I just hoped on Dead By Daylight today because, well, Ghost Face released and I wanted to play the new patch and Anniversary Event. Unfortunately, I saw the 2x BP still going on, but, I decided to play through it. That was a mistake. Whenever I got stunned as a killer, I hate a bright red flash of something on my screen. It gave me a horrible headache and I thought it was just some glitch, so I looked on the forums to find out it was intended. I've seen lots of other forum posts about it and I'm simply wondering WHY it came to the live build, I still have that stupid headache and it's been over 4 hours.

What about the god damn screen shaking when you or someone close to you gets hit as survivor. It's so disgusting that it makes me sick. Did anyone ask for those?

I'm on board since 2016 and they never kept their word.

They never really seemed to care for the game atleast a lil bit.

I would never care for such a community if I was a dev^^

Unfortunately, they do care and it's painful to see how useless is to care about something that will backlash anyway because of its toxicity.

How is being pissed about a VFX that causes headaches, or eyestrain "toxic"? This VFX was unneeded since we already had a black VFX and a loud killer groan when stunned by pallet.

That #########'s headache inducing. I hope they remove it very soon.

One of the developers said on the forum, its to tell new players that they got stunned. Because the shacking camera, and the groaning killers isnt enough of a telltale already clearly.

Seriously, the best way to solve this problem, would be by expanding the tutorial.

I wasn't talking about that specifically, but if a concept simple as "trying to improve our game but somewhat making a step in the wrong direction FOR SOMEONE" translates in "devs NEVER EVER did anything good for the community and they're bad" <- that's when I can pretty much say this community is toxic.

I personally don't have anything against the red light, in fact, I appreciate that and I think that the devs were just trying to make the game prettier.

If it hurts someone SO FRIGGIN MUCH then I'm sorry for him and for the sake of his health I would be glad if they at least consider a toggle on/off; but if the same person who got hurt starts crying like a baby, saying "devs did this just to HURT ME, they put hours of work just because they don't care!!11" or bullshit like this, then I don't give a ######### anymore.

@ABannedCat If anything, the bright red light tells the new players that stuns are bad and if they believe stuns are bad they'll start respecting pallets.. and if a killer's respecting pallets they'll get looped into oblivion and humiliated constantly.

And any player that's humiliated constantly will eventually go toxic as they'll seek to "pay back" for all the negativity they've experienced. The toxic spiral continues.

someday someone will go blind for this stupid idea that they did

One of the definitions of toxic is the quality of making one ill. Which is exactly what this VFX is doing. Behavior's completely unwanted red stun VFX is actually toxic in the literal sense.

    Do you see this, devs?

It's so bad that someone thought it was just a bug

Ah. I mis-interpeted your post as in "Shut up and stahp complainging becaus [obligitory devs praise]" kinda deal when the devs made a stupid mistake with a VFX change. Though its not suprising that people are saying that "devs hate cumminity, and are ######### and did this to hurt meh"

Personally i don't like it, mostly because am too used not having a sudden flash VFX. That, and am one of those players that have issues with the VFX. Eyestrain when encountering it multiple times in a row.

« We heard the flashlight blind was physically hurting killer players. So we changed it. As a consistency change, pallet stuns now physically hurt you. You tried to play killer and you must be punished »

No one asked for it, no one liked it, no one wants it

And they decided to keep it

God forbid you have epilepsy. At least come with a warning.

Flashlights still hurt. Why does it have to be that weird bright white/veiny thing? I'd prefer a better transition or to just look at the ground. Currently trying my damnedest to play around it (it's more than eyestrain for me). So I won't be touching GF since I've learned to try and hit through pallets. And I was willing to at least try him.
