Gen Rush
Why. Why. Why do people gen rush during these events... Then they're all t bagging at the exit gates with their 7k bps. It's their loss.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply you weren't getting BPs, I was just sharing my experiences so far and how I feel I get back at the cocky survivors. I'm not sure anyone has a definitive answer as to "why" the survivors act the way they do, just anecdotes about their own run-ins with such players.
One guess as to why they may be acting that way is they're gloating that they denied you points by rushing through the gens. Some players make it their goal to deny the other side enjoyment and/or points, same way some survivors DC to deny the killer a BBQ stack or some killers DC to deny survivors escaping. Going in with the mindset you stated in your original post, "It's their loss," is the exact right way to think about it.

@Kabu That right there is why no one should stick to playing one side exclusively: it seems to breed a lack of empathy. It's like they don't realize that without the other side playing, there is no game. A killer without survivors would be a walking simulator. Survivors without a killer would be a gen repair sim.
If someone only plays one side, they seem to think their side is the only one that can be made miserable, when the truth is that neither side has a monopoly on suffering: playing both sides can be a miserable experience, and one side antagonizing the other just leads to a vicious cycle.

gen rush gives you way more than 7k bps, trust me, its not like they care for the fun of killers either

Why go to the exit gate? I like to open the exit gate, get the BP for that, then find the hatch. If I can close the hatch and get the BP great. If I don't get to close it but at least get to deny it to anyone else, that's cool, too. Every once in a while, a survivor gets sac'd to the entity because they wanted the hatch and didn't make it to the exit in time. Bonus!
I haven't been using any add-ons or offerings during this event. That way, when I get gen rushed, I've lost nothing but a couple minutes of my time. And I get to take joy in the fact that they didn't get as much BP as they could have. I've been using a farming build on Spirit, with Distressing and Beast of Prey, so even when I do poorly I often still make out better than the survivors. Feels good.

I was not talking about how many bps I get. Hence my stating it's their loss. Moreso, I was talking about how few the survivors are getting then get cocky afterwards. I'm getting plenty of bps as killer. Thanks for the tips though. Being able to open the gate is great

I wish that wasn't the case but you're most likely right. I just saw someones profile on ps4 and it said they are a toxic Nea and to fck killer mains

One side hates the other, and vice versa.
Like every X2 event, one side is toxic and ruins the game for people who're not, and vice versa. For the past 4 days, all I noticed was people saying they've faced the sweatiest tryhards ever, and that's not too far from the truth.

Yeah sure, let me just walk around aimlessly while you chase survivors and down them. Gen rushing just means survivors are doing Gens... Aka their objective.

You did not understand my post then as I was not talking about the killers points

because...they wanna win

The survivers get far less points if gens are completed too fast. They must enjoy r1 simulator.
