Turn up the chase music
I cannot tell whether i'm in a chase or not.

Watch the left side if your screen. When you get points, you are outside if the chase.

It tells you if you’re in a chase. It pops up on the side.

I feel like Devs have problems with finding the middle ground.
Be it balance or audio, they either overkill it or hammer nerf it.

They always break audio.
My game is at 15% main volume and my headphone are turned down to half and it's still so loud, but now i can't hear the music at all over the killers sound effects in which seemed to be turned up.
So i have to look at my BP gain to see if i'm in a chase or not?

I feel like they whole Sound is broken now. I can't hear the chase music, or the music when I'm hurt as a survivor, or the scream when someone goes down. The game is way too quiet now. It's weird af.

I enjoy music with my games. It gives it atmosphere. Now i just hear sounds.
Looks like i'll just have to play my own. I know it's bad when i can hear myself breathing over my headphones. :/

Or they could just not make ridiculous, unnecessary changes.

I understand that the chase music was too obnoxious and loud, but i don't want it silent either.

Next thread: Turn down the chase music!

Repeat.

I thought they'd removed the music entirely, can't hear a thing!

I like the idea of having low chase music... I'm sick of feeling like my head is right next to a amplifier/speaker....

I thought my headphones were failing or something, i know chase sound was an issue but this is ridiculous

I'd prefer it without the music myself, but this thread is evidence that perhaps a background music slider so that people can choose the volume for themselves would be a good idea

It was too loud before. A volume slider would help a lot for both sides.

the music is part of game balance, it's typically supposed to be loud to make it harder to hear things (footsteps, breathing, etc) as well as give feedback as to what is going on (if you're in a chase or not, how close or far the killer is)

Killers that hunt using sound don't need chase music blasting their ears while trying to listen to footsteps, grass, etc.
Especially now that they added the nausea-inducing red vfx when stunned. I just have to look away from the screen now, but I need to actually hear stuff.
A volume slider would solve problems for everyone.

I just want to add that it's not just chase music like the patch notes imply. ALL of the music (at least survivor side, can't speak for killer) is near mute.
Low chase music, low injured music, low ambient music, low MENU music (yes, I have it at 100%), low terror radius music. I mean this ######### is so low it might as well just not exist.
In this state, the game is honestly unplayable for me. For survivor in particular right now it's really hard to gauge how close the killer is, especially while working on a generator.
I don't know how this made it through the PTB to live. Both the patches on PTB had this problem and somehow it got pushed to live??? Really??
