Totems spawn ridiculous
For the love of God fix these fking totems spawn every fking match I have had totem spawn right next to survivors or right next to gen or right out in open. WHY haven't you'd address this yet . I feel like I can't take 2 steps away from my totem with some survivor eyeing it behind bush

Totem spawns do suck and hex totems as a whole need fixing but you know full well you run that risk when you run those perks. It's feast or famine with Ruin, that's how it always has been.

Ruin is literally the most meta perk in the game.
It has the highest percentage of uses simply because killers need it to slow the game down.
"Oh, but you can play without Ruin".
Yeah, and that will make your game far harder. Killers don't just "choose" to run ruin. It's the meta.

You choose it. It's meta but you absolutely do choose to use it and subject yourself to that kind of RNG. I already agreed that totems need fixing but that doesn't change the fact you're gambling with Ruin

It's kind of like if Exhaustion perks had a 50% chance of working when they were supposed too.

Except it's not because exhaustion perks were never built around risk/reward anyway. That's not a good comparison.

You might wanna try bloodwarden or discordance instead, ruin dies too quickly and as survivor I often spawn really close to it.

Devs are working on it, it's a work in progress.
If you want better totem spawns then you will also need new tiles in many maps, which we might wait a long time depending on the map
Unless they keep adding tiles to some maps along with the map reworks, which is likely

You mean, as if there is something that blocks exhaustion perks? Maybe a addon? Nah, that would be ridiculous ...
Totem spawns are improved and will be continue to improve. Devs said that multiple times.
For all who cry for it: Improved totem spawns also means a Ruin rework is necessary. Ruin is like support wheels for killer allready and makes killer super easy to play. Even if it get cleansed in the first min, the time advantage is huge. So better learn now to play without ruin.

Most likely an overexaggeration due to having it occur frequently.
Bad spawns frequently is still a bad thing though.

Ruin is NOT necessary, and the fact that it's meta has to be some insane mass delusion. It barely lasts 30 seconds in a match, and there's way better stalling perks in the game.
You bring ruin as a choice, probably because some youtuber told you it was mandatory.
You know what might be better than playing with 3 perks, hinging your game on the first seconds? Playing with 4 perks that impact the REST of the match.

As long as we don't have a 2nd objective for survivors, Ruin is a necessity against good survivor groups to buy the killer some additional time.
And it's absolutely reasonable to ask for totems to not spawn right next to survivors or gens or in the open field.

The problem its that they wont fix it ppl will still complain about it if they fix it survivor will adapt and find totems spots no matter

@Larcz These are voluntary, not obligatory. I'm talking about an obligatory additional objective.
Also, dealing with totems doesn't take a lot of time. When I play SWF, usually one player is responsible for totems and cleanses them pretty quick. Not enough additional time for the killer.

Killers deal with abysmal RNG totem spawns for years and survivors say "well duh its rng! dont use ruin duh"
Survivors deal with sometimes unlucky RNG door spawns for one month and survivors say "REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIS IS UNFAIR NERF NERF NERF"

Sure, no one can deny that really bad Totem Spawns exist. But I have had matches were my Totems were found pretty late or even never. And also had matches as Survivor, where Ruin stayed up all game.
But nearly no Killer will remember the good Totem Spots, but all the bad ones and is going to say that Ruin is at a bad Sport in EVERY game. Which is simply wrong.

They don't need to remember the good spots and praise them, that's just called "how it already should be".
People can give a shout out to how good spots are, sure, but it's way more important to call out the bad.

There are two perks that make totem hunting a breeze, but survivors don't want to drop one of their clutch perks for them.

You can also bring a map to find totems. No need to use a perk slot.
