You should really fix the game instead just releasing cosmetics
The matchmaking is terrible again. I'm tired of being paired with 20 rank people (I'm 12 rank survivor), the killer queues are horribly long, wake up is bugged, the sounds still not fixed yet... It's so annoying to this point. We just want a decent game without so much issues. We aren't asking too much.

bad take

It's true, but they won't realistically. I want the exact same thing since 5 bugs that I know of ATM don't work as intended. Haddenfield audio is bugged again, Legion's infinite Mending and the Multiple Killers bugs are back, But unless everyone stops buying DLC and cosmetics till they fix the game, they will rush out crap.

there's no way you can be this naive
they have different teams working on cosmetics and bug fixes. neither has anything to do with the other
16 -
Different departments, cosmetics creators don't fix coding issues or bugs.
6 -
You are right but wrong at the same time. Indirectly it has to do with eachother because clearly bhvr is investing more money into people for cosmetics than actually for coding and bug fixing. And since bhvr has limited budget it's obviously wrong what they do.
6 -
Well the people who are working on bugs need to get working.
As the amount of bugs in this chapter is stupid.
2 -
uh, no. bhvr isn't "investing" anything into its cosmetics team that is taking anything away from its bug fixing team. none of us are privy to what the cosmetics team consists of vs the team that handles coding and bug fixes. they're two completely separate teams composed of people with different sets of skills and neither is receiving attention that takes away from the other. if you have an issue with the people currently responsible for the number of bugs in the game (and it's understandable that you do), complaining about the cosmetics team is the least sensible thing you could possibly do

How about we fire some of the cosmetics team, and hire more programmers? I would be totally behind that idea, if it means more bug fixes.

Definitely noticed some audio bugs in Haddonfield...
Was playing as Ghostface and was about 5 Meters away from the hatch but couldn't hear it until I went into stalk... and it was too late...

BHVR has to release cosmetics so that they can earn money and pay their employees who work on fixing bugs.

@ABannedCat Yeah just layoff the people who are needed to carry the entire rift&archive passes with a bunch of cool #########.
Great idea.

So bhvr isn't paying their workers now, is it that what you try to say? Each worker they add for making cosmetics has to get payed. That's an investment. And their budget is limited. Soooo, they invested into to many workers doing cosmetics and not enough for bug fixing. I mean, it's simple 1+1, do you really not get that?

@prof_teabagger How do you know the bug fixers don't outnumber the artists 10x over?
All games have bugs even ones with team sizes bhvr could never comprehend
More people here and there won't do anything. Only more years of work will.

agreed. Fixing the game bugs should be prioritized #1 and all the effort, time and money should be spent on this. Right now I feel like they say "it is highly prioritized" but I think as if 15% or less of their people are fixing bugs, and all the rest of them are making cosmetics, new chapters, rework, balance etc.

@NoShinyPony With the current cost of the skins, it makes perfect sense to prioritize making cosmetics. They're making bank.

Yup they need to focus more on the team that do the coding than the cosmetics one, the game keeps falling apart at every patch because there is way too much band-aiding code that any new addition destroys said bandaid and makes everything glitch out.
They really need to make a halt in new killers and cosmetics and invest everything into the main code first.
If anything, adding more and more cosmetics is only going to bloat the code even more in the end, which isn't good at all.

I never claimed they don't. All I say it's not enough and that the point is valid. Nothing more or less.
I personally would give bhvr the advice to focus on cosmetics so they keep earning money but stop with DLCs. Meanwhile fixing core fundamental issues, bugs and add some real settings and not that garbage we have right now. They would probably only slip 1, maybe 2 chapters and we had probably some insane huge results. Skipping chapters just gives them more time for fixing.

Why would they fix the game when they can just sell cosmetics
2 -
How about screw you? This is people's livlihoods you are suggesting we threaten over your stupid hobby.
3 -
this is literal hot air
no one in this thread is aware of how BHVR allocates funds for their teams
the "stop releasing cosmetics and start fixing your game" viewpoint is stupid
5 -
Cosmetics lies on different team, not the main, that makes killers and etc.
That doesnt work like this, mate
1 -
Why not both?
I think the aggressive schedule of getting new killers/survivors out is more to blame.

Y’all know you can’t just hire anyone, right?
