Why do survivors get less BP?
This is a question that has sat in my mind for a while now. Why does the killer easilly get so many more points then each survivor? This seems like an intentional design. Even if a survivor maxes all of their emblems they wont have as many points as the killer, unless the killer had a very bad game. (Possible since I maxed out my emblems, but by no means a requirement)
The disparity between the BP gains is so great that every time a double BP event hits, it becomes nearly impossible to play killer. I'm not even counting right now, they released GF, and he's strong. It's natural people will want to play him. But I shouldn't have a 5-7 minute wait for a game on a friday or saturday night. So I was wondering why this was designed? The only guess I have is that the BP is there to entice people to play killer, since it is a stressful role. But what do you think?

Despite what all the killer mains are telling you. The game isnt survivor-sided, it's killer-sided.

It's 1:30 in the morning and I woke up my family I was laughing so hard. That was a good one. You're funny.

Killers get more points because it's 1 vs 4. You have to fight against the other 3 for points as well as work together. Also, killer is indeed stressful and a lot of them require addons to play effectively. This is coming from the devs themselves. Don't like dealing with x? Just run addons. Don't like gen rushing? Just use Ruin. Etc, etc. I do feel there could be more BP but when you add up surv vs killer score technically the "team" gets more during a good match. It's all on how you play it.
Also killers can't die, so they're pretty much guaranteed points. Especially seeing as they can break pallets, hit gens, and other actions that grant points without having to directly interact with survivors. Survivors kinda rely on killers to feed them points.

Increased BP gain is probably not intended by design with "difficulty" and all that in mind, but, nowadays, considering Killers have to do much more than Survivors in terms of pressure, chases, time management, etc, that by itself is fair, at least in my opinion.
However, the real reason why Killers get more BP is because if you want to play with add-ons (which is a must for most of the Killers), you will have to replenish them. Add-ons are lost in a match no matter how great or bad you performed. As opposed to Survivors who can survive and keep whatever items they brought in, and even acquire new ones. Not to mention Survivors dont really need items to perform good.
There is also the fact that for Killers, you have to level them all up. In order to get a special build going on a specific Killer, you need to invest BP on it, and this goes for every Killer you wish to get such build on. Survivors, on the other hand, can get all perks in one character and call it a day, for they are simply skins.

What makes me upset is the fact that I can go into a game, get tunneled for 5 gens bc Im the obsession and he has dying light. I keep him on me for FIVE generators, and then I finally go on the hook and i get face camped. I depip this game because I didnt have the chance to do any generators. The next game I go into a match against an AFK wraith. We gen rush, and leave. I depip this game. why the hell do i depip bc the killer went afk? hard stuck rank 3 because this ######### keeps happening. I love this game so much but it is so frustrating that even when I have a good game i cant pip.

Despite what people are telling you, survivors get bloodpoints easier than killers. Wow, it's easy to blatantly lie.
There's a few reasons that killers get more bloodpoints than survivors. One of the biggest reasons is BBQ stacks are a hell of a lot easier to get than WGLF stacks. But in addition, optimal survivor gameplay is to get stuff done as quickly as possible and get out which is going to end up shorting you on bloodpoints while optimal killer gameplay is to keep the game going as long as possible which is where you get more bloodpoints. When you play at your best, that's usually when you get the most bloodpoints so the fact that the best survivor play is short games and the best killer play is long games is another major reason killers get more bloodpoints.

The killers get points in all categories (almost) when interacting with survivors and they're also the one that's longest in the match.
Makes perfect sense that they're the ones that have most points at the end.

Survivors need to..
Be chased, do gens, rescue off hook and survive.
Killers need to..
Chase, Hit, Hook and Sacrifice.
You can’t do gens while you’re being chased. You also go against 2 others to rescue one survivor off the hook.
Killer point categories all flow together, while Survivors get pulled in many different directions.
Killer point gain has always been more, that isn’t a secret. Especially when one of the most used perks is BBQ and Chili

If you get a bad killer you don't get any blood points if you get a high tier nurse or spirit or hag or billy that just crushes you, you don't get any blood points. You need killer that is even with you to get a good amount. Even then survivors have multiple objectives which makes it harder to get blood points.

Because survival point never get to 8k, killer when playing can max all 4 categories (hooking , hitting , tracking , down/hit someone with his power).
Survivors never get the 8k in the survival category because the actions to increase it never happen (Wiggle from killer , heal yourself , escape yourself from trapper traps , doctor madness , legion mend , Head On , DS) all those increase the survival but without farming it's impossible.

Till rank 1 (and even there it's arguable, given you should specify if talking about solo or swf), the game is killer sided :)
19 ranks against 1 rank :) You could pretty much say this game is 19/20 killer sided^^
Sincerly, a killer main.

you don't have to be a killer main to know that the game is survivor sided lol

Lol, a killer main, he gets even funnier.

my take is that the game is survivor sided in general, but you can make it killer sided (for yourself) by equipping certain things on certain killers
or by running an ebony mori offering

Survivors can just die and play the next game.
Killers must finish the game.
In the end both sides get the same bloodpoints, but you must play longer as survivor.
PS:
Killer players must lvl up all killers, because they have different abilities.
Survivor players must only lvl up 1 survivor.

I just played with a few buddies for about 3 hours, all of which was streamed by one of them. Due to both the rank reset, and the flood of people trying to play ghostface, we got killers all the way from rank 17, to 8. We were all close in rank, I think we all started at about 11 or 10.
The vast majority of games, we either all survived, or one person died. I don't think we had any 2 survive 2 die games, and only one where 1 survived (opening a door after the killer closed the hatch). One, maybe two games where all 4 of us died. Average of 6 games per hour (most do last about 10 minutes or so), so around 18 games, give or take a few. Let's say 20, for the sake of easy math. Let's round up, and say 5 games where the killer won (with K/S ratio). That makes 15 where the survivors won. (a single game was farming game)
Of course, this is anecdotal, during a double bloodpoint and "normal" event, with a brand new killer released, but this is in line with my general play, too. Maybe 8/12, and more ties, but still close.

They get the same amount.
If you maxed out all 4 categories, then you got 32k points.

You know you're wrong when you have forum Survivor mains telling you the game is Survivor sided.

No reason, only to make killers happy

maybe survs get less per game but per hour you can actually get more bp than killer because you get more games quickly where as the killer has to wait until the match is over. not talking about the killer queues atm anyway
if you want to farm bp now play surv because tommorow double bp is gone

The Killer spends the entire game, doing actions to earn BP's. They have 4 targets to chase and score off of. Survivors have their own actions, they can literally spend the entire game hiding and doing gens, never seeing the Killer once.
If you want to see a game where the survivors get more points then the Killer, do one where everyone is stealthy. If the Killer has nothing to interact with then they earn no points.
The problem is the game has decided that in order for Survivors to get more points they need to interact with the Killer. Multiply that by 4 survivors all wanting to up their points means the Killer has 4 times the interactions as a solo survivor gets.
This usually means that if the Killer plays "fair" and tries to 3 hook a lot and give good chases, they get loads of points.

The minute you hit green ranks, you start getting bullied by squads, and coordinated solos. Yea, plenty of potatoes, but that's where they start to pop up due to deranking/rank-resets. However this is off-topic.
