Plague tweak?
I believe that the Plague is an aesthetically exceptional killer, the bearer of an ancient and depraved ritual solemnity, and I like to face her. I love the idea that the killer uses the survivor as a means of empowerment, it reminds me of the Alien cycle, which lays eggs that cannot hatch and give life to new Aliens without a (mostly) human host; however many complain that she is a weak killer, since her power is in the hands of the survivors, who may, by refusing to use the fountains, deny her corruption. There is a very simple way to force survivors to heal themselves, namely Tanatophobia, which is even more effective on the Plague than on Legion: 16% is a substantial debuff. Those who believe that this is not enough expose their reasons and suggest balanced changes to make the Plague fairly stronger.

15% repair speed debuff while fully infected/broken and 1 random fountain will become corrupted every minute.

I think the first buff would be great. However your second idea with the first one would be way too much, pretty sure of that. She'd constantly be able to have corrupt purge, which would be too strong.

@DudeDelicious In fact I don't think the Plague is weak: just be smart, run that perk and you'll have the power in your own hands.

This shouldn't even be in the equation. This is a perk slot and assuming ALL of them stay injured all game.

I said since she was released that the sickness not being spread if the survivor isn't broken is a joke. It's a simple buff which would be good for her and makes perfect sense.
I just hate survivors saving each other from the hook or doing gens together and not getting sick because the sick survivor isn't broken.

@Peanits sorry for bothering you man but I just wanted to ask is there a reason why she is designed like this because I personally find it really frustrating when I play as her.
Just so you don't need to read my last comment I said I think survivors should always spread sickness no matter if they are broken or not.

SIckness doesn't need to spread more but her sickness needs to be stronger. Most survivors don't cleanse against her (most survivors stay injured anyway because they know how to juke) so the plague is basically just a normal m1 killer. Survivors have to have a better reason to cleanse. Random fountains every minute would also help but I prefer a proper fix.
Also, if you never get to use corrupt purge you barely get any deviousness points. 200 deviousness for a hit is a joke.

I respect the effort you put into this game, but can you please, I'm literally resorting to begging now, please give broken/fully infected survivors a 10% repair speed penalty? You can change it to 5% later if it's too much or something, but please give it a chance, you'll never know until you try it out. Therefore, get out of your comfort zone and go crazy my dude! :)

I think that making the puke a percent-chance per second (Say, 5%) and have puking interrupt actions (Like stop healing, stop generator repair, and automatically miss skillchecks) for 3-5 seconds would be the best way of forcing survivors to go and cleanse.

Thanks @Janick it's my biggest issue with her right now. I like running thanatraphobia on her at the minute, survivors are starting to cleanse now because of it.
I just don't like being forced to break someone before downing them. After playing over 100 games with her and getting her P3 this is the main change I want to see. It wouldn't be a massive buff but it would make a big difference to her for me at least.
I've been in games where survivors don't cleanse at all and I destroy them. She also can see where survivors are because of the constant crying and the sick being on objects they touched. I find her good as long as ruin isn't destroyed instantly.

I only agree with the speed debuff.
But why should the killer get rewarded by getting FREE corrupted fountains?
I know plague needs some small buff, but this isn't the way to go

Am I the only one who enjoys having all the survivors broken for the entirety of a match if they adopt this method? Honestly, a killer that makes every survivor only take one hit to go down for the duration of the match after using her power a certain amount is OP as hell when you think about it. Myers needs a pink addon and a ton of time to accomplish this.

Well hypothetically let's say she got a 15% repair debuff while fully infected/broken. Do you think she would then be rank 1 viable? I would say no.
What else would you give her instead?

Actually, a more interesting mechanic would be that survivors get hindered after interacting with infected objects, with the slow time scaling with your sickness (max 3 second slow maybe?) the % would probably be 10 or 15%.
The only other thing we would do would make it have to be infected at the START of the action, that way plague is rewarded for the alternative uses of her power besides hitting Survivors directly (infect the pallet and window, loop the survivor, win)

Now this idea I like!
Some incentive to infect the objects at a loop first when they run to it and it actually gives her some anti-loop to her power. Great idea!
Now would this be along with the hypothetical gen repair speed slow if they chose to stay fully infected/broken or instead of?

Yes, you have to use a perkslot for a certain killer, thats how dbd works. And if they dont stay injured all game you get GOD MODE puke, lmao.

@Blueberry probably not? They are compatible changes that don't interact with each other. So if it were up to me I would pick one, try it out and then have the other be on standby if we need it.
For example if we add the MS addon and she starts 4king at red ranks like it's nobodies business then we don't need any gen speed decrease. But if she's struggling then having both is an option.
Plus there are a lot of numbers involved here, and thus a lot of smaller changes that could be made for tweaking.

The only one's still using SWF as an excuse are the ones who can't adapt. Jesus, even ANGRYPUG shits all over SWFs. Stop acting like every SWF is this coordinated god tier team. 90% of them are just shootin' the ######### with their friends. Your entire narrative is exaggerated. Yes, there are god tier SWF teams. They ######### all over killers. There's also god tier killers shitting all over ANY and EVERY team.
How about once you're sick, eventually, you're forced to cleanse. Like, if you don't cleanse within say..60 seconds, you go into dying state?

I think the Plague suffers from a similar problem to the Trapper's, which is the fountain/trap spawn. Often they are in remote corners of the map and sometimes they are all grouped up leaving an area of the map empty. This makes the use of fountains a huge time investment for the killer, sometimes even a hindrance, and can lead to corrupt purges waste.
I also think that fountains shouldn't heal but only remove sickness and the broken status, because currently it's frustrating when you spend time injuring survivors but a few seconds later they're all healed. Sure you have fountains, but they are unreliable because of the spawn problem, and this imo removes a lot the pressure the killer can give since they can't force survivor to waste time healing (thus forcing them away from gens).

The only killer he plays is basement bubba and it's not at high ranks. He's a great player but the majority of all his games are survivor, not killer.

That first point is a very important one that most people don't mention. The cost she has to actually go out of her way to pick up the fountain is actually quite high and wastes a lot of time that she already doesn't have.

I would care about other killers but Nurse and Billy exist.
There is no reason to play anyone else.

That's the whole point of making other killers viable. Nurse and Billy are mostly what you see at high ranks and it sucks to have to play a select few killers all the time to do good against good survivors. If they made more killers at least decent at high ranks, we wouldn't have this problem as much
