Can we get "offline" matches against AI because killer queues are abysmal

I'd much rather fight against AI than having to wait 20+ minutes to get a damn killer match (which probably cancels because survivors DC...).

So I'd really want a offline mode against AI survivors/killer.

Some basic survivor and killer AI already exists judging by the tutorial. The thing is it would probably take away too much of their resources to develop a full AI so we're gonna have to deal with the lobby simulator. Maybe (and hopefully) they're gonna make it happen in a few years, though.

If Killer lobbies are truly awful, I know I would personally have more fun playing against tutorial-level AI 😂

Just wait when event end and all go to normal.

I would love an offline mode, It'd be great for testing out different killers and perk builds without having to worry

Personally, I dont need bots. I just want a mode, where I am allowed to freely roam on a map of my choice. Both as survivor and killer. I know that Kill your Friends exist, but I dont have that many friends that play Dbd :/ Or maybe allow us to start a KYF match with only 1 player?

I don't know how this is not in the game yet!

The tutorial has an AI trapper that actually swings at you if you get too close the entity tremor wall

The bloodpoint grind is ridiculous enough to where they could just add bloodpoint gains to KYF. Especially since bloodpoint offerings can't even be used in that mode. So what if people want to team up to grind out bloodpoints in the most efficient way possible. At best, they'll only double the rate of bloodpoint gains from normal gameplay. And half of an insanely long grind is still an annoyingly long grind.

I doubt that. The mod community of Dark souls 1 created a fully functional AI fighting bot which is extremely strong but natural. Remember, ONE single guy who isn't even a developer created such an fighting bot, it would be quite easy for the devs to create the same

Imagine how awesome it would be if they could create an AI with the level of depth and behavior as the Xenomorph from Alien: Isolation.

That one guy didn't have to work on literally anything else for DS1. He had no schedule, no deadlines, no pressure to succeed (because it didn't matter if he failed).

A fighting bot also has basically just four decisions to make during combat, besides movement: attack, block/parry, dodge, or heal. The movement itself is also pretty basic - you'll mostly be fighting on an even plane and avoiding dangerous surfaces.

Oh, and that was probably done after DS1's development stopped, so he didn't have to worry about updating the mod either. If you'd ever modded a game that's still being updated, you'd know every single update breaks those mods.

EDIT: And just out of sheer morbid curiosity, what kind of bugs does that fighting bot have, how exploitable is it, and how long did it take to make?
