The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

There has to be enough people

Playing this game that you can NOT pair me as a rank 15 killer with rank 8 survivors. Especially when my char clearly is level 1 with no perks or addons. I couldn't compete with these players on my highest level killer with my best perks unlocked. This is the kind of thing that will make a new player throw in the towel on the game.

Rip. That's really annoying. I second this.

I've been sent against red rank survivors while at rank 12

That's true, bad matchmaking scares new players away and BHVR needs to address this immediately. I thought matchmaking issues had been controlled but we're back at it and it's getting annoying :/

And that is just insane @NuclearBurrito. I understand that there are only so many people on at any given time but geez.

That's insult to injury @Kanzaki making me wait so long just to get paired with a team I have no chance against and waste my time or abandon the daily. As a new player, I need all the BP's I can get.

I remember a long time ago, when I was a wee baby wraith, I, a rank 18, went up against a full SWF of rank 1s. Looking back, it was amazing I got a sacrifice.

Now I'm sitting at rank 12, and I haven't seen such a disparity since.

I think it's because it's too easy to rank up on survivor currently.

@Blueberry how is it too easy? I’m stuck at rank eight just safety pipping. I can save everyone, do a gen or two and get chased and still just safety pip.

Not sure how you'd like me to answer that. It seems pretty lenient to me.

@Blueberry I just don’t see it, I cannot pip easily at all.

Do you have a recording I can watch to see what you're doing? I can only speculate otherwise.

I generally see a lot of survivors that waste so much time and potential points. Almost every second you should be either in chase, on a gen, or making a save. The people that aren't always fitting one of those three at all times are being potatoes. I see lots of wasted walking around and hiding unnecessarily by survivors that is making them miss lots of points. Not saying you are doing those.

@Blueberry I run spine chill so I do sometimes avoid chase, that is probably why then.

Well that should be leaving you more open for extra gen and rescue points to compensate, but yeah that would be making you miss out on other categories.

Most my depip or safety pip games are when there's DC's or the occasional hard camp, but that's much rarer than the DC epidemic we have now.

    I 4ked anyway that game ;)

The other 3 players were potatoes.

I've also found that I don't usually pip when playing survivor. But I'm almost 100% sure it's because I rarely play survivor in the first place so I'm not very good at the role, so it's not an issue that someone like me isn't pipping.

What's worrying me, is that while I'm not the best at execution I at least know to be on gens as much as possible even with almost no experience. So what are all of those people who AREN'T on generators most of the game doing?

Facing higher rank opponents is good for you. Yea you lose. But you learn more too.

Maybe I don't want to go through the pain of being stomped because I don't care about becoming good at a game, I just care about having a laugh and destressing.

A decent matchmaking should pair people of equivalent skill level, give or take, dbd must do this.

I play pokemon showdown which is essentially a free game, and that is capable of pairing me up with my equals so it isn't a titanic task.

    @RogueGamer

We've been preaching this for a while. And they have FINALLY listened. Sorta. It'll be another 6 months ot a year, when we get dedicated servers, but your killer rank will eventually be per killer, and there will be leaderboards for each killer. Which I'm somewhat excited for. (i must admit, i' haven't played much in a couple months, due to the tank meta. so that takes a chunk of excitement away. But I'be beenplaying again now)

there will be weird matchmaking right now.

this is due to the ongoing killer boycot (due to the wake up bug)

Honestly surprised any of you are playing killer currently

I was at rank 1 survivor and got a rank 18 killer and 3 rank 20-17 survivors I felt bad because if I knew the killer was that rank I wouldn't have been playin with him like I did :/
