Red ranks exploiting matchmaking.
So question is why is it not punishable for red ranks to match make with rank 16s but it’s bannable for dc smurfing it’s the same thing, honestly I don’t give a crap about playing with friends excuse, that’s what kyf is for. Something seriously needs to be done with this “legitimate” way of smurfing. Especially on console which I can speak for ps4 needs a lot of attention from the dev team we put in enough money in to the game and get no platform specific support. We don’t even get a ptb to test things out on our platform we need to wait til it goes live after it’s released for pc specifically then we need to wait forever to get anything done.

Because you can't punish people for playing with their friends. Period.
The issue isn't with them playing with their low rank friends, the issue is with BHVR's matchmaking.

Right but with even this forum people look for “friends” to swf with and the ps4 communities are ridiculous where low ranks and high ranks alike are intentionally searching for it to unbalance the game. Also lets get a proxy chat perk for killers to ease the pain of swf...

Again, you can't punish people for playing with friends; and given the state of solo games with all the DC's, you have to take care of THAT problem before you tackle people playing with their friends to avoid it.

No they shouldn’t when the swf host is purposefully the lowest rank and it matches them with that parameter.
unless you low rank survivors wanna do it like this instead of matching with host match with the average of the highest 2 ranks(4 man swf) in the lobby with highest rank having a bit more say in the killer rank, or highest rank (2 man swf). Worse case scenario ppl stop swfing with rank 20s as rank 4. Next to worse case scenario low ranks learn to get better quicker if that’s how they wanna play why should a low rank killer be punished by being bullied because they chose to match make that way let the pain be on their part.

Unless they come out with an unrank gamemode people should be allowed to play with friends of any rank.

Yeah well they need to make it so the survivors deal with the suffering by forcing the game to match with highest rank instead of making an unsuspecting low rank killer be bullied by a rank 2. The killer match makes on his own with intention of fair gameplay mixed ranks don’t and all the while knowing it’s based off the low rank host.

Since SWFs are so powerful, matchmaking would be better at the rank of the highest rank player, even taking the average could potentially be over powered.
I'd hope that a better balance to SWFs would also discourage lobby dodging.

You can't expect people to NOT play with their friends.
I don't mind it. Generally all you have to do is pick apart the weaker friends until nobody is left but the stronger player.
Then you just corner them like rats during the EGC.
This is frankly, a non-issue.

It’s been bad on ps4 lately, this has had to be the most toxic double bloodpoint and event week I have seen in 2 years on this game. Console in general needs to have a legit place on the dev teams to do list. It’s about time they stop using us as a cash cow and give us no support in return.

I'm rank 11 and got matched against 3 red ranks. Was totally not fun.
Y should have theire fun (getting an easy game u win 95% and carrying theire rank 16 noob friend) a higher worth than my fun ( playing a challengefull game against people on my skill level)?
I don't see a reason for this. Really no.
If you want to play with your red rank friends you should have red rank.
Also mm should always match a killer with the highest rank in the team. You shouldn't have any kind of advantage of this...

They should make it so that when people play together the game should base the match on the highest ranking player, but we'll probably have to wait for dedicates servers for something like this to happen

That’s just an excuse look at pubg they have a console pts and they take a lot of care of their community cross all platforms. We don’t even have a say in how things work buffs nerfs reworks are all based on pc, we have to wait after live release then nothing gets done til mid chapter if anything does. I don’t think they realize how close to being as dead as f13 this game is on console. So I don’t expect to see much done anytime soon if we were a priority optimization wouldn’t wait until pc gets their dedicated servers we have been needing changes for a very long time that are gamebreaking issues that should have been fixed by now.

What's likely happening there is a SWF group. It'll use the rank of whoever started the group for matchmaking purposes.

Well then shame on bhvr for encouraging the misuse of this mechanic. When are players going to stop being complacent and start demanding the changes needing to be done. If I didn’t care for the game I wouldn’t give a ######### on these thing. But they want to bring this to mobile and switch with soo many current issues they will bury this game in an early grave because they will have too much on their plate, how can they add more platforms when they can’t deliver a smooth as possible game on the ones they already have? Greed is how.
