So "Im all ears " now completely destroys Dance With Me builds?
Why are you trying so hard to kill stealth?
You know,Im just curious.
I like playing stealthy, but you keep adding all these aura reading perks and they completely destroy this playstyle.
Not to mention Ghostface himself: oh you revealed him? Now he knows where you are!
(Dont misunderstand, this is not a thread talking about how "OP" Ghostface or tracking perks are, this is a thread talking about how stealth is dying)
sigh
Im just gonna run in circle after this patch, I guess.

It's only when its out of a terror radius, so won't really kill it during chases with most killers.
11 -
It's still a bad enough perk that almost no one would be running it any way. I doubt you have to worry.
20 -
It got changed in the PTB,now it works within 48 meters from the killer's location.
I know, but what if Im going against an adept Ghostface?
Im not saying IAE will completely destroy stealth or even come close,Im just saying...why? Why they keep adding these aura reading perks? :(
4 -
OMG lit I don't think that's bad with the cooldown. rip dance with me *shrug
2 -
That's quite a niche situation lol. If he's going for adept Ghostface then he's also running trash perks so it should be an easy game for you anyway.
"Why they keep adding these aura reading perks? :("
This is a pretty bad aura reading perk with long the cooldown on it. If he actually runs this he's wasting a perk slot where he could have been running a much stronger perk that you don't have to deal with now.
If it was a more reasonable cooldown like 20 seconds matching QnQ, then we'd have something. However with its current cooldown it's just bad.

Survivors want to be chased all game to troll and abuse the killer, so the time killers spend looking for them needs to be reduced.
Survivors don't know what they want, and the devs should stop listening to them.
12 -
No one is gonna use that anyway. This perk is weak compared to the other powerful perks that killers have to choose (Spirit Fury, Bamboozle etc) so I think you can be calm about that.
0 -
And this perk is only good for Nurse. Spirit doesn't see auras in her world so I think it's ok.
1 -
I don't think this perk will become common or anything but the devs really do need to stop replying on aura reading. We have too many damn aura reading perks and add ons. It is not fun gameplay nor is it clever design. It's lazy.
7 -
100% agree.
3 -
You didnt get the point .
0 -
Well at least you only have to worry if someone is trying to get adept ghost

Unless I have the wrong information, this perk only affects people that fast vault within 48 meters of the killer aka not stealthy play. If you're concerned about this perk affecting you cause you like to play stealthy, there's a possibility that you're misunderstanding either the perk or playing stealthy. This is a perk to help chases end faster and a bit of a gamble at even being useful.
1 -
Use Jeff perk to stop aura reading ability.
1 -
I'm All Ears should work within 48/40/32 meters on a 30 second cool-down or something. I cannot see a survivor fast vaulting outside of your TR tbh, unless they are BM'ing.

There is no place for Distortion in my builds
(Judging by the downvotes, people dont have an IQ high enough to understand that you cant run a specific perk for every change the devs make)

Thats your fault, don't complain about the devs "killing" stealth if you aren't even willing to pick up a good stealth perk.
3 -
Dance with Me is bad anyway. It would be a good perk if they increased the time, 3 seconds does nothing.
4 -
You act like people actually run dance with me over some sort of exhaustion perk (sprint burst, dead hard, balanced landing, lithe) DS, MoM, and adrenaline.
Dance with me is trash
3 -
3 seconds of no scratches if paired with lightweight or lithe can be devastatingly effective.
2 -
Forgot to mention that distortion is not good :)
And I shouldn't run a specific perk for evey change the devs make
Thats not my fault at all .
Good try tho.
(it is my fault I cant have 5 perk slots? are you high or something?)

you could say that it is counterable now so oooooooooo so unfair

Let's be real here. I'm All Ears isn't going to be a meta perk. Dance With Me isn't a meta perk. The probability that the killer is running I'm All Ears and a survivor is running Dance With Me in the same match is very low. And news flash: some perks counter other perks. Iron Grasp counters Boil Over. Insidious counters Borrowed Time. Hangman's Trick counters Saboteur and Breakdown. Hell, Hex: Third Seal counters Bond, Empathy, Window's Of Opportunity, Open Handed, Object of Obsession, Kindred and Dark Sense. But you don't see the forums flooded with posts about how OP Hex: The Third Seal is. Just relax. The sky isn't falling and stealth perks aren't dead.

You could say that DWM is not even a meta perk and for it to work you need 2 other specific perks.
Soooooo unfair indeed.

Wahhh, my OP survivor build might have a problem with one killer playing specifically one way. Wahhh why can't killers just let me gen rush the board then let everyone loop them for 5 minutes a piece and give all of us hatch. WAHHHH 😭😭😭
0 -
DWM builds OP? xD
And for your information, people who "stealth" don't actually wanna loop.
Rank 20 killer main spotted.
8 -
Yes, I'm All Ears would counter Dance with Me/Quick and Quiet/Lithe combo, but if you're running three perks for a little bit of stealth...
...Let's just say a niche counters a niche.
2 -
Don't worry it's so incredibly situational/bad that no mentally healthy killer will ever run it.
1 -
Skill-free aura reading in a glorified hide and seek game is sooooo much fun.
I love it when the devs make the actual horror aspect less and less effective. Trying to sneak and evade a killer? Planning a getaway with clever use of lockers? Quick and quiet? No way, Jose!
The game is so much scarier when you just slap on 4 second chance perks and run around in circles instead!
4 -
Object of Obsession destroys stealth killers. Why did I type that? For the same (close enough anyways) reason you wrote the opening thread.
Survivors and killers have perks that counter the other. It is just unfortunate that you are bound to face someone who has/will use a perk that isn't really going to be that useful anyways. Besides, the perk will only really find use in a chase, which you are unfortunate enough to have a build that will be countered by this perk. Assuming it ever gets used.
The downvotes fuel my power. One step closer to becoming God.Post edited by Shad03 on1 -
Stealth was dead way back in 2018.
And it's funny because both the Developers AND Killer mains want looping nerfed... but the only thing they keep doing is buffing looping perks and systematically making stealth worse and worse with every patch.
That said... nobody actually uses Dance WIth Me so don't worry about it.

OOO destroys the survivor using it. It's rare to find a Survivor or team of Survivors who can make full use of OOO. Usually the OOO winds up dead.

@Mochan I've had a solo match or two I've survived alone. I didn't save the video unfortunately, I could try though when I'm free. Maybe not, but still.
You're right though, anyone who had OoO on me when I was playing a stealth killer never made it out alive. That poor Laurie.

If the goal was to increase stealth you'd have to get rid of the second chance perks so survs don't feel like they can be all willy nilly and also get rid of the aura perks on both sides. For killer NC is the only one I really feel is worth a slot anymore. BBQ can be good at times but it's easy to counter and you can pretty much assume where people are going to be anyway after a hook. By the time you get to the ones far enough away they're already hiding in an area you'd likely be checking around in without it.
If DWM were a staple in my build I would just trade it out for a week and it probably wont be something you'll have to worry about much after that.

Dance With Me is for beginners anyway, not worth a slot.
0 -
I do.
And why is it for begginers when its difficult to make that perk effective?
0 -
It works only when the survivor is outside the terror radius, so it really does nothing to the build
0 -
If stealth is harder now than it was originally, survivors have only themselves to blame.
0 -
Quickly vaulting is definantly not stealth to begin with haha. Yes the perk is there for the "quick to runaway" survivors getting caught red handed. Theres endless perks and just complaining that theres another way for the killer to see the aura isnt really the answer. But of course.. I think its true something small like this is not really a perk for a killer to pick when theres other options to make him more successful
0 -
If you dont want to be seen and think you can be second to last or last survivor why not add the perk soul survior?
0 -
Stop being such a clown op
0 -
So discussing peacefully a normal thread is being a clown nowdays?
You need to think twice about who is the one being ridiculous here.
1 -
@Andreyu44 it's being a clown in that it's not the norm. How many threads don't just turn into a pissing contest? Not enough that's for sure.

This game was so much more fun when you did everything to be quiet and not get found. It was a lot more frightening without all the aura perks to see the other side. The maps were darker and more scary/ Now it might as well be mid day on most maps.
I would prefer to have a more powerful killer without them being able to see auras. I think it would be a lot more enjoyable to be afraid of being found instead of running everywhere. If a killer is chasing you, you should be frightened and having to think and adapt.
As a survivor you should be hiding and doing the objectives in fear. The darker maps were kind of frightening if you let yourself imagine it. Yet now they are so bright that there is no fear. The variety of maps is better but if we are supposed to be someplace creepy, dark and fearing for our lives we should have the ability to hide ( no not just blend in like so many complain of). It should require forethought and adaptation of surroundings and in some cases quick thinking.
Yes i am sure this would extend the time it took to play a round and it is only my opinion.
