Why is it that killer can still hit you after you already vaulted and took three steps?
Has this happened to someone else?, it seems to me that is very unreasonable that after i vaulted and took some steps, the killer can still so easily hit me. What's the point of vaulting if it doesn't save you?

It's not meant to save you, but making a distance between you and the killer. It's intentional that killer can hit you through the window.

I understand that through the window after you just vaulted is ok, but after you already even took some steps doesn't seem that fair to me. I don't know, i was just wondering if other playing think the same way

Bad ping?

Jumm, I don't think is ping, or i would notice other strange things happening on other aspects of the game i guess. But tks for the comment I'll keep an eye on my ping and stuff, just to double check

Than maybe lag?

It's latency. On the Killer's end, you're right in front of him. This is an inherent problem with the game being P2P.
These things shouldn't happen anymore when we finally get dedicated servers.

Ohh that makes sense. Yeah is unfair that if the killer is lagging, it affects the survivor. Can't wait for the dedicated servers and see if there is a difference

Always double check the ping of the Killer you connect to. Anything above 60ms is going to have noticeable delay.

Will keep an eye on that, tks

I think it’s also hit boxes I’ve jumped out of windows on second story’s and I get hit when I’m in mid air between the window and ground

Yep, this has happened to me too

Litterly Everytime I go down it’s this way. Very frustrating.

@moonlunn That is something else though - I’ve made a post about this previously. Apparently, your character hitbox stays on the top window until you’ve reached the ground. It doesn’t really travel between point A and B, and thus it seems as if you’ve been hit when you were out of reach. At least that’s what I was told.

Ping, lag, and latency are all the same thing. It's the time it takes for the information to travel from one computer or server to another computer or server. It has nothing to do with connection quality or speed, it's not "the killer's ping", it is an unavoidable fact of internet connections brought about by the laws of physics.
