pokemon sword/shield?

How do you feel or what is your opinion/thought about they will not include the full roster of Pokémon from previous games and only include Pokémon that appear in the Galar Pokédex?

Oh, and tell us your favorite pokemon too if you can

    Right now, my thoughts are mixed. The new region and Pokemon look great in my books, but I can't stand the things people are ranting about such as no megas and some pokemon getting the cut.

    I think they're cutting huge corners to meet their yearly release and I'd much rather see them take an extra year to make it a proper game instead of rush it out early without several hundred pokemon.

    TL;DR: Gamefreak's lies and cut Pokemon facts relating to Sword/Shield and future Pokemon games ruined it for me 😐️ (I have more than one favorite, Eevee, Mimikyu, Mareep line)


    My (original) problem with Sword & Shield was the fact of Pokemon getting cut from the games but with Gamefreak spilling lies and increasing the price up to $60, they made the problem worse (from the original $40 I think it has been in the past). All they are doing is using copy+paste models and move animations from X&Y, so Gamefreak doesn't really have an excuse to not include all the Pokemon on a console that is meant for huge games. They can easily fit all the Pokemon into gen 8, they just don't feel like it and will continue to cut Pokemon from any main/core Pokemon game series. Even though they said something along the lines of (will use they since I can't remember which official Gamefreak member said this) "Pokemon Sword & Shield will be Breath of the Wild tier" and what did we get? Most if not all Pokemon models being like X&Y's, just renamed with a new location for gen 8 (plus the obvious new Pokemon that will probably only have close to the same amount of new Pokemon X&Y had (~80)

    @Ring_Ring I agree on most of those points but I do want to point out that they confirmed Swoshi will hit the 1000 mark, meaning we're looking at just under 200 new Pokemon minimum.
