Audio sound regarding survivors' footsteps should not be made any louder.

I remember in the previous patch that survivors' footsteps were very loud. Like literally you can close your eyes to chase them and still follow them correctly. The sound of footsteps were like thunder strike when I played survivors. Right now survivors' footsteps are more reasonable. You need to be very close to them to hear the footsteps. I heard that Devs are gonna make survivors' footsteps louder. Please no.

That's a result of the faulty occlusion and obscenely loud chase music, sadly.

Footsteps and breathing are definitely heard by the killer. The issue is the volume of music, etc, making it hard to use these during chases.

It's not like they're gonna bring back thundersteps.

    Just a reasonable volume.

    @Alfred

Yeah, Stridor hasn't worked properly since winter of '18.

    No.

Sounds have been messed up since forever.

Anything they can do to alleviate this is much appreciated and long overdue.

I main Spirit. That means I have always been able to follow survivors' footsteps. Survivors' footsteps are fine as they are now. I hate people who don't actually listen when they play killer and yet ask for unreasonable sound changes.

I liked the footsteps as survivor and killer.

It's really damn weird not hearing my own footsteps, and I could hear the killers DOOMP DOOMP DOOMPS from a mile away too.

Footsteps while running should be hearable it would make since if you could hear a killers but not a survs

When i first tried survivor after only playing killer i was in for a hell of a surprise when i heard how loud survivors are... to themselves.

For all i care there should be a year with OP tracking sound after all those without it.

Also stridor/ iron will are coded so that IW will negate stridor although its supposed to be the other way.

Hearing footsteps needs to come back. Same thing with survivor breathing. The sounds has been broken since forever and its loooong overdue returning.

When I play Spirit I can hear footsteps and breathing just fine.

Your sound systems on your PCs are just bad. Use headphones for a cheap fix if you can't hear squat.

This thread is full of killers who are just bad at the game and are asking for Survivors nerfs just to compensate for their unwillingness to get better at the game.

I am on ps4 with a 250£ Sennheiser headset and the sound has been terrible in the last 6 months.

What's even worse is that some sounds are painfully loud which prevents me from raising the volume.

Ie the nurse screeching during a blink, or the chase music or the sound of kicking a gen.

It is a big issue when I need to choose in a video game between my ear health and hearing survivors

I don't know I have ASUS Xonar DX/XD + ATH-A990Z which is not completely crappy setup and I can't hear footsteps.

So either I am deaf or you are filtering chase music which allow you to hear the foot steps.
