocking Survivors in the basement. Specifically in the basement, when Killers and Survivors collide, the hitboxes shrink to allow either to pass by each other so the Killer can't stand in the middle and trap them until time runs out.

    Theoretically it is still possible to bodyblock a little bit if the Killer moves right and left and stays in the Survivors' way the entire time, but it's not optimal. It's better to just smack them, get the points, and take the loss because they're gonna get out either way.
