I actually like the new MOM, as both a killer and survivor. I think using it for protection hits makes more sense lore why and makes it more strategic to use.

In comparison to the old version, i guess you can think it was killed.
It still has good uses though: It'll be your very own Borrowed Time effect without the timer once you put in enough effort.
I do agree protection hits are finnicky though...

@Plu lol considering i have been playing for a year nearly, no training wheels, it was a good perk to have against the tunnelers and also helped my fellow team at the exit gates

MoM was one of those perks it will either really be good to the point some would call it op or it will barely be useful unless they fully reworked the perk which they didn't there was sadly no middle ground for it ):

i don't need MOM now i have borrowed time, yes it protects me but i got other more useful perks for such now

everyone says "more strategic to use" but there was strat used for old MoM to it wasn't just oops i got hit..MoM is worse than DS. and that says something because DS aint really it either..

Honestly the core idea of the perk is so unhealthy it shouldn't have ever been made in the first place.
The only way to make this perk bearable is to nerf it as hard as they did.

MoM is dead. It's unfortunate that they couldn't find a way to make it fair without breaking it. They seriously need to fix the way protection hits work at the very least.

I got it to proc but I wasted too much time chasing the killer/healing for it to be worthwhile.

Since this change to MoM I've been experiencing a steep increase in survivors unhooking their teammates right in front of me, and trying to body block my hook attempts in pretty much every match I've had today. Been considering breaking out and dusting off Mad Grit because of this, so I guess it'll be seeing more usage.
