DS doesn't fully counter hardcore-tunneling
Idk if bug, bad designed or intended... But u can use your DS if you got immediately downed after unhooking and picked up immediately. Because the killer can spam spacebar to hook you again and you can't use your DS.
The DS should trigger half a second earlier, this should fix it.

This is an extremely niche scenario.
If when he is standing right in front of the hook, the time for the person that saved you to move and him to pick you up is enough time to crawl just enough to get it off in time for it to work. This is also assuming he just completely ignored the unhooker and didn't even hit them at all which is also very rare.
I've only ever had this happen to me once and that was before I ever knew it could happen so I didn't try to leave the hook. Now that I know better this has never happened since and I always run DS.

Knowing this doesn't change the bug lol. The killer picks you up and your DS can't be used. No rocketscience. In case you tried to justify this.

What's your point? This bug only happens in certain scenarios so don't fix it?

Ikr, he confused me. Whats his point lol

It's too niche to be on the radar of the Devs. There are bigger issues at the moment, and honestly if you're being tunneled that hard, you did something to deserve it. Or your teammates are stupid enough to farm you.

Spoken as a true tunneling Killer main. Half a second earlier wouldn't be an immense amount of work for the devs for a perk to do the one purpose it has,

So, it's my mistake if DS, also known as ANTI-TUNNEL-PERK doesn't work in a scenario when I get tunneled? Seriously, are you mental? This is ridiculous.

Do you know what it is that fully counters hard tunneling? Not getting caught. You have to try that out

This topic is very good at revealing incredibly biased mains, @HavelmomDaS1 😂

I noticed that the killer can move for a very short split second before DS stuns the killer. Out of fear that my DS would be wasted if the killer picks me up in front of a hook, I try to go down away from hooks.
However, I agree, it should happen more early to prevent this from happening.

If you fix this DS bug, then I think as soon as another Survivor gets hooked, DS goes away.
1 -
Low priority because it can be avoided, but should still be fixed eventually
1 -
This isn't hardcore tunneling, this is survivors unhooking in the worst possible situation and expecting no consequences.
3 -
While I agree, it does result in the survivor who DIDN'T have a say in the matter getting punished. It's not a case of a survivor getting punished for their own mistakes

Indeed, which is why hook farming needs to have in-game consequences like being Broken or downed, not just point deductions or whatever.

Yep noticed that aswell, it's insane

Weren't killers like you always complaining about survivors doing 5 gen runs on them back then? So what do you want? Survivors having all the pallets and vacuum back doing 5 gen runs on you + escaping or do you want a balanced game with perks like DS punishing "bad behaviour"?
I really hate this "don't get caught" mentality of killer mains but as soon as they get dominated and couldn't caught a survivor they come here crying.

Everyone tries that, but unhook i-frames don't work in the way to move far away from the hook before getting downed against nearby

Getting caught once shouldn't deny you the ability to play that round entirely

At EndGame, you most likely will be eating 1 or 2 DS's if you hook everyone with the gate open. It's unavoidable. Can't even stop them from crawling to a gate most of the time because of the 60 second timer. It should be 30 seconds after gates are open but that's just me. Vacuum and 30 pallets wasn't balanced to begin with. Nothing greater than a free escape with DS at end game by unhooking with BT after just getting unhooked and MOM on top of it and then getting to crawl out of the gate because of DS. Easy wins are best wins.

If a survivor is dedicating that many perks towards endgame plays, they went most of the game not using their perks and still got to endgame. Yeah it's hard to deal with but not impossible. Slug before EGC, put pressure on gates, or hook father away from gates. Slug someone, forcr the others out, THEN pick them up and hook them.

I'm not justifying a bug because it isn't a bug. The hook animation just takes precedence. There was also already a discussion made about this as well where Peanits said that it is a very small intended counter play.

My point is that it isn't a bug, the devs know about it and it was intended.
